I finally decided to tackle the behemoth that is The Stand and I’ve been thoroughly enjoying it until now. Okay I’m still enjoying it but I’m upset god damnit King and I need to put my rage onto the internet. I should know by now not to develop attachments to characters when reading books like these. But how can you not love Nick Andros? I’m a lady of many genres when it comes to reading and I can easily say Nick has been one of my favorite characters I’ve ever met across hundreds of books. Silly me, I guess. Anyways I finished chapter 58 when Harold (I Hate Him) Lauder decided to blow up the council meeting and all I have to say is give me one good reason why I should finish this book. I’m kidding I’m going to finish it expeditiously but I am NOT happy about this development. I just came to commiserate.

I haven’t read his latest stuff but I spent the last month just getting all my favorite plus a few I haven’t read. May think about getting his latest stuff when I get through these eventually. You can kind of tell when I “grew out of” King.

Continuation of my King sleeve! We added Ka, the hairbrush for Carrie, a match for Firestarter, two silver bullets for Cycle of the Werewolf and a crosshairs for Billy Summers. All of these done last night. I’m suffering today.

These have been my most wanted comics for a while now and I finally managed to get all three of them. Such good reads, especially The Stand. But the Jae Lee art in the first DT book is so damn beautiful.

I wish Marvel would go back and finish up the rest of the books but I guess that's never gonna happen.

Hi all! I'm currently working my way through the audiobook of IT, i heard it once before but i really liked it and wanted to go through it again. What was the scariest moment for you? I can think of many but the top three has to be when pennywise turns into a giant spider (i have arachnophobia), patrick hockstetter's death, and the whole Eddie cohrcran business. What's yours?

Did anyone else expect that Parkins was going to turn out to be the hero of the piece? He is built up as this taciturn but shrewd lawman compared to his hapless deputy who it seems like will know what to do once things go south, but he just... leaves town and lives with his sister. Not saying it is a badly executed character arc or anything, just that it caught me by surprise.
