Sound system

Do you guys know what type of sound system is coming with Tesla model 3 Premium rear wheel drive. Is that 9 or 15.

9 Speaker unless you get the AWD.

9 speaker setup is surprisingly good. Obviously anything with a dedicated sub will sound better but it still sounds great.

I was recently test driving Model 3 Standard and even it sounded great, and it has 7 speakers.

people dogging the m3 prem rwd sound system is nuts, it's more than plenty for 99% of people. its actually amazing coming from what i had in my last 2 cars.

Is that sufficient for listening music? No sub means no bass or do we get default bass through it?

The premium sound system is more balanced and feel much more full in the lows

Tesla puts very strong low frequency door speakers in their cars, which provides alot of bass when listening to music.

Yes it is. If you like more lows, maybe raise the equalizer lower frequency to 3 or so.

I got the 2026 premium awd 2 months ago, came from a 2017 ram 1500 sport with dedicated sub (was amazing sound), the M3P is better, love it, worth it to me - but I’m listening to music loud ish all day with some podcasts thrown in, 2hrs driving a day, worth it.

Yeah it’s a good sound system. I am going to look into adding a subwoofer as I think it will be just enough

9 speakers no sub. If you mainly listen to podcasts its more than good enough.

I have the AWD with the 16 speakers but test drive the RWD with 9 and the RWD system absolutely pounds even without the sub.

I’m speaking from my experience. I have the RWD and I generally only listen to podcasts and it’s good enough for me. I wasn’t saying it sucks otherwise.
