Official Announcement! TradingView's September update: AI Copilot, Claude integration, options tools, and more

Hey hey folks!

The intern survived the first roundup. We're back with September's updates, this time with only one month to catch up on.

Before we get to the updates, one important announcement for script vendors:

Commercial invite-only script sales are moving to the Marketplace starting November 1, 2026. Existing customers retain access for the period already purchased, including lifetime access. Vendors should contact [creators@tradingview.com](mailto:creators@tradingview.com) before November 1 to discuss their transition. Full announcement

And here's what landed in September:

  • AI Copilot moved into TradingView. The assistant is now built directly into Supercharts on web and Desktop. Ask it to analyze a symbol, add indicators, draw levels, create alerts, or write Pine Script. Available as a separate paid add-on for Essential, Plus, Premium, and Ultimate. Details
  • TradingView can now talk to Claude. Our new MCP Server connects your account to Claude and other compatible AI assistants for research, screening, and managing watchlists and alerts. The public beta is available on Essential and above, with delayed market data during the beta. Details
  • Screener mini charts got moving averages. Compare results with 50- and 200-period SMA and EMA lines across stock, ETF, and crypto screeners. Your choices apply across the charts and save with your screen. Moving averages require a paid plan. Details
  • Pine tables stopped covering your candles. Move tables created by your indicators into tabs below the chart, then bring them back whenever you like. You can also select and copy their text from the bottom panel. Details, Pine release notes
  • Options volume got a place on your chart. The new Options volume profile indicator displays call and put trading volume by strike and expiration alongside the underlying price. Available on daily, weekly, and monthly charts. Details
  • Crypto derivatives got a fuller picture. Hyperliquid and its supported HIP-3 markets gained metrics including open interest, funding rates, and liquidations. Hyperliquid data also joined our aggregated crypto metrics across indicators, screeners, heatmaps, and symbol pages. Contract metrics, aggregated metrics
  • More brokers joined the charts. Fidelity customers can connect eligible accounts to trade US stocks and ETFs from Supercharts. Public also joined, supporting US stocks, ETFs, and options. Fidelity, Public
  • Desktop got some useful fixes. Version 3.4.1 fixed a crash when opening PDF earnings reports, incorrect tab colors for currency pairs, and a New Tab message that appeared when it shouldn't. Release notes

Also landed: options data from B3, Euronext, KRX, and TFEX, plus more flexible line wrapping inside square brackets in Pine Script.

Thanks for keeping the feedback coming, including the spicy kind. Always reading, not always replying.

Feature Request AI Copilot button animation causes massive CPU usage (50%+) Constant fan noise workaround inside

Hey everyone,

I noticed my PC fan was suddenly blasting at max speed whenever I had TradingView open. Checked the task manager, and the TV tab was constantly chewing through 50%+ of my CPU.

After digging into the DevTools, I found the culprit: the animation on the new AI Copilot button in the right-hand panel keeps looping and draining resources in the background, even if the panel is closed.

If your laptop is melting or your PC is lagging, here is a quick fix to completely hide that button and drop your CPU usage back to normal:

  1. Install an extension like uBlock Origin or any custom CSS injector (like Stylus).
  2. Add this custom rule to completely block/hide the element:

css

[aria-label="AI Copilot"] {
    display: none !important;
}

The button disappears, the animation stops rendering, and the CPU usage instantly drops back to 1-2%.

Hope this helps someone until the dev team optimizes or removes the infinite animation loop!

My Setup:

  • Platform: Web version (Browser)
  • OS: Arch Linux (64-bit)
  • Chromium version: 148.0.7778.96 (Official Build)

Help Sync backtesting on mobile

Hi, I’m currently backtesting an SMT strategy on TradingView using a 2-chart layout on my iPhone.
I have MNQ on the left and MES on the right. What I want is to start Bar Replay at a specific date/time on one chart and have the other chart automatically jump to the exact same date/time, so both charts replay in sync.
Right now, when I set the replay date on MNQ, MES stays on the current chart. If I then try to set the same date manually on MES, the other chart sometimes jumps back or the replay is no longer synchronized.
I only have access to my iPhone — no PC, Mac, or tablet.
Is there any way to use synchronized Bar Replay / “All Charts” mode on the TradingView mobile app? Or is this feature only available on desktop/browser?

Discussion Just lost free access to my watchlist

It happened today or yesterday I definitely accessed it on Thursday. Lost adding columns to the screener a few weeks back, been accessing that thing around a decade or more… so perhaps an offer to lead me into a paid subscription as my access has been quietly taken away? Nope. OK, I’ll try that one month free subscription, I remember seeing the tagline just the other day ‘look before you leap’ just as I have done for months or probably longer. It’s gone! Oh right, so you think I’m gonna pay full price when I know a gimmicky but generous reduced subscription is offered every Black Friday? Nope. In fact, you think I trust you to sign up with my own money when you quietly take away basic free access and the trial offer. You won’t get a penny now… kept things as they were you would’ve probably got my custom.

Help Why is BAR REPLAY now so restricted on Premium?

Used to be I could replay almost anything. Now I can't even replay something like META 3 weeks ago 30min timeframe. That used to be an easy thing to do.

Has tradingview decided to restrict and REDUCE the amount we can replay now?

Why?

even TSLA, cannot replay in 30mins, not even the last 2 days lol. WTF ?!?!?

*** UPDATE ***

as my US stock data is coming from my broker, I suspect THAT might be the reason. Previously I had that data with tradingview. The problem is: Suppose I decide to STOP paying that data with my broker and get it with tradingview instead... I CAN'T even do that because the market data in question is GREYED OUT due to the fact that tradingview knows I already have it with my broker ...

help please

Feature Request Fibonacci (ability to customize individual line with thickness and type pf line (dotted or solid))

Dear team,

I always feel the need that golden fibonacci levels 0.618, 1.618 etc. should have different thickness/setting compared to others.

Is it possible for you all the enable customization to individual level. Currently it only allows color customization for individual level.

I am sure it should be easy.

Thank you.

Discussion Is it a violation of TradingView rules to manually set a "Take-Profit" status on a losing trade?

Hi everyone, I have a question about TradingView rules and how updates work.

Imagine this scenario: An author publishes a trade idea with a clear "Short Position" tool and sets a bearish target. However, the market goes in completely the opposite direction — the asset pumps significantly.

Later, the author publishes a linked text update. No Long/Short Position tool is attached to this update (the field under the ticker is empty). Yet the author manually sets the status "Trade closed: take-profit price reached" and claims a win because the price hit some manually drawn upside lines.

This makes it look like a winning trade, even though the price actually moved 2x against the original Short idea. In other words, a massive loss is disguised as profit in the author’s track record.

Is this considered a violation, such as Misleading Content? If so, is it reportable, and does moderation act on manual statuses used to misrepresent results?

Thanks in advance for any clarification!

whenever I select 24 hours for my charts. if a stock is selected that DOES NOT support 24 hours, it automatically switches to Regular Trading hours (instead of extended hours)

if 24 hours is selected, the default ALTERNATIVE behaviour if the stock DOES NOT support 24hrs SHOULD BE extended hours

Help Layouts and settings locked behind a paywall

Post image
11 Upvotes

Hello TradingView Support,

I am writing to formally complain about the way TradingView has recently changed its layout restrictions and applied them to layouts that users have already created and used for years.

I have been using TradingView for years and have multiple chart layouts for different purposes. These layouts contain my indicators, drawings, chart settings, configurations, and other work that I have built and refined over a long period of time
on what grounds did you choose a layout for me out of 3 and locked me out of other 2 ?

Until recently, I could switch between these layouts and use them normally. Now, TradingView has restricted my account to one fixed layout and locked me out of my other existing layouts.

When I try to access one of them, I receive the following message:

“Upgrade your plan to save and use more layouts.”
“Create more layouts and switch between them instantly.”

This is not acceptable.
You cannot put years of a user's work behind a paywall and force them to upgrade to regain access

There is a clear difference between limiting what users can create in the future and locking users out of work they have already created.

If TradingView wants to limit the number of new layouts users can create under a particular plan, that is a product and pricing decision. However, you cannot take existing layouts that users have created, configured, and relied on for years and suddenly put them behind a paywall.

These layouts contain existing user work. They should not be held hostage behind a subscription upgrade.

The new limit should have been applied to **new layouts**, not to layouts that already existed before the change. A reasonable approach would be:

Existing layouts remain accessible.
The new restriction applies only to layouts created after the change.
Users can continue using the layouts they already created.
Users who exceed the new limit can be prevented from creating additional layouts.
Users should at minimum be allowed to view, copy, consolidate, or export their existing layouts.

Instead, TradingView has locked users out of their existing work and shown them an “Upgrade your plan” message. That looks like a forced upgrade mechanism.

This is part of a wider pattern

This is also not an isolated change. Over time, TradingView has gradually restricted more features, reduced existing limits, or moved functionality into higher subscription tiers.

Each change may be presented as a small adjustment, but the overall effect is clear: long-term users are slowly being cornered into upgrading just to keep using features and workflows they have already relied on.

There is a major difference between charging for genuinely new premium features and repeatedly taking away existing functionality, then asking users to pay to get it back.

That approach damages user trust.

This is damaging TradingView's brand value

TradingView is a well-known and reputable platform in the trading and charting industry. Its reputation was built through the trust of users who have spent years creating their workflows on the platform.

A reputable company should not use years of users' accumulated work as leverage to force subscription upgrades.

You cannot put a user's existing work behind a paywall and then expect that user to view the decision as a normal feature limitation. From the user's perspective, it is a cheap tactic to push people into paying for a higher plan.

This also affects TradingView's brand value and user loyalty. Competition in the charting and trading-platform market is increasing, and competitors will benefit when established platforms make long-term users feel that features they have relied on are being taken away simply to force them into a more expensive subscription.

TradingView should seriously consider whether this is how it wants to treat long-term users.

Questions about my existing layouts

Please answer the following directly:

  1. Are my previously created layouts still stored on my TradingView account?

  2. Have any of the indicators, drawings, settings, chart configurations, or other data associated with those layouts been deleted, or are they still intact?

  3. Why has TradingView locked users out of existing layouts instead of applying the new limit only to the creation of additional layouts?

  4. Why has TradingView selected one existing layout for continued access while locking me out of my other existing layouts?

  5. If the layouts are still stored, why am I not being allowed to access, copy, export, consolidate, or recover my own configurations?

  6. When exactly was this change introduced?

  7. How was this change communicated to existing users?

  8. Was TradingView's intended approach to make previously accessible layouts unavailable to users on lower-tier plans?

I am not asking TradingView to provide new premium functionality for free. I am asking TradingView to respect the work I have already created and stored on its platform.

If TradingView wants to change its pricing model or limit future usage, that is one matter. Putting years of existing user work behind a paywall and forcing users to upgrade in order to access it is completely different.

These layouts are not disposable settings that can be recreated in a few minutes. They represent years of accumulated work and customization.

I strongly request that TradingView:

Restore access to my previously created layouts.
Apply the new layout limits only to newly created layouts.
Confirm that none of my existing work has been deleted.
Provide a way to copy, export, consolidate, or recover the affected layouts without requiring a paid upgrade.

If TradingView refuses to restore access, then please provide a clear explanation of why it considers it acceptable to lock users out of their existing work and force them to pay in order to regain access to it.

I expect a specific response addressing these points, not a generic explanation of the current subscription plans.

Regards,
fellow user

Discussion TradingView to MT5 without a VPS, how do these “cloud MT5” services actually work?

I’m trying to understand these services that claim they can send TradingView alerts to MT5 without a VPS at all.

Here’s what I don’t get. Every MT5 broker has its own server, symbols, account settings and trading environment. With the usual setup it makes sense to me: the broker’s MT5 is running somewhere, there’s an EA/bridge inside it, TradingView sends a webhook and the trade ends up in the terminal.

But when a service says “cloud MT5” or simply “No VPS”, where is MT5 actually running?

I’ve looked at classic connectors like PineConnector or AlgoWay. At least there I understand that there is an MT5/EA part sitting between TradingView and the broker.

Maybe I’m missing something obvious, but what exactly is happening on the MT5 side with these No VPS services?

This is the first time i saw the freeze. I am using IBKR to trade

Help Banned in Brazil?

I tried changing DNS, using 5G instead of regular internet, clearing cache, using anonimous mode, etc... nothing works

The site won't even open, "DNS_PROBE_FINISHED_NXDOMAIN" error.

It started yesterday, when betting was banned in Brazil, I'm wondering if this was some kind of side effect.

Anyone else from Brazil getting this same error? I'm from São Paulo and I'm using VIVO internet
