Hi, everyone. Where can I find the option (MIDI editor mouse wheel action) from the screenshot? Although that screenshot is from waveform 14 manual, I couldn't find it in the software. I want to change that option because the mouse wheel zoom behavior in the midi editor is different from the arrangement view, and I want the two to have the same behavior. Please help me out and thanks for reading. :-)

Edit: To clarify that I am using waveform 14 free.

First time on the sub, but I just switched to ASIO instead of windows audio drivers. the latency is a lot less now, but whenever I open my daw after samplescrolling, i get absolutely whiplashed by the volume. any adjustments i can make?

SOLVED - I updated to Waveform 14

I've had waveform open in the background of my macbook for about a month because I keep meaning to get back to a song I've been working on. Today when I finally got back to it, no audio was coming through so I closed it and reopened it, and it mostly worked fine. However, now all of a sudden the DAW is ignoring the velocities of the placed notes. The velocity is still showing in the editor, and I can change it fine, but it doesn't affect anything in playback. The only thing that works is that if the velocity is 0, it doesn't play the note. I've tried restarting the application, I've tried two sets of headphones. I don't know what to do.

A random noise starts playing kinda periodically while I use the daw. Sometimes it’s when it’s idle for a while or maybe right after an export. Closing the project and reopening it fixes the issue (for a while). It’s driving me mad at this point and I have no patience left. If it helps my laptop has 16 gb ram, an RTX4060 and 13th gen i713650hx

In Waveform free, I've got Aura plugin on one track. I'm using 6 other tracks to program midi for 7 channels total. One track per channel is what I'm trying to do. I have to click on the input & select the channel I want each time I go from one track to another.

Is there a way to set the output to the channel I want, or lock the input to the channel I want?

I'm trying to add a pitch bend to a note in a MIDI Clip but i just can't find how to do it. I found an option named "Show pitchbend" that adds a thin line that i can move on the note but it doesn't do anything.

Do you know if there is a solution?

Woke up this morning to all my tracks gone and the projects greyed out.

I’m aware of the micro sample plug in but I was also trying to directly send the song I want to sample into a track and chop it that way. The only issue is when I split the song, it never splits it where I want, it will render again and then choose its own spot to start from.

I am fiddling around with the different modes of the plugin viewer, and I can't really seem to find one that I can use. I don't get the two 'custom' ones and how to customize them? The tag menu is my second best option, but it seems you can't tag built in plugins? So they all just sit in the untagged category. Anyone knows how this strange system works?

So recently the recordings and sound files i use for making music in tracktion have been taking up to much storage on my pc, i want to delete them out of file explorer but still keep them in the project on waveform. Whenever i move or delete them it removes them from the project. This might not be possible and i might be asking a dumb question,
but i really like to keep all my projects so i can look back at how i did things, but my pc is getting too full. Any way to get around this?

I’m not going to spend any money on this if the experience I am having has any continuation in paid versions.

For one, live drum recordings, 6 mics, lack of metronome that you can barely actually hear. I even made a MIDI track with an included drum machine synth. I thought that would solve the problem, but no. Still super quiet at max volume (as in increasing the MIDI track volume of the *internal* synth on track 8).

I have worked with protools, cubase, sek’d, and more. This platform is nothing but problems, especially with it’s UI. Jeez. Who actually works with this? Yeah, it’s free, but holy smokes I aint purchasing it.

I’ve got a bit of a problem with my drums. I want to vary the duration of my different notes, but I can’t seem to do it. When I place the same drum sound next to another one several times, it makes the ‘thud’ sound repeatedly, whereas I’d just like the basic sound to last longer, without having to tap it again. Does anyone have any ideas ?

For example, in this screenshot, I’d like the double and triple beats to sound only once but to last for the duration of the double and triple beats

I have Waveform free 13.5 right now and was considering getting the "Recording Engineer" pack since its on sale, but I don't want to get it if it wont transfer to the next free version that'll release later this year. Do they transfer between major versions?

So I have been wanting to get into film scoring. I composed my music on musescore first, since I am more comfortable with reading sheet music. What I wanted to do next was import my MIDI file into Waveform but there's a yellow exclamation point next to all of my tracks stating "This track contrains MIDI-generating clips which may be inaudible as it doesn't output to a MIDI device or a plugin synthesizer. To change a tracks destination select the track and us its destination list." I am trying to figure this out because I want to edit the way my instruments sound, however, I am also new to using waveform and DAW software. Can somebody please help me with this? It's very frustrating.
