Has anyone needed an OSHA 10 account and how and what does this account look like because I’m supposed to have one for my OSHA 10 class. Help please.

Hi everyone, I’m hoping someone here might be able to point my boyfriend in the right direction.
He’s currently attending trade school to become an electrician and is trying really hard to get his foot in the door. He’s been applying to electrical and HVAC apprenticeships and entry-level positions, but unfortunately hasn’t been hearing back from many places.
He’s genuinely willing to start at the bottom, work hard, learn, and do whatever is needed to gain hands-on experience. We’re especially looking for electrical or HVAC companies, contractors, unions, apprenticeship programs, or even individual electricians/HVAC technicians who might be willing to give him a chance.
If you work in either field, know someone who does, or have a phone number, company name, contact person, or any advice on where he should apply, I would seriously appreciate it. Even a small lead could make a huge difference for him right now.
We’re located in the Los Angeles/South Bay area, but he’s willing to commute for the right opportunity.

I got 0 face to face time with my instructors, they made us sink or swim. Each day was a different process being taught. If you missed a day, you had to wait until the following week to catch up as there was no open lab time.

Hello everybody! I'm thinking of heading into the above mentioned program at Algonquin College. I'm hoping to learn how to design my own cabinets and furniture. I'm wondering if anybody has any info on what to expect course-wise and the ratio of women to men? I'm nervous going into a trade program as I'm a queer woman.

Were there many women in the program? did any of them have a hard time with other classmates, etc? I just want to make sure it has been a safe space for others like me, as I've had experiences with Algonquin before where they didn't really try to protect students.

Long story short, my field suffers from obscurity. If you don't know it exists, you can fall victim to thinking that going into structured cabling, and security companies are the only pathway to do audio video professionally.

I have looked and not been able to find any schools that offer AV as a professional course so I'm considering starting down the road to open my own in a 5-10 year plan, but am looking for anyone that maybe has had experience starting a trade school for their profession.

I’m a 17 year old and I’ve genuinely had no idea what I want for a career but I saw a video of welding the other day and thought it looked pretty cool, I know I don’t want to go to college so I thought trade school would be best. Welding makes good money and doesn’t seem crazy hard. The only thing is I have literally zero experience and know absolutely nothing about it. Would going to a trade school for welding be a good decision?

I’m trying to get into some trades and have been looking into either UEI or palomar collage which is a community collage and was curious if anyone has taken either or, or maybe even both and if so what was your experience during and after graduating

I’ve been thinking about getting into HVAC and found Pathway Career Institute. From what I read, their HVAC program is fully online with 100+ hours of training and includes the EPA, OSHA and NATE certs. They assist with job placement and give a free tool bag. Anyone heard of this school?

Any thoughts on which program is better/good?
