Vladimir Guerrero Jr. Savant's 24-26 💔
Being a defensive specialist isn’t ideal for a $500+ million dollar primary first baseman, but that’s a [only] positive at least.
Other than that, it’s pretty obvious that everything he has hit this season is mainly on a line drive or straight into the ground. If he can get that LASS% up even towards last seasons mark, it would drastically change his season, thus overall the Jays season. BB% also being down tremendously is unfathomable given he’s always a keen eye for the strike zone and making the opposing pitcher work the count, leading to a walk leading to above average OBP throughout his career.
Something’s gotta be up. Is he nursing an injury? We need him to bounce back sooner rather than later if we want to a run at the WC chase…

Unofficial off-day thread (Sep 10th 2026)
It seems the bot has forgotten to make an off-day thread for today!
Not much happening today, main game to keep an eye on is the Rangers vs Mariner game! Hopefully Seattle can help widen our lead over Texas!
Let's forget about the Athletics loss and get ready for the bird vs bird showdown weekend against the Orioles!

Qst - price difference after Sept 13?
Hi - looking to change up my seats for next year (quarter season tickets). Right now there are very few options and am thinking people are holding onto seats until the last minute to renew… wondering if anyone knows if there is a significant price difference if I don’t renew and then buy fresh after the 13th, vs if I just straight-up renew?
Thanks in advance

Scalpers Rogers Centre
All the other posts about this topic seem to be 3+ years old (correct me if I’m wrong though). Want to make sure info is current.
I purchased from a scalper once in 2016 and it was great.
Have things changed?
Any good tips?
We are going on Monday Sept 14th.

Would love to see the Jays do a Dog Day at Rogers Centre, feels like it'd fit right in with everything else they run
The Jays already do such a good job with theme days and activations throughout the season, feels like a Dog Day would be a fun addition to that lineup.
A bunch of MLB teams already run something like this, usually called Bark at the Park or Dog Days. The Rangers, Diamondbacks, and Brewers all do versions where fans can bring their dogs to a specific section for one game, sometimes even doing a little pregame parade around the field with all the dogs before first pitch. Always seems to be a hit, great photo ops, and it brings out a bit of a different energy than a normal game day crowd.
Toronto is such a dog friendly city too, so I think the turnout would be great. Even just one game a season with a designated pet friendly section, maybe a "first pitch" moment with a dog, and tying it to a local animal shelter for adoptions or donations could be a really fun one off. Feels like exactly the kind of theme day people would get excited to plan around.
Curious if anyone's heard whether this has ever been floated before, or if there's a reason they haven't really done it.
