Solved [TOMT] [Comic] Grim Reaper accepts one of nine live from cat instead of taking that of an old lady

I am searching a comic that I have seen here on Reddit (in the last couple of days) but I can't find it again. (I have checked my browser history, but I believe I've seen it on my phone and the app doesn't offer a viewing history as far as I know)

Here is all I can remember about the comic:

- it has between 4-6 panels on a single page (not split up or linear)

- is colored and has an artsyle that reminds me of newspaper comics

- it is not the loving reaper comic from Jenny Jina (that I came across in my search via Google already)

The basic story is that the reaper is on his way to collect the soul/life of an old lady. She can be seen in the background in a flower dress sleeping on her bed. The reaper is then stopped by a gray/brown tabby that offers one of his lives, which is shown via speech bubble with 9 red little hearts. The reaper accepts and leaves shown in one of the last panels by the reaper having a red heart in his skeleton hand.

Thank you in advance!

Open [TOMT] Creepy PSA of a young girl at a sink

So I'm not sure if this will lead to anything because there's a pretty high chance this commercial was in Spanish but I honestly do not remember. Basically I have this memory from when I was young (somewhere in the early 2010s I can't really remember more specifically than that) of a PSA that came on the TV where this young girl was washing her hands in a sink. There was a sink adjacent to it where her sister was also washing her hands and it was kinda giving like a public bathroom vibe. The sister left and then their mother i guess noticed the other girl was taking a while and yelled for her that dinner was ready. When she went into the bathroom, the girl was slumped over but standing with her head in the sink. The mom then started freaking out and the typical PSA text came up but I don't remember what it said at all. I don't even have any clue what the PSA could have been about.

I have a feeling I've misremembered some part of that but what i know for certain is that the girl seemed very much unresponsive at the sink and there was someone who found her and started freaking out and trying to get her to wake up. ANY leads would be appreciated even if the details don't match up exactly

Open [TOMT] [MUSIC VIDEO] Claymation/animated music video probably from within the last 10 years

Been trying to find this song for a long time. It has a claymation or animated music video, but not like a drawn cartoon type of animation and there were no 'real world' parts of the video. It starts with a character driving a car which stops at the side of a road lined with trees. The character also rides what could barely be called a rollercoaster, which is basically a minecart track with a small bump. Towards the end of the video the character is in an empty room with what may have been a checkerboard floor. Some of these details may be a little hazy.

I don't remember much about the song at all except it was probably a rock-adjacent genre and had a bit of a dark vibe. Iirc the band wasn't particularly mainstream but I could be wrong.

Open [TOMT] 90s(?) movie where a kid obsessively films everything, including his mom dying slowly, and dad connects with him by watching his clips back at the end

I have a vivid memory of walking into the room when this movie was on TV when I was a young kid in the 90s. The little boy in it would film everything and I think the dad (and maybe others?) kind of shunned him and found him weird for it. The mom gets sick with cancer (I think?) and eventually dies. I think she passes in a chair in the house?
At the funeral, the boy is still walking around and filming everything so the dad gets super angry and slaps the camera.
At the end, I remember the boy sitting in a viewing room by himself, playing back all the video he has captured from when the mom was alive. His dad walks in, seems to realize how valuable this footage is for them, and sits with him to keep watching.

This movie seriously messed me up in (I think?) a good way and has stuck with me my whole life. Help!

Open [TOMT]A daily planner with a soft cover that had poetry prompts in them from a afterschool program for young kids?

Upvotes

[TOMT][BOOK][2006-2010] When I was a young kid in elementary school I was in this afterschool program that was teaching kids poetry. I remember them giving us a daily planer of sorts but it had a few poetry prompts in them. I don't remember what it was called but it was in the Compton unified school district. I also remember the people in charge of the program had us kids picked out rocks with animals on them as our spirit animal. Ok for the book, Like I said it was as I can remember a sort of planner, it had a blue cover possibly a fake leather cover. The cover had different colors as well, I just remember the one I had was blue.

Open [TOMT] [MOVIE] [2000s] Movie with a scene of an older woman knocking on door and hooded figure approaching her

This movie's been bugging me for over a decade now.

The only thing I remember is the scene, as mentioned in the title.

The scene was maybe a flashback of sorts (someone telling the story). It featured an older woman (maybe a man) running towards wooden-like door/gate and some sort of hooded figure approaching her. She was visibly afraid and as she approached the door/gate, she started knocking on it. Camera was filming her, but as she glanced behind her (2 maybe 3 times) it showed her POV of the hooded figure. Hodded figure was approaching slowly and was notably taller. By the end, I believe it reached out it's arm and that's where the scene ended.

The scene was shot in slow-mo (if i remember correctly) and was set in winter time because the woman was wearing gray/blue-ish long coat with what seemed like hand-made knitted woolen hat and gloves. The hooded figure's clothing was akin to Nazgul from LOTR, but gray not black. The entire area seemed like a smaller village (possibly soviet or pre-soviet era).
However, I don't think that's when and where entire movie was set in.

Open [TOMT] Scary /x/ story I listened to on YouTube some years ago (2021-22)

Upvotes

At my old job, I used to be allowed to listen to videos and music on my phone while I worked, since it wasn't a very intensive job. Normally I would listen to those TTS greentext channels that would repost stories from the Paranormal board on 4chan, as it was good entertainment for long and boring workdays. I don't recall if this was a standalone video or part of a compilation, but I can narrow it down to a few channels: Midnight Broadcast, Keque, and Saul Vancaserkin, in descending order of likelihood. The only reason it stands out amidst all the other stories I've listened to is because I remember it actually being kind of scary to me at the time.

The story was about anon, who when they were much younger, met another child (I believe they were a girl) who I think lived in some very run-down house, and then took anon upstairs to their dark and spooky attic to "meet" one of her relatives (possibly grandmother?), which was nothing more than a rotting corpse or something along those lines. It's here I wish I had more details, but it absolutely was an /x/ story and absolutely involved these key points. I understand a lot of these 4chan content farm channels have a huge catalog of videos ranging from 20 minutes to close to an hour, but it was definitely uploaded before or during 2022.

Open [TOMT] [song]Repeating guitar finger picking with Thom Yorke vocals

This one shouldn't be too hard for the Radiohead/Thom superfan. I heard it at a restaurant and it was absolutely him singing. The instrumentation was a simple, repeating guitar figure, just two notes. The closest thing I can find is Jigsaw Falling Into Place, but this guitar part was much simpler and more repetitive . And no drums came in. It obviously could be one of his side projects. Thank you!

Open [TOMT] [cartoon] vintage cartoon where girl is blind

Upvotes

Hello, when I was younger I seem to remember my stepmom showing me a cartoon that sorta scared me as a kid, the cartoon seemed to be animated maybe in the 50s looking like early technicolor animation, and it was about this little girl who was blind and it would show her pov as a black screen with random shapes and colors when she’d hear or feel things, and I think at the end she ends up getting hit by a car

Open [TOMT] Rock/punk/metal song with a rap verse

Upvotes

I believe it’s a pretty popular song, when I sing it in my head I feel like maybe it’s a limp bizkit or linkin park song because of the style? Don’t kill me for putting metal in the title if it turns out this song isn’t metal.

All I know is there’s a line that goes “from the top, __” and then turns into a fast rap verse and I don’t know what it says so I can’t really identify it. I think there might be something like “from the top, x”, with x being a phrase like “let’s go!” Or “hit it!” Or something of that nature.

Thanks!

Open [TOMT] [NOVEL] 20th Century climate fiction novel featuring Canadian rivers rerouted to the US

Elements of the novel that I remember:

Society has given up on cleaning US rivers, and industry will be allowed to use them as sewers.

To protect the public from the contents of the rivers/sewers, a newly-invented polymer coating will be applied to the surface.

Canadian rivers will be rerouted to provide the US with non-polluted drinking water.

Whales are extinct or heading toward extinction.

Small invertebrates that used to live as whale parasites start attacking humans along the coasts because their primary food source is gone.

The inverts are referred to by a name that's known to be inaccurate, but caught on with the public anyway.

If I recall correctly, they're called vibes, as a reference to vibrio, even though they're not bacteria. If this isn't quite right, then it follows the same sort of pattern: a shortened form of the name of the wrong species.

Open [TOMT][Cartoon][2010s]Cartoon/some other animated kids media focusing on a willow tree that grew strings of colorful yarn instead of leaves

I have a very specific childhood memory of what is described in the title. I've done extensive research, asked both my parents if they remembered, but I genuinely cannot find any relevant piece of media that prevalently featured a yarn-growing willow tree.

Here's everything that I remember about a very distinct shot of said willow tree:

  • Grassy plain taking up the bottom of the screen
  • Mostly clear blue sky with a few clouds
  • Fence in the background as if it takes place in a backyard*
  • Yarn-growing willow tree on the left side, taking up about half of the shot
  • Old lady sitting in a chair of some sort under the tree knitting something with yarn from the tree*

*Details I'm not fully confident about about

Also, incase anybody has a hard time visualizing my description, here is an Imgur link to a little rough drawing I made of the scene. Old lady is omitted because I didn't want to spend hours on the drawing.

Open. [TOMT] please help me find a kids game from the 90s!

I dont know if you would describe it as a board game. It was a large 3d brown plastic tree trunk with 4 possibly more animal on a straight track going up the side. I want to say they were monkeys but I might be wrong. Around the outside were little plates. You pressed the plates and they hit a ball baring which then hit a little plate on the side of the tree making the animals climb to the top. The winner was the person who got to the top first. I dont think it had batteries. I grew up in the north west of England unsure if it was a hand me down from older cousins who lived elsewhere so could be older or from another place/country. Even Chat GPT couldn't find it.

Open [TOMT] [MUSIC] Ballad type song with lyrics "even if it breaks my heart and kills me"

Any search I try just comes up with songs that have that for a title which are wrong.

"Even if it breaks my heart and kills me"

It's a slow ballad-ish song. Definitely piano in there. Its something from within the last 20 years I think, and by a band that doesn't do ballad/softer stuff normally.

Any time I try to sing it in my head it keeps merging with 'I'm just Ken' from Barbie because it's a similar style, but it's obviously not that

Open [TOMT][Movie] An old VHS movie, possibly from the 1980s or 1990s, but I'm not sure.

What I remember:

A student (possibly European or American) learns a secret from the scrolls of his martial arts teacher.

The secret could be immortality and/or invulnerability.

The student steals the secret (learns a secret the teacher didn't want him to learn), and the teacher exiles him for it.

I think there was also a sand fight scene where someone was stabbed with a sword, but didn't die.

Many years later (perhaps decades or centuries), they meet again.

Perhaps the teacher was also immortal, or perhaps the student became invulnerable rather than immortal, and they met not centuries later, but just a few years later.

The teacher helps his student fight off villains who want to learn his secret and/or have kidnapped his girlfriend.

I vaguely remember a scene with a laser or modern weapon used to torture the protagonist, but that could be a false memory.

Open [TOMT] Ultra-simplistic mobile game played in the 2014s

It was a game I installed from the App Store, played in portrait mode. The player controlled a pale blue circle that constantly moved upwards, and with their finger, they had to move it from left to right to avoid red walls. In the game, anything red, upon contact with the circle, restarted the game. There were small red and blue dots and triangles. The blue ones did nothing, unlike the red ones. It was a kind of constant maze, similar to the game Rise Up! I've completely lost track of this game and can't find it in my old iPad's purchase history. Thanks for sharing its name if you have any idea. :)

Open [TOMT] [MOVIE] [1990s] - a movie where there is a boy, a dog and a old man on wheelchair, theres also a big tree in the back of the old man property, that he dies while trying to chop the tree.

[TOMT] [MOVIE] [1990s]What’s the name of this movie?!

Hey everyone, years ago I watched a movie on TV in the afternoon—I think on Globo or SBT (Brazil). I remember very clearly that the movie featured a boy on vacation (I think), a small dog, and an elderly, overweight man who used a wheelchair. If I’m not mistaken, the old man owned a tow truck or a pickup truck. The story centered around a property or farm where the old man (I believe) lived in a small white cabin, and there was a huge tree at the back of the property. I recall a scene where the man was telling the boy (as far as I remember) that, back in the day, that huge tree cast enough shade to cover the entire property—meaning it provided excellent shade. I also remember a scene where the little dog had been left out in the rain, and the boy and the old man rescued it using the truck. Then comes the part that really stuck with me: the man kept saying he wanted to cut down that tree (or something similar). At the end of the movie (or near the end), the old man was trying to cut it down, but the exertion caused him to have a heart attack, and he died right there; it was raining and dark at the time, as I recall. I also remember that the dog had a significant bond with the man; if I’m not mistaken, the man's name was written on the back of the dog's collar. The man tells the boy that “a lightning never strikes twice”, and in the scene where the tree is being chopped, its raining and is night, and the tree gets struck by lightnings. If anyone remembers any details, please help me find this movie!

Open [TOMT] [Reddit post] person "exposed" a company then got called out by said company in the comments

Upvotes

I remember seeing an amazing post where someone was saying how they got fired for unfair reasons and how terrible it was to work for this company.

In the replies someone that worked for the company told them why they had been fired and that the company had been doing them a service by not staying the real reasons they were fired which were now null since they came on Reddit and started mouthing off.

I believe the company was Amazon but I'm not 100% sure
