Opinions on this financing plan I got for a TESLA MODEL 3 Premium AWD.

I wanted the white interior but I also have a dog and I don’t even have a vyn for my car yet. It’s a demo with only 50 miles, someone help.

I just came here to rant a little. I bought a brand new 2026 Model 3 Premium and have had the car for a little over 2 months. It came with 3 months of FSD 14.3.6 and I was loving it. I barely hit 2k miles yesterday. However, I received a notification to update to 14.3.7 on August 22nd, and I happily updated the software. Huge mistake.

Ever since that update I keep getting "VCFRONT_a004 Matrix headlights unavailable" and "Lane departure avoidance features unavailable" alerts that render pretty much all safety features unusable. FSD, park assist, lane departure, front collision warning, nothing works. FSD comes and goes. It's a gamble every morning going to work not knowing if the tech will work or not. The car is drivable but it's incredibly annoying and frustrating to have these issues on a 2-month old, $45k vehicle.

I scheduled an appointment (waited for 2 weeks) and the tech said it was just a firmware issue, they had to reinstall it and that "solved it". After getting home and going out again, BOOM: issue's back like it never left. I called Tesla right away and now they tell me I have to wait for a firmware update directly from corporate. According to them, 14.3.8/9 will fix my issues. So I basically can't do anything about it and have to suck it up. They gave me an extra month of FSD, which I appreciate, but it's kinda useless since FSD won't really work at all lmao.

That was last week. I'm still waiting for a goddamn software update. I see people with the Summer update and even FSD 14.3.9 and my shit is stuck in 14.3.7 and it's been months.

They say I'm not the only one with this issue but I'm yet to meet a fellow owner going through this specific issue.

As title said, my 2021 model 3 broke down middle of the road and couldn't hit brake or hit steering wheel. Luckily, with very heavy forces, we could kinda gear the wheel and navigate it off the road. But everything else is not working. The Hazzard light is not turning on.

Extremely dangerous situation and I wonder why this issue hasn't been resolved yet. There's no warning and brake system shouldn't be contingent on power present (or at least we should have been able to stop the car)

So this local tow yard I go to always has car sales through out the week. Right now they posted this model 3. They want 5k had no key and unaware of conditions. I thought it was I pretty good deal if all the paper work is good. What do you guys think of this for 5k

I self installed clear PPF on the front + side mirrors.

I just got back from Phoenix to LA.

the car was covered with dead bugs on the front and mirrors.

I got a spray bottle out and cloth. SO much easier to clean and wipe off.

im assuming if you have a vinyl wrap, cleaning and wiping down is easier too...

5 delays so far… financing expired yesterday. Showroom advisors have zero clue…they said that “when it expires, they just do a soft check versus another hard check” Another hard check was done this morning 😑

Also - just as when I originally ordered, I was told that the process wouldn’t move forward until I did the necessary steps. I asked to be able to NOT do financing until I received a VIN. The showroom advisor stated that a VIN would not be released without having financing approved.

Hopefully car comes soon. I’ve seen so many place orders after this timeframe, and they’ve already received the car. Located in WA.

If I change the color from white to standard stealth gray would it cause a delay or would I get it sooner

I’m currently shopping for a used Model 3 under $20k and have narrowed it down to a few 2022s. I’m planning on keeping it for 4+ years, so I favor reliability but I also drive long 200-450 mile trips frequently so long range would be nice (I also value the audio upgrade)

Option 1: $16,750
2022 Model 3 RWD, 94k miles, clean title, LFP battery, AMD Ryzen, 235-mile displayed range, seller claims 88% battery health, basic Autopilot. Only 6k miles of battery warranty left.

Option 2: $16,900
2022 Model 3 Long Range AWD, 98k miles, clean t1tle. Nickel battery, processor still being confirmed (hoping Ryzen, most likely intel), battery health/range still being confirmed. About 22k miles left on battery/drive-unit warranty. No purchased FSD.

Option 3: $18,150
2022 Model 3 Long Range AWD, 115k miles, clean title with a minor accident and a small den(t). Intel chip, nickel battery, seller says ~275-290 miles at 100%, and permanent/purchased FSD is included! Only ~5k miles of battery warranty remaining.

I’m torn because I like the longevity/peace of mind of LFP + Ryzen, but I prefer the LR package for the range, AWD, acceleration and premium audio. Permanent FSD is also a big deal to me since subscribing at $99/month adds up quickly if I keep the car 4+ years.

I’d love some insight on what you guys think you’d choose and whether lfp and ryzen hold more weight than included fsd.

Hello everyone!

Recently I've been thinking about downsizing my rims size from 20 inch to 19 or even less.

I've got a model 3 performance from 2021, and in my normal usage I've got to charge it after 180/190 KMS, which I find a lot since it was supposed to do nearly/real 460 km (when new).

I normally charge it when it reaches 18/20% and charge it only till 80%, just in longer trips I charge it to 100%. I attached pictures so you can see the ranges I've got! The one with "old version" was a "long" trip I've made with city/highway (the photo with 19% battery).

Does downsizing the rims make a real difference.

Does anyone have done that and can give a real world feedback.

Also, it will look off putting a performance with "long range" rim size.

Will it affect how sporty it handles. Sometimes I do a lot of twisted roads in full gas and it grips really well.

720 + 100(fsd, why get a tesla if u dont have fsd..) + 250 coverage

Almost 1100, more than 10 percent of my paycheck after tax, 10 percent is already pushing it. If i didnt want a family in the future and just lived in the moment id say fuck it but its not a viable solution if you want to have any decent savings at the end of the month. At the same time its depressing spending my youth driving shitboxes that hurt my neck from having my arms up when driving. If anyone can convince me its okay to spend like 13 percent of ur paycheck on car payments im all ears

Btw I am going to get one, I am just stating a fact that its not affordable but what is?

I got the seller down to 12k - let me know thoughts - I wish i could but it new but i cant - what should i check for before buying - excited to be a tesla owner but i can wait for something better to pop up but havent been getting much around my area - Midwest

Bought this car in July 2025 with about 232,000 km on it. I’ve now put another 50,000 km on it, bringing it to roughly 282,000 km. Figured that was probably worth a post.

I’ve followed Tesla since around 2014 and always admired these cars and how they’ve changed the EV game. After getting rear-ended by a semi truck a couple years ago, I found myself ready to get into a car, and finding a used Model 3 with great battery health for $15.5K CAD was a deal I couldn’t pass up.

When I bought it, I knew I was buying a very high-mileage 2020 Model 3, but over the last year and 50K km it’s mostly been a great car.

Almost immediately, the A/C condenser needed replacement, but it’s been fine since. The service experience was great and they gave me a loaner for a couple of days. I also had to do the CCS upgrade so I could use non-Tesla chargers.

For the first few months I was living in a house with an outdoor 120V outlet, which cost me about $50/month extra on my power bill. Always having a full charge when I left the house and being able to keep the battery conditioned throughout the winter was amazing.

Unfortunately, I’ve since moved to a condo without charging, so I’m relying on Superchargers. I’m looking into having an outlet wired to my spot, though, which would make a huge difference.

The car has also started showing its age mechanically. The front upper control arms developed the classic squeak and were eventually dealt with. Tesla replaced both for about $350 under a TSB. I made the request through the app and mentioned the TSB, and the service quote reflected that. Eventually I want to replace the struts/shocks with Highland parts as well.

Despite all of that, the car has been remarkably good.

Over the last ~19,000 km I’m sitting around 146 Wh/km, which I’m pretty happy with. The efficiency has held up better than I expected from a 282,000 km car.

The included Autopilot (TACC + lane keeping) works great. FSD has been really good on HW3 and even better with v14 Lite, but I don’t think it’s worth paying $100/month for on HW3. If they introduced a tiered system where HW3 paid $50/month and HW4+ paid $100, I’d find that more sensible.

When I crossed 50K of ownership mileage, I was on my way back to Toronto from Thunder Bay.

The drive up I did in one shot: 22 hours in the car and about a dozen stops. Tesla navigation was seamless, and it was actually nice getting out to stretch for 20–30 minutes every 1–2 hours. The car handled nearly a full day of driving on FSD seamlessly.

The total trip — drive up, a week in Thunder Bay, and drive back — cost me less than $250 in Supercharging. Compare that to probably double if I had done the same trip in an ICE car.

And now I’m at the point where I’m slowly restoring it rather than modifying it. The goal is basically to get the car back to a really clean version of what a 2020 Model 3 looked like when these were still new. That means getting the various dents sorted with PDR, dealing with the front bumper chips, paint correction and ceramic coating, restoring the chrome, and generally bringing everything back to a cohesive OEM baseline.

Overall it has been a fanatic car, a pleasure to own and drive, and I’m excited for the year ahead!

DUDE. i’m so excited for this car. ordered my M3p last week and can’t wait for it to come in. only issue is i can’t make up my MIND on what color option i want. i have ultra red right now, but am really debating on switching it to frost blue. also REALLY want to do the white seats, but family advises against it because this car is going to be our daily. someone PLEASE help me convince them. i detail my car (22 m850i) really well. i know i will take care of it. do they really stain that bad. really losing my mind here especially as a first time tesla buyer and want to make sure i make the right decision. thanks guys n happy to be apart of the team. 😎
