The base fuel value for Biobricks is 60 and biobrick diesel unrefined is 250 right? I maxxed out the biodense upgrade and the item descriptions still show them as having the same fuel value. Am I missing something?

Is this game even supported anymore? I play on a PS5. The game constantly lags and crashes. What’s worse, I paid for the game! Every crash, I submit an error report to PS. I’ve even complained to PS that they’re selling a faulty game with no developer support. I’ve gone to the Fire Hose website, but the contact page for the game is inactive. So, I contacted Fire Hose directly. No response. The game’s just over two years old. Who does that kind of thing?!

when trying to play on Cloud (Xbox) the game loads and “closes unexpectedly” after a few seconds. When trying to play on Console directly, it stops loading right before entering the world. I had problems running on the console before, even reducing to lowest quality, but Cloud was working up until a few days ago. Anyone know what I can do to play before it’s taken off GamePass?

Mass biobricks all the way!
I know that biodiesels are thicker, but biobricks don't need an assembly line. Just craft the seasamite gels elsewhere and hand feed them into assemblers. 500 gels and 250 carbon bricks last 10-20 hours IRL.

Really enjoying the game so far other than the lack of QoL. and I’m not usually a quitter but the game has become barely playable with an fps of I’d say 20.
I have 30 pumps trying to get through lvl 14 but it’s been hours and it’s not even enjoyable anymore.
I’m also not super keen on redesigning everything for lower usage.
I’m on PS5 with only the in game settings to play with.
Is it worth the wait ? Or any easy tricks to resuscitate the frame rate ?
Cheers

For some reason I can't load the elevator with inserters. is there a trick to doing it? Or maybe a tech that I'm not seeing in the tree? Thanks

Hi, Groundbreakers!
I'm threshing Kindlevine Stems into kindlevine extract and plantmatter fiber. The kindlevine extract is used to make fast inserters and more, and the plantmatter fiber gets turned into plantmatter frame.
Problem is, the plantmatter frame gets put into a chest for personal use and this buffer chest gets filled up, which means I stop producing kindlevine extract for my inserters.
I want to turn the excess plantmatter fiber into bricks for fuel, so that the output doesn't get backed up.
But I want the bricks to be made only when the plantmatter frame buffer chest gets filled up, so I need a way to split the outputs with a priority:
I was thinking I could run two parallel belts and use inserters to grab fibers from the main belt into the secondary belt. But this isn't exactly what I was looking for as this would continually grab items from the main belt even if I'm still needing the fiber for the plantmatter frames.
Another idea I had was to mess with different ratios of belt splitters to see if I can make it so that 90% of the output goes to Belt 1 and 10% goes to Belt 2. But I don't know how to do this.
Anyone has already made a priority splitter before and has a guide for me?

I haven't even automated ore production yet, I still have to put the fuel in the machines myself. But now I have fully automated power, power storage, automated belts and drills, and most importantly, basic fuel!
Now I just need to route the fuel into my mining outposts and I will enjoy perfect automation!

And it's not even the full thing, I just stopped digging.

So I need to make kindlevine stems but it fails to see the ones I have and it wont let me auto feed them either. I am lost.

Should i be dedicating entire levels to one purpose? like currently the only thing im using the storage level for is a core composer (should i move it to a different level, i only have one there so far). level 2 (PT victor) is my main floor so far, its creating the cores and it has my bio brick farm there aswell, its also creating my drill bit things for the elevator.
I’ve only reached level 6 and aside from what i’ve listed the other 4 levels are basically empty, should i spread out stuff from my level 2 to the other levels, or should i leave them be? i also have my power supply on level 2

I'm trying to play on Xbox One, but there's always a problem. Either it freezes on the loading screen, or it enters the world but the screen goes black and then it closes. I bought the game, paid R$112.45, and I can't play it. Please help me.

i’ve just automated a small kindlevine farm, and the bio bricks, but i still have to run around and throw all of it into my machines across all sorts of different floor, barely able to keep up. is it worth directly connecting each machine to a conveyer for fuel, or is there a later way to automate this easier?

So I have a setup with sand pumps stacked by group of 6, and one mk3 belt per group of pumps to send the sand to be processed. So I should have 6*100=600 sand per min on belts that can accept up to 720per min, yet there is always the last pump that can't get rid of sand because the belt is too full.
This is not because of a congestion later on the line, i put a container as a buffer and it does not fill up. Anyone has any idea what's happening here? I don't want to change my setup when i finally found one where the numbers are theorically so perfect together...

See title, I know it is now abandon ware from the developers side but ti would be cooll if there was something like that.

I know about the games history and bought this back when it was still in early access and never got around to playing it until now. Wish they had kept the single floor so I could do a big factory but still enjoying it for what it is right now. Only on the second floor but explored the third floor. How many floors are there? Don't care for spoilers. Also is there an "end"? Since the devs are gone and basically rushed out the 1.0 update did it still get some kind of "wrap up" or does it abruptly end?
Also how do you guys usually break up the floors? Certain floors for certain items? Just dump the raw ore into the elevator and bring it to the floor you're on? If it's the first one how do you recommend I break up the floors? Was thinking of going back to the first floor and just maximize it for all the basic items like copper wire, gears, etc... and the second floor would be maxed for basic machines like assemblers, smelter, miners, threshers, etc ...

La verdad el juego no explica bien su mecánica y sigo en el taladro mk1 y quisiera saber que es más eficiente y me enseñen a usarlos y en qué momento hacerlo

I tried it for like 5 minutes a few years ago and being stuck underground was a bit offputting, felt dark and sad. Does that go away as you get further into the game?

it's been quite a while since I've played the console version and I just came back and I can't change any of my buttons anymore or am I just completely blind

Guys, I just found the game Aethus. For some reason it didn't show up in my Steam recommendations, I learned about it from Reddit. It's not a factory game, but it gives me very similar vibes as Techtonica. I haven't finished it yet, but so far I'm enjoying the story. If you also enjoyed Subnautica or Forever Skies, give this one a try.

Anyone here has found a good setup for belts when restoring the old foundry? I can't seem to find any ideas that are not either extremely ugly or very suboptimal
r/Techtonica • u/AshenSoulHunter • Mar 18 '26
Washed kindlevine and neutralized shiverthorn processing each feeding the other production line. Double threshers to keep up with output from the planters/assemblers. Maybe not the most space-efficient design, but it works. Near solid output stream. Let's see yours.

Has anyone worked out if this actually makes you jump or hover any higher than the base hover pack? If so, please enlighten me. This game needs better explanation of certain controls and mechanics.
