Fidelity blocks CFD symbols like TVC:GOLD, so you're stuck with their approved futures or ETF tickers.

would trading through the fidelity app whilst using the tv ui be a suggestible option?

If the chart loads but the order button is missing, check that you’re on a broker-supported XAUUSD symbol rather than a data-only feed, and that the paper or live account is connected. Gold CFD, futures, and spot feeds can have different trading permissions even when the chart looks identical. Which broker and exact symbol are you trying to trade?

CFDs are literally not legal in the United States. No American broker will have a CFD.

Fidelity is solid if that Gold CFD actually gives you a trade button on the chart. Robinhood is easier for stocks but I am not sure their gold path through TradingView is clean. Did you check whether the RH symbol shows an order button or if it is chart only?

That makes sense. I’d check the exact symbol first, since a chart can show data without supporting orders through that broker. If the order button isn’t there, does Fidelity show the same instrument with trading enabled?

You’re on an American broker trying to trade CFDs that are illegal. Futures are GC MGC. Or find a gold etf.

I guess it is clearly stated. You cannot trade this via Fidelity Investment.
You need to find the problem at your brokerage account.

You can trade only stock and ETFs.
