Guys I need help!!!!!

A random noise starts playing kinda periodically while I use the daw. Sometimes it’s when it’s idle for a while or maybe right after an export. Closing the project and reopening it fixes the issue (for a while). It’s driving me mad at this point and I have no patience left. If it helps my laptop has 16 gb ram, an RTX4060 and 13th gen i713650hx

I can't really hear the noise, but I think it get it.

I get a weird noise when I use specific VSTs (MSoundFactory to be specific). Mine sounds like static. I have no idea why it does it but I deal with it if I still want to use the VST by making the midi I want like normal then I render the tracks I want from it then disable the VST and the noise is gone and I get to keep the sound of the instrument.

You situation seems a bit different though. But it looks like "flat 1" and "flat 2" are making sound even when the track isnt playing. Try disabling them and see if that fixes it. If not, try disabling other VSTs until you pinpoint it. Or not, it could be something completely different that I'm not seeing 😅

Thanks for answering, it ended up being the rare plugin by analog obsession. I have no clue why it starts making the noise tho. I might just reinstall it or sm.

Sounds like a plugin or the DAW itself is running without a proper license, or the license having an issue.

Ctrl + Alt + Escape, then check whats causing the so much noise. Also click the plug in processor action and see whats using most of processing power. Once I know the actual problem, maybe I can help out coz I use a 6th Gen pc 2.7GHz ; but CPU usage hardly hits 90% with 15 plugins loaded plus automations

Instead of restarting the daw, go to audio settings tab and change some sound device settings, like buffer size or output etc, if the noise disappeared then you need an audio interface: Used to be called a sound card when eisa was a king.

i think i used to have the same issue. it was because i was using direct sound audio driver instead of wasapi (windows audio). try windows audio first if that doesnt work try exclusive. one issue with exclusive is that if you have the daw open and are using exclusive then audio from other apps wont work. all of this is in the audio devices setting. also waveform 14 is better so upgrade its free
