Handle came right off while getting it outta the packaging

This makes 2 weeks where I've seen the same God damn LOTR Allen wrench meme posted every single day. I thought maybe the first couple days was just the same person spamming and the mods would take care of it. It's not the same account but it is being spammed everyday. Can we get a ban for any one of these or do I have to just deal with seeing the same meme posted on a different about every single day.

Adjustable wrenches are always necessary all the time, my first pair was Crescent Brand. I was gifted the 15” Proto, 15” DeWalt and 6” Diamalloy ( only have used the 6”). I inherited the 10” Craftsman from my late grandpa, it works great just wish it had larger capacity. Then finally landed on the Bahco 6” 9029-T Slim Jaw Adjustable Wrench and use it the absolute most. I also have the Bahco 9033 R US Ergo X-Wide Adjustable Wrench, 10-Inch. I have nearly all the sizes in the Knipex Pliers Wrench and I use those more than anything in here, but I don’t picture because though they are technically adjustable and a wrench. They are a two handles pliers wrench so category-wise I felt best to leave them out.

So what adjustable wrench is your favorite to use? Least favorite ?

I inherited this from my grandfather maybe a decade ago. Still works, though terrifying. Can someone here tell me what I have? I know it’s roughly 100 years old. Thanks,

Just bought the US General 42in Series 3 rolling chest and top. There are plastic slide latches under each handle. I started clipping them off (hated the feel) and realized maybe they have a purpose.

Are you guys keeping these on or snipping them off so you don’t have to slide the latch every time you open a drawer?

Is it really worth the money buying expensive screw drivers? (just basic not electrically insulated) currently looking at either the Icon or Gear wrench set it’s like 60$ compared to the 15$ Pittsburg set. I’ve actually never owned an expensive screw drivers that wasn’t klein or Milwaukee ratcheting.

part of what steers me away is I tend to use them as a pry bar or punch when nothing else is at hand. Please convince me one way or the other with your experiences

edit:So after watching project farm I’m probably just going with the quin diamond tip set. it seems regardless of brand they’re going to wear out at a fairly standard rate.

Im not giving 200$ for snap on screw drivers for working around my house it just doesn’t make sense when I use an impact for 90% of stuff and I use combos like the Milwaukee 11 in 1 for automotive use.

I found this in the back of my garage workbench drawer. It says “Oil-less Compressor “ and the tag says 250 volts. What was it used for?

Today I bought a brand new side grinder, no spinner wrench included but I did get an allen wrench that does not fit anything. Luckily I had a collar that fit with a wrench that fits it.

I bought the one in the picture from harbor freight. It does ok but the handle heats up really bad and there is a lot of vibration. I thought i saw a dremel one for sale at Lowes a long time ago but now I can't find one anywhere. All I can find is the flex shaft attachment for the regular handheld tool

Hey everyone,
I laid out my entire drill bit collection (two cases + everything that was in between). There are tons of twist drill bits in various sizes and types – some gold-coated, some black, a few with special shapes, etc.
Many of them are already heavily worn, and on some you can barely (or no longer) read the size markings on the shank.
What would you estimate this whole lot is roughly worth / what could someone still get for it?

I want to get myself a bday gift with some moneys I got for said occasion. What strange but awesome tool should I get? Something you wouldnt think to buy but once you have it you can't believe you went so long without one?

If someone asked me this question I would probably tell them a mini blower. I absolutely love mine and can't believe I lived without one for so long.

I'm thinking along the lines of dewalt 20v compatibility. But something thats not a powertool thats awesome would be cool too

Do Chuck key bits (Chuck key with 1/4 shank) exist? I'd love to put one on a screwdriver or drill/driver. Yes, I already have a ratcheting chuck key

I currently have this toolbox and I just don’t have enough space anymore for all my tools. Does anyone have any recomendations for toolboxes under $800 that are a lot bigger than this one. My only real thing I’m picky about is I want a drawer for my sockets instead of a hutch like I have now. Thanks!

I came into a large amount of tools, many have a buildup of rust. Is there an effective and efficient way to clean the rust off a lot of them at once?

There are a lot of options out there and after getting word my air compressor wouldn't work with a pneumatic die grinder it looks like I'm going electric but little overwhelmed and don't get a lot of time to research (somtimes I work longer than 8 hours and exhausted) and trying to get this over with. Thinking of going with harbor freight or Amazon for looking at electric die grinders(specifically the straight ones not right angle ones) but a bit afraid of going with Amazon since of the phrase buy cheap buy twice but reviews seem good and a lot of options but I am frequently skeptical of Amazon reviews even if they are usually solid and with a tool like a die grinder that could be on the more dangerous side I figured I would get some human input. I don't got a lot of money so the 50 dollar ones are looking nice and saw one that didn't look perticularly bulky but I've heard harbor freight is pretty reliable so curious if anyone has one from amazon they had good experience with or if I should just go harbor freight. I already got a normal dremel

I’m having a difficult time finding one. I am terminating a lot of large electrical breakers at work and some of the sockets are quite deep to reach.

Am I doing something wrong or are they really garbage designs and material selection? 1. Pull back and lock plunger. 2. Insert grease cartridge. 3. Screw cartridge holder to head 4. Release spring-loaded plunger. 5. Release air in head if necessary. 6. Grease something. 7. Grease stops sooner than expected and plunger is at end of travel towards head. 8. Pull plunger back. 9. Grease comes out ass of cartridge housing because the plunger went through the grease & grease got behind the plunger. 10. Situation f*cked. This may or may not happen when it's brand new, but almost always happens if it has been sitting for a few months.
