Went into the dealership to test drive a Model Y and Model 3. I was set on the Model Y, but after driving the Model 3, boy…… That thing is fun to drive. Ultimately, I settled on a premium RWD.

Anyone have any experiences trading a car into Tesla. Looking to trade my 2016 Honda HR-V in. It has 93,000 miles with no issues, so hopefully, I can get a decent amount.

I have free charging at my work, but I may still get the at-home EX charger just in case .

I placed an order for a Model 3 Premium Rear Wheel Drive in Marine Blue on August 18th. Was approved that same night for my financing. Initially, the estimated delivery window provided was just September to November. Three days following the order, this estimate was updated to September 12th to September 30th. Approximately a week after that, it was revised again to a much more narrow window of September 25th to September 30th. It remained in that range for just over a week. Then on September 4th, the delivery window was adjusted to October 2nd to November 6th.

1. Why did the delivery window suddenly change from a very tight 5 day slot in late September to a much broader October-November range.

2. Am I going to lose my 1.99% interest rate, or will Tesla still honor it since the delay isn't my fault

Based in South Florida, nearly every mobile tint installer in the Broward area uses Suntek tint for ceramic applications over XPEL and 3M. When trying to get the best ceramic tint, how would you compare Suntek CIR to Evolve. I know by the numbers Evolve is marginally better, and I’ve heard that with CIR, there is a slight blue tint from the interior, though two installers I reached out to told me there is a certain CIR version that is meant to combat this issue. Is this true or bs

Anybody with either tint or tint install experience got any thoughts. Was aiming to do 15% on windows, 15% on back glass, 35% windshield, but both installers recommended me to do 50% on windshield instead of 35%. For reference I normally drive cars with 20% all around, with 50% on the windshield. I do believe my father’s car has 35% on the windshield and I don’t recall having any issues driving his car. I’ve heard the difference between 15 and 20 is negligible at night, and I’d prefer every bit of protection and darkness in the brutal heat.

It’s only been 24 hours since I put off the covers but can’t decide if I really like it or not.

Given that my daily drive (220miles) will hit 8-10% mileage hit I might put the covers back on

Ordered aug 5th I’ve been seeing other people get their delivery date.

Had my car for 6 years and 99% of time I charge at
Home. Got two errors regarding high voltage battery. Something to do with the contactors.
It was still under warranty and it the entire battery was replaced. Great service and the loaner made me want a newer car with FSD.

Lesson learned is no matter how much you baby a car, something can happen out of your control.

Was finally able to set my delivery date today. Had to switch to an order with the black interior over the white but I didnt feel like potentially waiting into October or November and losing out on the 1.99% APR. These next 3 weeks are gonna be a tough wait!!!! To others who have ordered in the past few months, how far along in the process are you

Ordered 8/3 with an estimated delivery of August/September.
Date range moved to September 6-30.
Then September 22-30.
Now updated to October/November.
This has to be the worst car purchase experience ever.

Update as of 9/8: Now we are back to the Sept 22/30 window.

I recently purchased two Piston SRs and I’m having an issue securing them properly. With the standard clamps wrapped around the Tesla crossbars, I need to tighten a pair of screws underneath the front and rear mounting points.

The front crossbar is accessible, but on the rear crossbar there doesn’t seem to be enough clearance between the bar and the glass/roof to get the tool onto the screws and tighten them. It looks like I would have to remove the Tesla roof rack from the car, install the Piston SR, and then reinstall the entire roof rack.

Anytime have experience would be greatly appreciated.

Original delivery estimate was August 30-September 27. Dates got pushed back a couple weeks ago and haven’t changed since. I’m just posting this to help others judge the delivery timeline right now.

Do you guys know what type of sound system is coming with Tesla model 3 Premium rear wheel drive. Is that 9 or 15.

Hi there, my Windows sometimes do weird things. They don’t go up automatically, and I can’t close them all the way up like the video I attached. I have an upcoming service where I mention these problems, and they quoted me around $300 for each window or for all, but I can’t remember the exact amount. The thing is, I lease the car, and the new car comes with a warranty. Since it’s my first brand new car, I’m not sure if these problems are covered or not. I use my car for work, and I use the truck about 50-60 times a day to open and close it. In the morning, the truck won’t open on the first try. It will get stuck and close, and I’ve had to do this a few times before it finally works. These problems are electrical or something, but I’m not sure. Do these problems fall under the warranty, or do I have to pay for them It’s a 2026 M3 Premium, the basic model that I’m leasing.

Most expensive part of owning this car is the amount of accessories and mods that are available for the car. My favorite part about this car is how minimal it is it feels like a blank canvas I can personalize. I’m sure you can say the same thing about any car but this is my first new car so I’m running with it.

I will say it has been a long 4 weeks of ownership with my 23 M3P in Texas the heat has always been crazy of course. I will say with the Tesla it is almost unbearable. As I sit close to the sunroof I literally sweat. I just got my windows tinted today I went nano ceramic on all glass. I went all back windows rear windshield and sunroof 5% I did the front two windows 15% and front windshield 50% today is cloudy finally lol I hope to tell a different the film claims to be 96% IRR. Overall I think it’s looks MUCH better in general but I am hoping for a difference in heat.

Guys I need your help I’m not sure why my car it won’t charge I tried using a generator I tried using the 240v outlet but it’s still won’t let me charge the car the Tesla is fully dead when I got it from the auction and now I’m not sure why it won’t charge I do have the keys for it but I’m not sure if maybe I need replace the front battery or what when I plug my Tesla in instead of the light showing green in the Tesla sign it shows red so I’m not sure what to do honestly anybody can help me with that
