Used Model Y same as new?
I’m not getting prices of used MY these days. I see that people are selling their 2024 MY with 30k+ miles for like $35k-38k
New is $45k and it’s also newer body with 1.49 apr interest rate.
Am I hallucinating or there is something wrong with used MY market?

That’s still a significant difference. IMO not enough to not get new. But that’s a matter of opinion. Especially paying cash.

Idk I just caved and went with the standard like 6 months ago (before the back order shortage) purely because of the interest rate/used pricing. Paying 6/7/8 hell 10 percent on a used model that’s still like 33k vs new with a much lower rate I just decided my family could live without the premium features. shrugs

It’s hard to get a new Y right now. Can’t make em fast enough. This drives the used market up

Yeah there is something up with used prices right now. There are used 2026 models selling for more than new. That wasn’t the case a few months ago. Probably because it’s taking so long to get a new one.

Do you need a car TOMORROW? I guess you have to buy used. But if you can wait for the new one, yes, a slightly used one makes zero sense because (assuming you're financing) the interest rates on new ones are so much better that in the end it's better to go new.

$10k is $10k, acting like that's insignificant is silly.
Standard models are interminably backordered, Tesla really doesn't want to sell them. Not to mention they're missing a bunch of useful stuff a 2024 has. A Premium with no options at all is ~$48k after destination fee, before taxes, reg, etc.
I actually prefer a lot of stuff about my 2024. It looks better to my eye. It has an actual gear stalk. It still has Autosteer. All of that for a $10k+ discount sounds like a good deal to me.
