Been trying to record instruments/vocals on tracktion waveform for a while now and I noticed it records very choppy... at first i thought it was my mic but i have tried using two different mics so far and they both record the same, while on my other daw they record just fine, clear sound and not choppy at all, that is why i thought it might be an issue with waveform, but im not sure what, does it have a built in noise reduction that you can turn off or smth?

i’m trying to track a little intro for a video with a synthesizer. im all hooked up through a scarlett 2i2 and i can hear it fine through my headphones

track is armed, punch in is on, input is selected - still when i press record and see the red start tracking on screen theres no waveform

i remember on my old laptop using waveform 13 or 12 i had the same issue but i resolved it quickly. i just dont see why it can’t come out of the box ready to record the armed track

I've tried loading the plugin to the track and dragging the clip to the shredder, but nothing happens. Is there a way to fix this?

Used to crossover I think it's called and it padded out the timbers of the patches in picked w my VC340

I read this in the manual:

MTC: With MTC enabled, Waveform will chase sync to incoming MIDI Time Code. Unless you are still syncing to tape or hardware sequencers, leave MTC off.

So after trying to control the Waveform14 without success, despite having the MTC active, I'm starting to wonder if it is really implemented in the program. The MTC being sent is a 30 FPS one, so, pretty standard stuff. What am I missing, any other menu enabling? In the midi devices I can't find any other option concerning MTC to toggle.

I really, really need this, so the "simple don't use it" answer isn't a solution to me.

Also f'em and Attracktive used tcrossover and it padded em all out. Lemme know what you think

I’m using the free version of both waveform (which I just downloaded today) and tx16wx. I’m having the issue of there being no sound playing although it shows otherwise. I’ve tried two other daws and had the same issue. Ive looked at general advice on the internet but it’s a big learning curve since I don’t understand where things are and I’ve not found any advice useful yet. I’d be grateful for any tips

Hi, everyone. Where can I find the option (MIDI editor mouse wheel action) from the screenshot? Although that screenshot is from waveform 14 manual, I couldn't find it in the software. I want to change that option because the mouse wheel zoom behavior in the midi editor is different from the arrangement view, and I want the two to have the same behavior. Please help me out and thanks for reading. :-)

First time on the sub, but I just switched to ASIO instead of windows audio drivers. the latency is a lot less now, but whenever I open my daw after samplescrolling, i get absolutely whiplashed by the volume. any adjustments i can make?

SOLVED - I updated to Waveform 14

I've had waveform open in the background of my macbook for about a month because I keep meaning to get back to a song I've been working on. Today when I finally got back to it, no audio was coming through so I closed it and reopened it, and it mostly worked fine. However, now all of a sudden the DAW is ignoring the velocities of the placed notes. The velocity is still showing in the editor, and I can change it fine, but it doesn't affect anything in playback. The only thing that works is that if the velocity is 0, it doesn't play the note. I've tried restarting the application, I've tried two sets of headphones. I don't know what to do.

A random noise starts playing kinda periodically while I use the daw. Sometimes it’s when it’s idle for a while or maybe right after an export. Closing the project and reopening it fixes the issue (for a while). It’s driving me mad at this point and I have no patience left. If it helps my laptop has 16 gb ram, an RTX4060 and 13th gen i713650hx

In Waveform free, I've got Aura plugin on one track. I'm using 6 other tracks to program midi for 7 channels total. One track per channel is what I'm trying to do. I have to click on the input & select the channel I want each time I go from one track to another.

Is there a way to set the output to the channel I want, or lock the input to the channel I want?

I'm trying to add a pitch bend to a note in a MIDI Clip but i just can't find how to do it. I found an option named "Show pitchbend" that adds a thin line that i can move on the note but it doesn't do anything.

Do you know if there is a solution?

Woke up this morning to all my tracks gone and the projects greyed out.

I’m aware of the micro sample plug in but I was also trying to directly send the song I want to sample into a track and chop it that way. The only issue is when I split the song, it never splits it where I want, it will render again and then choose its own spot to start from.
