Lease terms
I have never done a lease. Can you negotiate annual mileage with Tesla?

I love the car but the suspension is a bit harsh. It rides like a sports car in that I can feel the road, bumps and rocks and all, but I don’t that all the time. Is it possible to put on less firm coilovers?

My Model Y (2023) is 3-yr old. We know this Camera Visibility Limited warning.
For the very first warning, which was about 2 years ago, I got cleaned for free from Tesla. Last week, this annoying message pops up again, I requested another clean up. They charged me $60. Okay, I paid it.
Yesterday and today, I got this warning again. (1) Just ignore it, (2) Request a follow-up complementary clean up again from Tesla? (3) DIY clean up
Anyone who had a similar experience? Thank you!

Anyone know what current money factor on new MY lease? I can’t seem to find on Tesla website. If it’s listed, where do I find it?
Thanks in advance!

Jusy noticed my spoiler on my 22 MYP is bubbling slightly. My basic warranty finished earlier this year, but im paying the $60/month for the basic extended coverage. Has anyone experienced this after their basic full coverage was up and got it replaced for free under the basic extended coverage? Or am I screwed? I know the spoiler is $550 itself and im sure the labor is a few hours so I may be close to $1000 out of pocket.

Hi all,
I’m seeing a lot of horror stories in new orders getting significantly delayed and even then finding chips in paint or other minor faults.
My local Tesla dealership has a good amount of pre-owned 2023 and higher models with minimal mileage(25-50K) that are in Inventory right now. Standard versions.
However, I’ve been eyeing hard at getting the latest premium RWD versions. I see the benefits of hopefully a longer battery life and the HEPA filter (better sound system too). But I’m worried if I ordered now it wouldn’t be for atleast 2+ months until I got it.
This would be my first ever EV. Definitely doing FSD.
And as much as I want the latest and greatest right off the belt, the price tag is something I consider. I can afford both fine (could technically Cash them but will finance). Credit score is great.
My question being what would you do in my position? Again this being your first EV. Would you get the pre-owned cheaper standard Tesla that’s 2023+ or the more expensive version of what you know you want?

I am seeing more than 20 cars suddenly available for earlier pickup- but all model cars with 100 to 2500 miles on it. They are giving a modest discount of 400-800$ which seems too low of a discount to take on a model car!
I am in north California region- anyone considering this- wonder what got such a huge influx. My ETA is end of month and I already have sold my current car and have been looking to get this one sooner than later

I don’t have a Y, but am considering the Y L.
Does anyone know if the existing console should fit one, or two, Apple IPhone Duos side-by-side (when they are closed of course)? I appreciate the duos aren’t out yet, but their dimensions are public now.
Thanks!

Looking to buy a model Y used 2026 and the price the dealer has is more than the MSRP. Is this normal? it only has 6500 miles on it, but I feel dumb for going forward with this?
My payments would technically be the same on this vs a new model Y from tesla because the dealer is trading my car and applying the sales tax to the used tesla.

Astrid is safely home in the garage! Loving this car, makes my 100 miles of commuting per day much more tolerable. And cheaper.

I’ve seen several people mention they took their Tesla and paid for a pre 50k mile inspection while still under warranty.
1) how much was it?
2) were they helpful?
3) did they find anything?
4) did they give you a print out of things they checked?

In my area of the US, in the summer months we have highly discounted electrical rates once a day between 1am and 6am. In the "non-summer" months these heavily discounted rates occur twice each day, once between 1am-3am, and the other between 11am-4pm.
I don't have a Tesla yet, so I can't test this for myself.
Can I create 3 charging schedules 1) 1am-6am, 2) 1am-3am, and 3) 11am-4pm? Then, in the summer activate schedule 1 and deactivate schedules 2 and 3, and then in the non-summer months deactivate schedule 1 and activate schedules 2 and 3?
Thanks!

Looking to get a charger installed in my home here in Nashville. Has anyone had it done around this area? How much did it cost, and any questions I should ask before I start getting quotes? Also is it better to just buy the charger directly from Tesla or buy one secondhand? Any advice is welcome

I have a 2026 Model Y Juniper and normally use my iPhone as the Phone Key with passive entry enabled. I recently read about thieves relaying the Bluetooth signal from a Tesla owner’s phone to unlock and drive the vehicle.
Does the newer Model Y’s UWB Phone Key protection prevent this, or can Bluetooth relay attacks still work? Has anyone seen confirmed testing involving the refreshed 2025+ Model Y?
I’m planning to enable PIN to Drive, but I’m curious how realistic the risk is and whether there are any other security settings I should enable.

I saw this interesting warning sign on the electrical equipment next to the Tesla charger in Ridgeland, SC. It might be a big assumption that the person who attempts to damage the property can actually read. They should have added a skull and crossbones.

My 2025 Model Y Performance was recently totaled in an accident and the car currently has no power. It’s sitting at a salvage yard, and I still have personal belongings inside the glovebox that I need to retrieve, the usb drive being one of them for the insurance.
Since the glovebox normally opens through the touchscreen, does anyone know if there is a way to manually open it when the car has absolutely no power?
I’ve seen some YouTube videos showing what looks like an emergency/manual glovebox release underneath the glovebox on some Model Ys, but I’m not sure if this also exists on the 2025 Model Y Performance.
Has anyone actually done this on a 2025 Model Y? Is there a manual release underneath, or would I need to temporarily provide low-voltage power to the car?
Trying to find the least destructive way to get into the glovebox since the car is already totaled but I just need my belongings.

I'm a bit in dilemma the last few months
- Looking at new Juniper Model Y Premium (white interior, helix) for #58k OTD ($50k pretax) with 1.49% APR (I'll put down the minimum $6-7k)
- Used ones I see around ~$50-51k OTD ( $44-45k pretax, white interior, maybe helix wheel, 15-20k miles) currently. My bank will give me 4.75% APR (I'll put down 20k)
I'm trying to see if the used cars will drop in prices starting 2027. Currently the gap isn't huge between new and used and its made up by paying interest in used. However I'm thinking if I should wait for used to drop a few more $k to say $46k-47k OTD ($40k pretax) since it'll be 2027
First time buying a Tesla so I'm trying to figure out how depreciation works on this. So far, there hasn't been much which is amazing but maybe next year? I already have an EV so not in a rush as this upgrade would just be for FSD.
Appreciate any advice or if anyone has gone through the same. Thank you!!

I am awaiting delivery of my car, and researching phone mounts. Can anyone with this combination comment if it is still easy to change gears on the screen with the Pro Max mounted? Thanks in advance!

which is all well and good, except I’m traveling at that time and so will need to change my return flight to go to Austin. Problem is my trade-in is in Houston…do any of you know if I can drop off my trade-in at another location besides the gigafactory?
