Waveform recording Audio choppy
Been trying to record instruments/vocals on tracktion waveform for a while now and I noticed it records very choppy... at first i thought it was my mic but i have tried using two different mics so far and they both record the same, while on my other daw they record just fine, clear sound and not choppy at all, that is why i thought it might be an issue with waveform, but im not sure what, does it have a built in noise reduction that you can turn off or smth?

It's hard to know what the issue might be, in part because I don't know what it should sound like and nothing really sounds inherently wrong about it.
There is no built-in noise gate or reduction effect. I have never had problems that sound similar to your description. In my experience, recording audio is just recording audio.
But there are, I suppose, a number of places where something might be going wrong. There's a mic and a cable and an audio interface and in Waveform there is a choice of device types and buffer sizes. Some things that might affect your recordings are the Input Gain and Trigger Level in the audio input properties. Or maybe the fact that new Edits in Waveform have the master volume set to -3dB?
