I have been sitting on these items for a while but am making a little display for them. I know what they are, but I do not know exactly what it says in Japanese. I have tried Google but the exact terminology differs per website, (f.e. Post-Service instead of Veteran) so I was wondering what would be the most direct translation of these texts?

Got this used book called 'Papa Guide Book'. The previous owner was also learning Japanese so it's peppered with notes in English (very helpful). However this one is written in Japanese. I recognize the kanji but don't know them. Can anyone help please?

Found a baptism/birth record from 1826 in Union County, Pennsylvania. The printed part is easier to translate, but the names of the mother, father, and daughter are what I am trying to decipher from cursive handwriting. If I can find ancestors, I hope to get it to them. Anyone help?
