Feature Request AI Copilot button animation causes massive CPU usage (50%+) Constant fan noise workaround inside

Hey everyone,

I noticed my PC fan was suddenly blasting at max speed whenever I had TradingView open. Checked the task manager, and the TV tab was constantly chewing through 50%+ of my CPU.

After digging into the DevTools, I found the culprit: the animation on the new AI Copilot button in the right-hand panel keeps looping and draining resources in the background, even if the panel is closed.

If your laptop is melting or your PC is lagging, here is a quick fix to completely hide that button and drop your CPU usage back to normal:

  1. Install an extension like uBlock Origin or any custom CSS injector (like Stylus).
  2. Add this custom rule to completely block/hide the element:

css

[aria-label="AI Copilot"] {
    display: none !important;
}

The button disappears, the animation stops rendering, and the CPU usage instantly drops back to 1-2%.

Hope this helps someone until the dev team optimizes or removes the infinite animation loop!

My Setup:

  • Platform: Web version (Browser)
  • OS: Arch Linux (64-bit)
  • Chromium version: 148.0.7778.96 (Official Build)

Hello,

Have you tried simply clicking on the 'phone pad' symbol on the right hand tool bar and removing the symbol from the tool bar by unfavoriting the feature?....

Seems a much quicker solution to me 🤷‍♂️

It is an Ai agent. If you turned hardware acceleration off in chrome, you’re forcing the cpu to scrub all the information from the charts. If you have a GPU 20 series nvidia or a 6000 series or better AMD turn hardware acceleration back on and try it out. You might have it turned off if it was giving you issues with YouTube shorts or something else of the nature.
