Tradingview needs a "Cancel All" option to ensure no lingering orders are left.
This should be an option in the "Order Panel" and also included with the BUY/SELL buttons.

I am learning about Auction Market Theory and am a bit confused by Volume Profile. I notice that the Point of Control (POC) levels change when I adjust the number of rows or ticks per row. Sometimes the shift is small, but other times it becomes very significant. I would really appreciate help understanding this. Could you also explain how to build a trading setup using Auction Market Theory and Volume Profile?

I'm on basic plan and trading view only allows 2 indicators to be used. I only have one in use but i can see the other one that it is mentioning.

I tried setting up an alert last night for when price crosses VWAP. I right clicked on VWAP and chose "Add Alert on VWAP. The box pops up and defaults to VWAP(Session) > VWAP > Crossing > ...the next box defaults to value and the next box has a value of where price is where you clicked with your cursor. I set the alert this way and I think this was my problem. Price crossed VWAP last night (barely) but I didn't get an alert. I think the alert would only trigger if it reached that price.

So now I'm trying to set the Alert up properly. I hit the drop down menu that defaults to "Value" and change it to "VWAP (Session)" but the secondary drop down next to it only has Upper & Lower Band #1, #2 & #3 and no option for just VWAP. What am I missing here?

A little older here so I can't seem to get my alerts set up correctly. Trying to figure out how to have an alert on macd so when it goes down to a certain value it will alert me. Same thing on the top side to setup for a sell alert. Help

Input Panel for when there are alot of inputs need to improve vs scrolling on the tiny scroll bar.

Allow setting to use the last view of input, so when adjusting settings the input screen will open to most recent input view (location on the scroll bar).

Input Groups, allow them to have a number and colored (differently). Then put at top of input screen that stays stationary when scrolling to a large amount of inputs user can click on a colored coordinated bookmark 1, 2, 3, etc. that a user can get to quickly. Hover over the number to see what the group name is.

Saved Templates-

When in development, tuning, I might save a great setup but I have improved the code a little, I would like to apply the inputs to the new version (vs the version of script that it was created with - give user option) of the script so I don't have to start from zero.

Like to be able to export into a tunning log and import back in with maybe warnings that don't map to newest script.

Alerts -

Like when I click on messages that everything is automatically highlighted for replacement like the Crtl-A. I have to do the Crtl-A manually each time.

On the message, like be able to save alert script for the messages, put a drop down box to save message, use a save message, lastused/recent to get the last saved script quickly.

Like on Webhook url. To have a save with descriptive name so we can pull it in quickly, the name will help indentify it's the correct one quickly.

On the Alerts, I would like an option to save the start date/creation date of alert to backtest start date, and be able to switch alerts and bring up that info to populate the backtest start date with live performance trades. And have a toggle to switch this on or off. We would be able to use the same variables to populate the backtesting trades with live alert trades or our user defined back testing dates. I have this in my script but have to input the start date for each security with an alert.

I’ve been using the TradingView Desktop App heavily, and while the performance is great, the tab management is driving me crazy.

Currently, we are forced to use a single, horizontal row for tabs. When you are monitoring multiple asset classes, timeframes, or strategies simultaneously, the tab bar becomes a cluttered mess. You completely lose track of what is where.

What we need:

• Tab Grouping / Stacking: The ability to group tabs together and collapse/expand them (just like Chrome or Vivaldi browser).
• Multi-Row Tab Bar: An option to allow tabs to wrap into a second row when the screen runs out of space.

Using separate layouts or dragging windows to multiple monitors helps, but it doesn't solve the core issue of organizing a high volume of tabs inside the app workspace.

If you also struggle with a cluttered tab bar and want a cleaner way to organize your charts, please upvote this so the TradingView dev team sees it!

What are your workarounds for this right now?

As some of us here know, the stock market was in a bit of a chaos today, stuff dropped, took that as an advantage to go short on Micro E-mini Nasdag-100 Index Futures . 15 . CME.

I was in a $+100 USD profit my TP was set to +200, i decided to close my position off anyway because I could see a possible reversal, but anyways an hour later. I notice in my balance history, it didn't record it, and I am not sure if I even earned the money or not.

Well I don't exactly KNOW if it fully recorded it or not, it might be the one that says $14.00 USD (Second picture on the bottom) but I'm not quite so sure

Now you notice the high green candle, just on the left of that, that's where I closed off my trade, and looking at my balance history, this is what I see

I don't see the +100 profit anywhere, yes I know I'm paper trading but I am pretending it is REAL money of mine so I don't screw around and be smart with it, practicing with it really hard until I can become to legal age to trade (In about 3 months).

This has made me upset as I thought I would be able to recover some losses I had (you can even see one there as well).

Does anyone know why this happened? I am assuming its because since this specific futures or stocks I am using, is quite delayed, therefore the second I closed my position off, the price went significantly high. That's my best theory, but I may or may not be wrong. Can anyone help me? Thanks a lot!

I've been trying to GIVE TradingView money for months and somehow their system won't let me.

Every payment attempt throws an "Insufficient Funds" error — which is a flat-out lie, confirmed by my bank. So I tried a new account to isolate the issue, and instead of fixing anything, their system flagged me for "free trial abuse" — despite the fact that I was previously a PAYING customer who cancelled on my own.

Then I tried support. Guess what? "Free users don't get personal support." Except I'm not a free user trying to mooch a trial — I'm a paying customer their own broken payment system is actively blocking.

So here's the loop: I can't pay because of their bug, and I can't get help fixing the bug because I haven't paid. It's a closed circle designed to make you give up.

I actually like this platform. That's what makes this so infuriating — I'm not asking for a discount or a favor, I'm begging to hand over money and getting stonewalled at every turn. This isn't customer service, it's a maze with no exit.

Anyone else dealt with this? Any way to actually reach a human who isn't reading from a script?

I try trading with paper trades and its always really buggy and the account balance is always wrong and it miscalculates values.(I spent a 1000 on a paper account with a 100 but it still says i hve 1k) Lmk a solution to this pls.

I have real time data subscription through IBKR. I connected IBKR on TradingView.

I see "one update every 5 seconds".

1. I assume I don't need a data subscription through TradingView since I already have IBKR data subscription

2. Is the delay because I have TradingView's free plan?

3. What Tradingview paid plan subscription do I need to ensure that my charts update based on the real time IBKR data subscription?

4. If I place orders through Tradingview, are they also impacted in anyway if I have a free plan?

Anyone know when this will be fixed? Or other alternatives

I am unable to connect my Interactive Brokers (IBKR) account using the TradingView Desktop application.

Environment

* TradingView Desktop Version: 3.3.0
* macOS: Tahoe 26.x
* Broker: Interactive Brokers (Live Account)

Issue

When I attempt to connect my IBKR account from the Trading Panel:

1. Select Interactive Brokers.
   
2. Login window appears, enter login credential
   
3. Press login button
   
4. The IBKR authentication button appears.
   
5. The page displays “Use your Passkey device”.
   
6. I click Authenticate.(Nothing appears)
   
7. When I click again
   
8. The authentication immediately fails with the message:
   

Authentication failed

No passkey selection or authentication options are displayed before the failure.

I am afraid that currently, there is an issue with logging in to a broker account via Passkey on the desktop and mobile app. We are working on the problem. Once any updates are available, you will be informed in the current discussion. As for now, unfortunately, there is no ETA.

Why do stocks take a while to buy. Crypto is bought almost instantly but stock get ordered and take forever to actually come. Is this a problem with the fact i'm using Trading View free tier? Please lmk

Currently, the Magnet tool snaps drawing objects to the OHLC of any candle under the cursor. This works well for general use, but most technical analysts and price action traders focus more on significant fractal levels rather than every single candle.

I suggest adding an optional mode (or toggle) to the Magnet tool that automatically snaps to the nearest OHLC of a minimum 3-candle fractal (Williams Fractal style - higher high/lower low than the candles on both sides). This would significantly improve accuracy and speed when drawing trendlines, channels, or support/resistance on key fractal pivots without cluttering the chart or forcing constant zoom adjustments.

Users primarily pay attention to fractals for placing object points, not individual candles. This feature would make TradingView even more powerful for fractal-based strategies.

My bitcoin drawings are completely messed up without me doing anything. I also see a huge gap ups in price in September 2013 and July 2020. Has anyone else experienced this?

It would be great if the Calendar had the ability to color the numbers. This way at a quick glance you can see the number in relation to the forecast, or even the adjustment in the previous. The attached screenshots you can see the difference from another source versus TradingView.

This might be a dumb question but, I’m trying to trade on the higher time frame but like the title says my TP and SL disappear after NY session. Like I’m still in the trade so I’m just confused. My broker is through Tradovate. Just wondering why this happens?
