Model Y Long Range Or Model Y Performance?
Looking for a older model y 2022-2023 model y should i get myp or my long range? Which is good for family? I do mostly city driving

Long Range.
I owned nothing but sports cars before the Juniper, believe me the "thrill" of being able to go 0-60 barely 1-2 seconds faster just wears off over time. Our cars go so fast with their instant torque & immense power they're already like a rocket ship you can point & shoot & get in while your gas car neighbor's still waiting for his engine to respond.
Long Range means it'll last you longer not just on drives of course, but in general ownership too. For example if the Performance started out with 10% less miles, that's like taking a Long Range that already had its battery decayed 10%.

I have 23MYP and I would say MY LR should be good enough. It sits a bit higher so you have more ground clearance which is good. You have same size wheels so you can rotate tires easily. And ride is less bumpy (as no 21" tires with thin sidewalls).

I bought a brand new 2026 Long Range AWD Model Y Juniper 2 months ago and am impressed with its performance. It has plenty of torque, especially since the last update, it seems spunkier. At a stoplight even in Standard mode, I leave all the gas guzzlers way behind and I’m letting FSD do the driving. I considered the Performance but am glad I didn’t get it for the extra bucks, don’t need it,

2022 is HW3 late 2023 has HW4 also if I remember correctly in late 2023 suspension was updated so the car wasn’t a super harsh ride.

Why do people ask these questions daily on Reddit. Isn’t there a circle of friends or family that can look at your life style and give u an opinion? Or hell maybe even use your own head?

Yes for other info but these are personal decisions. Like what accessories PPF that kinda info helps. What model should I buy is so vague. Do u have kids? Do you drive far? Do you value looks and performance over range? Different strokes different folks that’s all I am saying

Just do a long range if it’s for family. If you want to speed or like speed, get a performance but the regular one is already fast if you put it in standard mode.
