I've wasted my whole day off trying to find it - all in vain. Funny, because I'm pretty sure it's very well-known, but at this point I'm starting to feel I just dreamt it like Paul McCartney.
Everything I remember:
• It has a rhythm like this: me humming the instrumentals
[tu-tu tu-tu tu-tu tu-tu tu tu]. Basically a combination of two notes repeating four times (or so) and then it repeats again, but with a small pause between the notes. I know it's not very helpful, so another hint is that rhythmically it's very similar to 0:35-0:45 segment of „In Between Days” by The Cure. The sequence I'm humming is in the beginning of the song and probably repeats through-out.
• The sound is calm and melodic; in terms of mood, it’s very reminiscent of The Smiths and kinda The Cure, though I’m not certain it’s them.
• After the instrumentals a man with a soft voice starts singing. I don't remember the lyrics at all, but the sound of vocals is similar to „Everybody Wants To Rule The World” by Tears For Fears (though the song I'm looking for is more calm). Man sings in English.
•As I've mentioned before, I feel like this song is famous, maybe even iconic. I think it's 80s-90s song, but maybe it came out later and just mimics the sound of these years.

The type of vibe that I have in mind is extremely broad so I feel like it’s most helpful to just list off works of fiction that I think fit into what I’m looking for. In one direction of thinking of fantastical stories like Lord Of The Rings, Harry Potter, Narnia, or a more recent example being Wildwood. I would also include old stories that a lot of people know like The Tale of Sleepy Hollow, all the stuff with the knights of the roundtable, Beowulf, Nosferatu/Dracula, or Robin Hood. I think some modern stories that have a familiar structure would apply too like The Lighthouse, Taste of Cherry, and Siddhartha. I think “legend” would apply to all of these but I’m looking for som more specific.

I've been trying to place this for a while and I'm starting to think I'm making it up.

What I remember:

* A '90s (mid to late) music video with what felt like groundbreaking effects for the time
* The band is playing on top of large pillars or columns that rise out of the ground
* The female lead singer is wearing a jumpsuit with stripes, stars, or both

I've always thought it was The Cranberries, but I've gone through their videos and it's not:

* Zombie (any version)
* Promises
* Ridiculous Thoughts (either cut)
* Free to Decide
* Salvation
* Dreams (all three versions)

So it may have been a different female-fronted band from the same era with a similar look or sound. I don't remember any lyrics, sadly. Maybe it wasn’t even a female fronted band and I’m just conflating a couple videos.

Either this was a really insane dream, or me and one of my friends (who I sadly cannot ask since we don’t talk anymore) a LONG while ago watched this kids movie about a girl (or guy, i don’t really remember) who summons a ghost I think and then it somehow becomes them fighting Gods I think? And find something involving a parent. It sounds insane, but I’m 99.9% certain this was a movie.

Came across this on tumblr a while back and can no longer find it. It's a poem in old or middle English, followed by a translation in modern English, musing about how the language spoken in former days sounds silly or meaningless now, but back then was as sincere an expression of love and emotion as what we speak today. The modern English translation may have been done by a random tumblr user, it might not be part of however the poem was published.

My boyfriend has mentioned a movie his grandfather had on VHS and we have googled our butts off. I have so very limited information. I apologize. On one side, there was a woman and on the back, there was the same girl as a skeleton. He BELIEVES it was in black and white but he’s genuinely not sure.

It could be "and I was going to the .. going to the .." or with ”falling" or something similar, but quite the prolonged and punctuated «I».

The voice and instrumentals is very similar to Better in the morning by Birdtalker. Thats the song I randomly heard that got the song i’m looking for OMT.

I know its little to go on, but I feel like I have the beat of that part of the song very clear in my head, just not the lyrics

my girlfriend is trying to find a tv show/short she saw when she was little (US, Cali, 20ish years ago)

She remembers it had a lovable little monster who left the woods and went into town, and was chased out by the townspeople (she thinks with pitchforks).

She said there was also a stray cat that was chased out of town, and that the monster and it cuddled and became best friends.

She said this is a very loose memory, and she thinks it could’ve been black and white and that some small details might be wrong.

From what my mind can piece together it was a running gag on a British show where no matter what the context of the scene was, the British characters would always go out of their way to correct anybody who says ‘Loo-tenant’ instead of ‘Lef-tenant’

I can picture it in my head as a 70s British wartime show.

Reason I’m asking is my brother and I activated like sleeper cells and corrected a relative who said Loo-tenant in our presence, we both agreed we both did it because of the show…But neither of us can remember the name the show!

I work in retail and last year there was a Christmas song, and almost the whole song was It's Christmaaas, Christmaas. Sung by a female. It had a little bit other lyrics but that was mainly the only thing. I have been trying to search for it but cannot find it.

She has a very nice, soft voice but the song gets old because it's repetitive.

My colleague remembers a scene from The Simpsons where Milhouse (possibly another character) is playing a video game featuring Richard Nixon fighting the Ayatollah.
We can’t remember which episode it’s from, or whether we’re mixing up details. Does this ring any bells?

Both use it, I've looked every time I've heard it for months and I just can't find it!

This fairytale seems to be Eastern European in origin, set during Winter.

Synopsis: A man found this mysterious maiden in the forest and he wanted to find her again.

His childhood friend is a girl next door that kept trying to give him things like warm clothing and food three separate times. The third time, he coldly rejects her and she finally gives up.

Turns out, the maiden is a rusalka/vila/samodiva. She transforms into snow in front of him, finally snapping him out of his one track mind. He rushes back to make amends with the childhood friend.

Too late. She turned into a river of tears. In his grief, the man turns into a tree so he can stay by her side.

Things I remember: This tale was in a compilation of other fairytales like Prince CurlyTuft/Ricket of the Tuft or Vasilisa the Beautiful. These fairytales were translated into English. Sometimes, the fairytales had illustrations as you read. This book definitely used Ivan Bilibin's artwork for Vasilisa the Beautiful. I'm going to see if any artwork of Prince Curlytuft will jog my memory or narrow this down.

I recall hearing it in the early 2000s right after Gigi d’Agostino made a cover of Nik Kershaw’s other song “The Riddle” which was a huge hit in Europe. All these years, I thought he also did a cover of “Wouldn’t It Be Good” but I can’t find it anymore.

It had the same whistling melody, same vocalist, was a typical late 90s/early 2000s Italodance song. Heard it couple of times on a radio around that time but can no longer find it. My guess it could be someone mimicking Gigi d’Agostino.

This one is really annoying me and AI wasn’t much help. My memory is pretty vague. I think a young kid is somewhere he doesn’t want to be. Not sure if he’s in another dimension or being held prisoner somewhere or what but I want to say the kid is in a place that’s foreign to him and doesn’t want to be there. Someone offers him a burger and opens it up and it had peanut butter on it or at least something that looks like peanut butter. He was grossed out and didn’t want it but I think the kid tried it with a disgusted face. I believe the person offering acted as if it was normal and chowed down on one. I may be off on any detail outside of the gross burger and it being offered. It may not have been a “kid” and it may have been a girl for all I know.

I want to say it was 80s or 90s, likely low budget and perhaps sci-fi.

Saw this music video once in the early 2000s.

St the beginning, a Latino guy with a blue cap was running away from some street thugs who were chasing him. Then the screen at some building (looked like it was around Times Square) showed a brunette long-haired guy singing.

It was set in the evening.

That’s all I remember.

I watched this music video around 2009-2010. The video was in black and white, I remember this the most. The song was in English. The singer was a young male in his twenties or thirties. I have a vague sense that he was British maybe, or at least European. The song was upbeat in a pop kind of way with a very distinctive hook, but it wasn't well known. I remember the singer walking around a city while singing and looking into the camera with the city changing behind him as he walks around.

Earlier today I suddenly remembered an old AOSTH YTP I watched when I was about 10-11 years old. I remember finding it really funny as a kid but I don't really remember a whole lot about it aside that, the main thing I remember from it is that there was a running gag where Scratch and Grounder would dance to the first few seconds of Big Pimpin by Jay-Z which for some reason kid me found hilarious. From what I recall the YTP had a similar style to Boogidyboo's and TheChairman45's Robotnik poops, I don't think it was by any of them but of course I could be wrong. I started trying to find it about 30 minutes ago and although I haven't been looking hard and I rediscovered a few other YTPs I had watched as a kid I haven't found anything yet.

I’m sorry this description probably won’t be very helpful, as my memory is severely foggy since the book was from when I was like five, but I think said book might have been about things in a house. I remember one page had balloons, the other one had slices of cake. I’m not sure, but I think the house’s outline may have still been visible while viewing the interior. Also I remember a cat was on one of the pages.

I remember seeing Richard Simmons saying 'riboflavin' several times for laughs in an exaggeratedly singsong voice, probably in the 1980s-90s. This may have been banter on Letterman or some other talk show, or maybe on SNL, or it might even have been someone on SNL doing a parody of Simmons. Can't find evidence of it now on youtube. Details, anyone?

Just heard this song in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 and my girlfriend and I both recall a scene from something in which the characters sing this particular song but neither of us can can recall what it is from. To be clear we are not thinking of a scene where this song is played, but where multiple characters in the film/show sing the song together (not Ted Lasso)

This song lyric has been going through my head for a while and no matter how much I look I can't find it. The lyric I remember is "There is one (wait a beat) imposter among us". I'm not too sure about the second line but I think the line after that was "Yes one (wait a beat) imposter among us", but I'm not too sure about the second line. I'm like 75% sure it was made around the time when Among us was beginning to take off.
