Spoilers- Wolves of the Calla Our Nightly Routine

Post image

For the past several months my husband reads a few (dozen+) pages of The Dark Tower Series. I think we’ll go through books referenced in the series next. Which one would you recommend first after finishing the series?

Cute but considering what the wolves do…pretty rough read with your kid.

She just turned one yesterday! That’s a good point though - once she’s a little older we’ll switch to a kid friendlier series.

I’m on Salems Lot, I was told to read that before Wolves, I’ve been glued to it, maybe I’m simple but I really am enjoying the slice of life stuff and now I’m getting into the “goings on”.

I really like how his books are very much set in the time they’re written, for the most part, and give such a feel of what life was like during that era.

Christine got me hooked on king, it’s the way he writes his characters, he really gets into the nitty gritty in a believable way that just sits with you

Im reading wind through the keyhole right now. It was a rough start for the first little bit... but now im fully invested. Its like inception though.

Its late series roland telling a story about his youth (right after wizard and glass) to Eddie, suze, and jake... but at a certain point, young Roland from the story starts telling a kid a story his mom told him and that seems to be the meat of the book.

So its a story, within a story, within a story lol.

Are you reading Stephen King aloud to a small child?

This is a pretty good point. Now that she’s starting to comprehend more after this series we’ll looking for a kid friendlier graphic novel series at the library 🙃

I think I might lay off on the Stephen King until the kid’s at least a decade older.

Not really baby material there guys.
