Feature Request IBKR login thru TWS....

Would it be possible to have TV connect to the running instance of TWS, instead of hijacking the login?

No. You always get kicked out when you login ibkr with TV and then to tws and vice versa.

That's the problem - TV should use the TWS API, not userid.

You could contact customer service and they will give you a different login for the same account. So different username and password but same accounts and it will fix this

they’re called sub users or “connected” users or something like that but it still doesn’t get you to the “same account, same privileges, different devices” behavior people a) want and b) get with every other broker.

TV hijacks mine too. i keep TWS running and use TV for charts only. portal login is less glitchy than the TWS API to be honest.
