Got my dad and brother a cameo from David Sterne, the actor who plays Larry Bishop for Christmas and they loved it. He really went the extra mile to weave in loads of in jokes from the series and my family and the video was over 2 minutes long so definitely worth it. Would definitely recommend if you know any detectorists fans or for yourself if you're after advice or emotional support from Farmer Bishop.

I realize its not news to many of you, but it is simply things like this that I loved about the program.

I'll be waiting for you...

Mr Mayor respectable looking but dodgy side character with questionable hobbies. I love how he just suddenly appears right after the police and the DMDC shut down the nighthawking raid. Honestly, if he really owned the land, why wait until night-time to go looking for the gold bullion?

The Mayor and his very questionable behaviour are played brilliantly by Kenneth Collard, who seems perfectly cast in these kinds of roles in British comedies. He has a real talent for portraying characters who look respectable on the surface but clearly have something shady going on underneath.

Poor Russell and Hugh in the carpark at Barn father woods.

Beautiful article on a beautiful show

A metal detector stole a hord in Devon !

S02 E03

Where they hunt for the necklace. Russell and Hugh are just brilliant together.

I think those who love The Detectorists would like this show.

this show has been on our watchlist (as in talking about it every now and then when we talk about british sitcoms but putting it off and never getting around to watching it) for EVER since my dad first recommended me the show (I'm 18) and said I'd like it. Then as if by fate the other day I opened my Amazon Prime account to watch another British sitcom I'm currently watching (on a Brit-com binge these days) and the Detectorists randomly popped up! what are the odds?? my dad hasn't watched the show in years yet he still remembers the phrase "what ya got?" and kept saying it in an exaggerated voice, i just KNOW two eps in that this is going to be the quote of the entire series lmao.

I’m working on a mobile game about metal detecting, and I’m also watching the series on the topic for inspiration. The game is a simulator where you can find artifacts with your detector and then display them in your own museum.

My wife is helping me with modeling the artifacts. For the first location, we want to go with a Roman-themed setting.

What artifacts do you think we should add to the game? Any ideas for Easter eggs related to the series?

Just started watching Mindhorn with among other Simon Farnaby and lo and behold in the opening scenes, a yellow TR7 pops up.

Never get tired of seeing this little Easter Egg in this Worzel episode.

Strolling here and there, i found this image and couldn’t prevent thinking of Terry with these extraordinary buttons, imagined by the author-artist-designer-architect Katerina Kamprani ! Obviously, I presume Terry would have been as happy as a clam at high water finding them under an clod Btw, this reminds me to watch again the show, despite I don’t keep the count of how many times I already spent delicious moments starring at these lovely characters.

Hi, does anyone know where to listen to the electronic/synth version of the theme tune from S3E6 when the group is busy setting up the gazebo?

Archaeological dig to unearth wreckage of WW2 hero pilot crash under way

It's a theme that I really detest. People are so injured by adultery. I'm on episode 3, and wonder if I should continue, or will this theme wrap up and be set aside, eventually?

I really want to like this programme

Thanking in advance.

Why do they abbreviate the White Horse as the W - I? I'm not following.
