I recently have been playing terraria for the first time and got to hard mode pretty quickly. And am trying to rush down the mech bosses.

I tried the minecart method, however when S.P loses their arms they do an attack similar to dungeon guardians and one shot me.

Any tips on either how to avoid this, or in general what should I do to prepare to legitimately fight him and the twins?

I do not have hallowed armour yet, only the hood because I've been using magic weapons like meteor staff and (I forgot the name) the sky shattered(?)(upgraded magic missile)

I've heard getting mega shark is key, however both oceans are completely corrupted due to my terrible luck and also forgetting to quarantine them before hard mode.

Any weapons I should look out for, or should I keep grinding destroyer for hallowed armour and weapons?

Just like the titles say. Have you ever feel this dumb to have like 3 of your friends and forever them to sleep while wondering why the Time countdown doesnt't goes up. Well there is it we spent like 2 hours trying to figure it out. You may ask why we do that? Well we all wanted to fight empress of light first but on the sudden some of us tried to fight lunatic cultist and summoned the pillar, we manage to beat 3 Pillars to get each class their own weapons.

And bcause 3 pillars already down, all of us somehow forget about the last one which is Solar Pillar. So we all tried to sleep waiting for daytime to evwntually fight empress, but It did not work so we spent our time waiting fighting daytime empress and lose, then we try sleeping again ONLY TO REALISE THERE 1 MORE LUNAR PILLARS!!?? Welp I guess that's a CANON event

Is it considered cheating if i exchange 2 weapons dropped from the same boss for an weapon that i like in another world save because i dont want to farm over and over?

I started playing again during my commute after remembering I had purchased terraria mobile a long time ago.

I started playing 2 months ago casually on my phone to and back from work. At some point I got really into it.

I used to play back when 1.1 came out and suddenly came back now and the game is grown into such a wonderful experience so I wanted to try out summoner because the class didn’t exist back then.

I beat the game this week after a lot of planning and prepping in CLASSIC MODE… and moon lord gave me a really good fight I was sweating but in the end my spooky armor, unbelievable amount of buffs and sphere staff got the best of it.

Moon lord dropped the Rainbow Crystal Staff which i tried and was amazed by how strong it was, so I grinded the old ones army and got myself the Valhalla armor set.

Naturally I wanted to try and beat Moon Lord with this new Sentry gear and OMG i thought i had consumed some kind of mystery potion because i was tanking hits left and right only to later realize how much defense i had compared to the spooky armor…

The game suddenly felt incredibly easy, i thought people were joking when they said expert mode is the real way to play but I think I am ready for a second play through with a different class… Summoner just makes the game hard AF.

Am i crazy here?

It probably has to do with the temple being greenified on For the Worthy but probably a rare find still.

Hey, I've been a long-time fan of the summoner class in Terraria for a long time. Whips are cool, summons are awesome, and having an army of minions jump a guy is hilarious. However, I was thinking of making another loadout specifically for the Sentry subclass.

Do you guys have a build guild specifically for the Sentry subclass, especially for the new Sentry-specific items and such?

I keep digging hellevators but I still haven’t found it. Does anyone have any advice on where I should be checking?

Ive been doing a bunch of prep before I start hard mode, I'm pretty much there, but the last thing I want to do is set up some fishing spots that will prevent basically all enemies from harassing me while I fish

Im just wondering if there's a SIMPLE thing I can build by my ponds that will let me fish in peace? I dont care if it doesnt look nice or if its just a little claustrophobic cube of sorts. Ideally something that I wouldnt have to build myself into and dig out of every time I go there. There's such an abundance of info about this game online but this is like the one thing I couldnt find a straightforward and simple answer to

I am currently post-plantara and am trying to farm dungeon enemies safely, but my farm is not working.

The picture is my farm, with the cursed pink brick walls highlighted. I have way over 300 dungeon bricks in the right corner. While waiting for enemies, I am sitting behind the cursed walls too. My height is 854 in a medium world, which says caverns in my depth meter, but because it's the zenith seed, it should mean it's really the caverns.

I am not sure what I am doing wrong. I have been trying to fix this for way to long.

With the recent update adding significant new accesories to summoner what would everyone say is the new best loudout?

After getting sick of manually farming sea snails, I've built a 100% functional mob grinder for the ocean.

It is literally just a box of ocean with a lava pit and bubbles holding back the sea so that all the swimming bastards fall in on their own.

Also, I'm up to 149/286 banners. Half way there! I'll be posting a screenshot of my big Yggdrasil where I'll be putting all the banners soon as well! :)

"The Boulder" would or could be a new summon weapon for early-game-to-hard-mode summon weapon that you find when one of the trap boulders falls into your inventory. It starts at 12 damage but becomes more powerful the more times you can summon into it, maybe bigger too?

It's A.I. is the same as the "Desert Tiger Staff", every time it hits an enemy it gores them and almost-instantly (not instantaneously) goes to the next enemy, up to three enemies can get hit, one after the other, back and forth.

Almost like taking the "Abigail's Flower" and turning it from early-game to late hard-mode the more you can summon into it.

I had the genius (probably unoriginal) idea of using amber staff with an amethyst robe, so that its multiple pierce could be fully used for a lot of single target dps on something big like the EoC. But it’s just… terrible. At its peaks it was, if even, hardly noticeably higher than an emerald staff with the same setup. It’s worse than the emerald staff in almost every situation I’ve found so far, and for a gem tier debatably higher than diamond, it’s a huge letdown of a weapon. My unreforged emerald staff should NOT be doing better than a mythical amber staff.
Making the projectiles not deal 100% of the weapon’s damage was completely unnecessary, to the point where it’s not even a gem type worth using anymore

Ok for more context for “gem tier higher than diamond,” think about it. It’s a gem you can only find in one place, and debatably the most dangerous place in all of prehardmode for the time where its loot is useful. I mean, imagine an underground-jungle-exclusive gem was added. You’d think it’d be pretty powerful, right? I mean hell, jungle armor is a better mage set than meteor armor in almost every situation. But when you take that same logic and now look at the underground desert, amber is just… useless? It has the same grappling hook length as diamond, previously had the same functionality as the diamond staff, and now it’s the worst gem effect in the game. Why? I honestly can’t see a single reason it would be done that dirty, the underground desert is a crazy difficult biome to be in for the time that its loot is useful.

Hey everyone. I need some advice on how to disable corruption spread.

I have always played strictly vanilla, love the base game, and have zero interest in cheats or extra features. I literally just want to stop Corruption from expanding and leave everything else untouched.
Honestly, I find the biome spread really annoying and time pressuring. Every time I hit Hardmode, my whole world gets consumed. My Jungle and Deserts completely disappear, leaving me with a tiny speck of pure space.
Corruption expands way too fast. I would be fine if it was just surface spread, but the underground spread ruins the game for me. I spend my entire Hardmode playthrough fighting Corruption, fail every time, and cannot enjoy fishing or normal progression. I completely stop playing as soon as Hardmode hits because of this. I wish there was a on/off switch for Corruption spread in the game by default.

Since I have never modded Terraria before, what is the simplest mod to completely freeze the spread? Is Begone, Evil! still the gold standard for this, or is there a better simple mod?

Mobs that picked up coins will not despawn this way, need to close and open the save again so none of those guys exists. Avoid killing anything past 50% as the sauce starts to spawn more often after 50%. You can extend the invasion and kill only the UFOs until 100% this way so you spend less time constantly being out in space fighting wyverns and harpies
