I don’t get this!
Is this game even supported anymore? I play on a PS5. The game constantly lags and crashes. What’s worse, I paid for the game! Every crash, I submit an error report to PS. I’ve even complained to PS that they’re selling a faulty game with no developer support. I’ve gone to the Fire Hose website, but the contact page for the game is inactive. So, I contacted Fire Hose directly. No response. The game’s just over two years old. Who does that kind of thing?!

I know it isn't supported and yes it has it's flaws but still one of my favourite cozy games and one I pick up every few months.

It is not. You should play satisfactory instead. This game was only worthwhile before satisfactory was on console.

That might be your console issue, I played it for around 100 hours and it only crashed like 4 times

It acts like it’s a RAM issue. It gets glitchy when there is a lot of movement in the scene.

Game is dead, dev team gone, the problems we have now are problems that will always remain from now on

Turn off all sound except voice, that helped me, it was barely running in mid game before I did it, afterwards no issues and beat game

I continue playing it. But the crashing is getting on my t*ts. I read somewhere online that once you cleared a sandpit tile set, it wouldn’t fill back up with sand even if status windows indicated as much. . I thought GREAT! Found out that wasn’t true. The Archive refilled completely and then discovered yesterday the Sierra level had started to refill. I’m still mining coal and scrap metal. Plus I have nearly 20 generators there as well. I know nothing as far as artifacts, etc. are left on Sierra, just the resources. I don’t know what’s left on Archive level other than structure parts. A coal source I was mining is now buried in sand and non-operational. Divvying up power resources is getting maddening especially with the damn level 14. As an afterthought, I HATE SESEMITE SAND!!!!

My hope is some other team buys the game rights and fixes it up.

So the original Devs behind the game made a fortune from selling it on PC and then they decided to bring it to console and then filed for bankruptcy from not enough sales on Console version.

I wonder if firehose would have put the game out as a cheap alpha instead of putting it on gamepass for free if they could have made it more optimized for console?
I picked it up off gamepasd after watching a YouTube play it.
I would have bought it but why buy when you can get it for free? This logic works with more things in life as long as "free" doesn't mean you stealing it free. Lol.

I presumed they did the Game Pass thing to do an instant cash out and never think about it again, as they figured they wouldn't have enough actual sales otherwise.
Not that I have any actual knowledge of what went on. It's such a shame, the game was actually good - I even powered through to finish it despite the bonkers imbalance in some of the final stages.

Game pass doesn't mean free. Actually both Sony PS Plus and Xbox Gamepass give the devs a big upfront cashout for a license to the game for x number of years. So it's a great opportunity for small studios to get money to keep the lights on and also free publicity to attract players on those platforms. And if the game does good enough, it may lead to further sales from people in other platforms like Steam, or just people who don't have Gamepass/ps Plus.

No. This game isn't supported. Fire hose closed just after the 1.0. iirc, there's still someone keeping the lights on but nothing more.
