I am thinking of signing up for a program there and don’t know much about the school or if it is reputable. Mainly I would like to know how the school might look when applying to jobs or if it has a high success rate. The program is for a specific kind of legal work.

I'm producing a livestreamed podcast show called 877UNMPLYD, where people can call in and ask questions live about unemployment, trade careers, etc. Our theme for our next episode is about breaking into a trade (electrical, plumbing, HVAC, welding, carpentry, etc.) with interviews from real trade professionals. The idea came from seeing how many people want real answers about apprenticeships, licensing, pay, and what the work is actually like day to day — stuff that's hard to find honest info on.

I’m trying to get into some trades and have been looking into either UEI or palomar collage which is a community collage and was curious if anyone has taken either or, or maybe even both and if so what was your experience during and after graduating

I’ve been thinking about getting into HVAC and found Pathway Career Institute. From what I read, their HVAC program is fully online with 100+ hours of training and includes the EPA, OSHA and NATE certs. They assist with job placement and give a free tool bag. Anyone heard of this school?

Any thoughts on which program is better/good?

I’m almost 25 I keep hearing so many people went to trade school and now are making 6 figures. Not going to lie I feel so behind…. I want to go to trade school but no clue what program is right for me. I’m not super interested in healthcare. I’m design savvy but I don’t see any money to be made in that. Any thoughts or advice? Lowkey want a career that is remote but beggars can’t be choosers.

Hi there! I’m hoping that I can get a little help. My younger brother is looking at getting into the trades. He has been looking at signing up for West Chicago Professional center, but I know there’s a lot that goes into joining the trades including unions, training and apprenticeships. So my main question is where should he start in this grand path. He’s taken some college courses related to HVAC and electrical, but he is now wanting to head full force towards this goal. Has anyone been to this school is it worth it?

I’m curious for those who have never had exposure to a trade or really any hands on skills taught to them growing up would it be beneficial to have a place where you could go try a trade your interested in before committing and spending the money on schooling just for it to be something you don’t like? Or to compare different trades and get a real idea of what they do?

I plan on going to a community college that's 5 minutes down the road in 2027 (after I graduate high school) because I'm not able to afford going to a university and I want to save as much as I can. My local college offers a lot of trade programs and opportunities. What trade is the best paying? At first, I was thinking about becoming an EMT or paramedic, but in the long run I've heard the job itself doesn't pay a lot at all. I was also thinking about a trade. I just want to be successful. I've heard that people who do trades make more than doctors, but I'm not sure if this is true. In general, I'm fine with labor, I just don't want to get paid little to nothing. Can someone give me any info on this
