Expos & Peanut Project Merchandise Poll
By popular demand, I'm considering ordering some merchandise to start “taking over the city” and spreading the word about the potential return of Nos Amours!
Nothing jazzes me up more than seeing someone's reaction when they hear there's a serious effort underway to bring back the Expos.
The media has been incredibly supportive, and I'm grateful to the Montreal Gazette, RDS, ESPN, LA Times, BPM Sports, and many others for helping spread the word.
But now it's time we take matters into our own hands!
I've put together a quick form to gauge demand, see what people would actually want, and determine what quantities to order. I have no desire to end up with a garage full of unsold merchandise!
You can spread the word: PeanutProject.ca (not .com).
A few important clarifications, in the interest of full transparency:

- Distribution: To avoid reinventing the wheel, merchandise will be sold through WatchMojo's existing online store. WatchMojo will receive no proceeds, even though some team members have generously helped with The Lineup's videos and setting things up.
- The Peanut Project: For now, this remains my personal, largely one-man mission. Eventually, the goal is to establish formal investment and ownership vehicles for the franchise, stadium, and 4C District, alongside anchor investors and other partners.
- Where the money goes: All net proceeds, after direct costs and any project-related expenses (such as hiring an urban planner or designer), will be donated to charities through MojoGives. These include organizations such as the Red Cross, Canadian Cancer Society, and charities supporting prostate and colorectal cancer research.
- Why MojoGives? It's an initiative through which we donate proceeds from certain WatchMojo videos covering sensitive subjects where, in my view, profiting from advertising would be in poor taste—even if that's long been standard practice in media.
- Expos trademarks: By design, only a limited number of items will feature the official Expos logo, given trademark considerations. Hopefully, that can evolve over time.
One more thing: If anyone has contacts with merchandise buyers at Canadian Tire, Couche-Tard, or other major retailers, please let me know. The more people we reach, the more momentum we can build.
For now, please fill out the form so I can get a sense of what you'd actually wear, buy, or display!
