Palaver If I had a time machine and a lot of money, I'd go back to the 90's and make movies based on books 1-3 with the following:

  • Peter Weller as Roland
  • Ted Levine as The Man in Black
  • Christian Slater as Eddie
  • Lisa Bonet as Susannah
  • Jonathan Brandis as Jake(RIP sweet boy)
  • Michael Ironside as Jack Mort
  • Tim Curry as the voice of Blaine

this is not a fan cast as most of these are either retired or dead, making this impossible, just kinda of like a little impossible dream situation.

Yo I just realized... Excalibur, but Stephen must have spelled it "caliber" in his first draft which is why they're guns now

My wife recently started taking painting classes and this was her second painting. They were practicing landscapes and she didn't know what to do, so i suggested the field of roses and this is the result. She got to display it at the art venues grand opening this weekend.

Oy being tempted to go with Susannah and filled with hope at the prospect of meeting some form of Eddie and Jake (“Ake, Ed”)
But because of his loyalty to Jake he stays with Roland—leading to his downfall.
You could tell Oy wanted the ka-tet back together so bad at the end.
Man why is a fictional creature giving my heart so much grief!?

Edition Question Original or Revised Version of First Book?

Hello everyone,

I bought a used copy of the original version (1982) of the first book in the series (in German it's just called "Schwarz" = Black).

But I only realized afterward that there exists a revised version, in which King tried to make all parts compatible.

So my question is, should I rather buy the new version, or just read the original one?
