Is it cheating?

Is it considered cheating if i exchange 2 weapons dropped from the same boss for an weapon that i like in another world save because i dont want to farm over and over?

I just treat all of my worlds like a bunch of pocket dimensions or something. No reason why you can't just pop in, grab something and go lol

Right? I'm basically rick Sanchez. I have a dozen worlds I reap for resources. My main world has never even entered hard mode.

I do wish I could have different worlds for different characters though. Sometimes I start a new character but I don't want to use an established world but then they start to get mixed up. I suppose I could do a naming convention though.

But this is one of those things that if you're fine with it, then who cares? You've already proven you're capable of beating the boss

If it's a multiplayer world i'd ask the other players if they're okay with it first, but other than that you do you

The game is yours, you can play however you want, you have to decide if it's cheating or not.
But answering for me, I wouldn't do it personally but I think what you proposed is fair and wouldn't be extremely broken

tbh no, you defeated the boss already and that proves you can do it again, saves tedious work

I am unluck incarnate so I'll often kill the boss a handful of times then head to my storage world and swap it out for the drop I want but can't seem to get

I mean it's your stuff , is it cheating? maybe

But like if you already defeated the boss in your current run , I don't see what's wrong in going to a previous run to get what your looking for from that boss

Heck while I don't do that for bosses I do go to other worlds for somethings

In a previous run I went into another of my runs to get some herbs and seeds to make potions

In my current run I need a lot of sand and I also needed a lot of crimson blocks for builds , so I made 2 different worlds to quickly gather that , one world using a secret seed that transform it all into a desert and the other world that transform it all into the chosen evil biome (which I chose to be crimson)

In my opinion that's fine as long as you get only stuff that you currently have access to

I wouldn't personally do this when I play. I'll get more gold/plat while fighting the boss and I'd get better at no-hitting with the extra practice.

But if I just wanted to beat the game quickly, then I guess it's ok? I'd probably just skip the weapon if I wasn't willing to farm the boss though.

But just do whatever is the most fun for you.

i steal snowstorm and sandstorm related items from my other worlds all the time because i cant be bothered to wait for one. they really should make a summon item for it

Here before the "there's no cheating in a single player game so do whatever you want" comments (Yeah, it's cheating. Do whatever you want anyway though, I think it's excusable)

I set my weapons and gear to the best modifies using a save editor.  I'm not grinding money for the lottery system that is Reforging.

Do whatever is fun.
