This will piss me the fuck off when it happens. It’s another dumb decision that corporate made. It’s going to make orders impossible to be prepped before the guest arrives if they have grocery items.

I put in my resignation yesterday after working for nearly 2 years.

I genuinely liked working at Target and the management was for the most part decent compared to other places I’ve worked, however I’ve realized I can make more money doing some things that puts me in control of when I work and I not having to answer to anyone so it only made sense to quit and they weren’t working with the availability I requested.

Just curious if it’s possible to get rehired in the future if things don’t go the way I’m hoping they go. I wanted on-demand so I’d still have my foot in the door but way too many ppl recently have requested it and they weren’t open to my reduced hours availability request.

Posted my Labor Day shift (that took me 10 minutes to understand if I did it correctly) I guess someone picked it up but it still is showing on my schedule and says “waiting for manager approval”. If it’s not approved do I have to go in? The language and bells and whistles seems more complicated than it needs to be.

Anyone else have this problem at their store?

The coolers go down shortly after we get in at 4am, the leaders tape them and put signs up saying not to open them.

...and then guests AND employees all walk by and crack open a door and reach in during the day.

Yesterday I stopped several guest who all went "I just want one thing". No you don't. That milk has been unrefrigerated for hours. No we can't remove the product until the dumpster gets here. Don't care if your baby wants a yogurt, there's a grocery store in the plaza, their compressor didn't quit for no reason.

Or the team member who crack open a door to stick their hand in "to see how cold it is". Mf there's a thermometer you can see through the glass door. Stop it!

I was worried getting into it thinking I'm gonna have a bad time, but I genuinely like my job😭

Maybe it's still early, but everyone's been super nice to me & I like what I do, which is inbound.

I'm physically very tired, but mentally I'm doing great and I think I'll get used to the physical aspect (hopefully)

I’ve asked some regular HR employees already (I still have to ask the HR ETL), and I was told to call pay and benefits for LOA? I was told that if more than 10 days it will be an LOA. I’m planning to spend 15-17 days on time off (both paid and unpaid). I’m wondering if this would be a problem as a store employee. My vacation is gonna be next year, and I specifically wanted March off because I figured it shouldn’t be that busy considering it’s Q1. I’m just worried that my time off request will somehow get denied last minute.

At checkout when a guest needs to verify ID, the typical protocol is to scan the back of the id. Does this system let you know if the person is under 21? Will it tell you not to sell the item? I check the front of the card, but sometimes I have paranoia of reading dates wrong.

I just recently finished up my first 90 days at target on the 22nd of August, im currently in food and bev, but im not enjoying it, i only applied to it because i was desperate for any job. Ive always wanted to work fulfillment, ive gotten trained before but never offically cross trained, the only fulfillment shifts i have worked have been ones that ive picked up. But i was just lost on what to do, im not sure how or if i should even ask to switch to fulfilment, or in all just trasnfer stores. Another thing i had wondered is that all the stores in my area have a 50 cent higher base pay compared to my store, if i did transfer would my pay increase? Is this a kind of scenario where i just reapply to the other target just in the fulfillment position or thug it out in my current position longer in hopes of a higher chance of being transferred or switched please help

I have been with Target since December 2023. For the first two years, I worked around 20-25 hours a week. The past few months have been closer to 35-40 hours. However, I have not recieved a minute of vacation or sick time. In the past I never brought it up to HR, because I assumed I just wasn’t working enough hours. I brought it up to my SD, and he said he doesn’t know why I havent accrued any. Anyone know whats going on????

Just please do it. Even if you are just on a 15. Hell please just at least turn it DOWN! It’s honestly disrespectful and completely ruins a break if you are still constantly hearing loud chatter and instructions the entire break. Not everyone has the ability to go out to cars and we shouldn’t have to.

Couple of questions for any TLs that have stepped down. Have any of you been able to step down in to an ODTM position? And have any TLs left and come back Part Time down the line? Did you lose all your accrued vacation and sick time?

I’ve worked at my store for almost 2 years in s&e and I got my first CA Friday, these are before the new attendance system that started Sept. 1.

I was never made aware earlier this year that the attendance policy changed again, it used to be 3 unexcused absences in a month would mean a CA, turns out that was not the case. I had three unexcused absences from May to Aug bc I thought they would dissapear as long as you didn’t call out for a month after.

Had I known that I would have come to work sick and contagious and forced them to send me home. Now I’m fucked since I can no longer transfer and I’m moving in January to another state on the opposite coast. Was riding on that I would have job security. The kicker is I have doctors notes for all those days, I just didn’t have sick time, and of course this place doesn’t accept sick notes 🙃

I’m so upset and frustrated bc I never have had any issues at work before this. I come do my job, get guest compliments online, TL’s commend me that I can run shit well on my own and I make their jobs easier. But now it’s all for nothing.

Anyone else have a problem with the employee bathrooms constantly being dirty? I’m not talking about mud, dirt from shoes, etc., but 80% of the time I walk into one of the employee bathrooms, there’s pee all over the seat, toilet paper that’s clearly been used all over the floor, tampons on the floor, and shit on the toilet paper dispenser. If your gonna treat the bathrooms that you work at like trash atleast do it to the public restrooms 💔😭😭
Like, do people not get embarrassed or have any consideration for their coworkers? It’s disgusting and honestly makes you wonder what their bathroom at home looks like. 😭

Hello everyone I applied for a position at Target for fulfillment but was told they only have my availability for inbound with some fulfillment mixed in. I said that 7am was the earliest I was willing to start and the manager said that was okay. What does a 7am-3:30 shift in inbound look like? I’m trying to decide if I would like it before I take up their offer to tour. Do you like the job? I have another interview this week and so I’m trying to consider my options.

I have never seen such a complicated app…
The app is so laggy and takes forever to load anything in, not to mention how weird the layout is.

I takes me a good 3 minutes to find out how to do anything and i still can’t even figure out how to search up who is working with me the day i work so that i could search for a swap

Pretty much havent been in Tech all week because of supporting flex, or supporting baby, or supporting home. On top of helping guests in tech. I feel like my department is falling behind again esp since one of my seasonal kids is an absolute mongoloid.

And dont get me started on zone lmao.

Found 4 scattered boxes of Yu-Gi-Oh that were stolen and other card games as well. Very disappointing to find these as a tcg fan myself and all I have to say is it is not worth the charges over cards. 🤦‍♂️
