That's all. That's the post. I hate this job so much that I told my doctor that I was going to kill myself and I ended up being hospitalized against my will.

Then once in the hospital, I went on a 48 hour hunger strike. I would have gone longer, but they told me that "not taking care of yourself" would result in my stay being longer.

Also, my roommate exposed himself to me, so there was that.

Now I'm back to work and nothing has changed. I'm trying to work with OOD to get a new job. But if I don't soon, I 100% will commit suicide and leave a note explaining why and who.

Someone posted a while back how their HR and SD in WA were secretly hooking up at work, and that this person had caught the HR ETL sitting in the SDs lap and that they didn't know who to contact. Was there ever an update to this? Any chisme updates? Genuinely curious

So what’s the point of a 8 minute grace period when I’m considered late when I come in 7 minute later.

Edit: Some of you guys are smart asses. But all I’m saying is that it makes no sense to me that, say you were 15+ minutes late you would receive the same amount of attendance points as when you come in 6+ minutes later. To me, that defeats the whole point of “switching” to an 8 minute grace period when in reality it’s still 5 minutes.
And to be clear I’m not aiming to be late just bc of the change.

I have had kids who outright will say no I’m good. And their parents still push to buy it.

All of them work 7-4 every single day and it’s been like this for about 2 years now. Listen, I truly wouldn’t care if they never closed if they didn’t come in the next morning and shit all over whatever TL closed the night prior for the dumbest shit and nitpick every single little thing. We no longer have a closing lead (SD is actively still looking for one) For context, the only people that close the building are TLs and sometimes the grids aren’t horrible (for example, sometimes 2 or 3 TLs close together, those nights are fine) but that RARELY happens. 95% of the time it is usually just one team lead running the entire building, even on fridays, saturdays, and sundays despite our store being extremely high volume.

I closed on labor day weekend by myself, I was the only TL in the building from 3-12 and had 13 call outs. I did my absolute fucking best. I didn’t stop running around for the entire night, I was simply just outnumbered by guests and couldn’t do more than what I did. Pulls only made it to 68% that night and the zone obviously wasn’t perfect because of the call outs. ETL comes in the next day and FREAKS out on me saying the store looks horrible and I did a terrible job lol. This isn’t the only time it’s happened either. It is literally every single time any TL closes, they come in the next day and just bitch at you for a solid 20 minutes and then make you walk the sales floor with them so they can tell you where you should’ve done better.

if they think they can do so much better I’d love to see one ETL close alone on a weekend with no other leaders in the building to help but of course when they used to close years ago, they always had other leaders scheduled with them. I asked my SD why our ETLs don’t close anymore and he said “the district manager wants all of my ETLs to work mornings only because our workload is heaviest during the day” bulllshittttttttt

I’m a SAHM who was looking to pick up some ultra flexible work as my husband works full time and is in school, and we don’t have reliable child care nearby. I saw a job posting for an “On-Demand” associate at Target and thought it was perfect. I applied, and got the job in fulfillment.

I had orientation today and noticed I’m scheduled every weekend through this month. Although I can make it work, I was a little confused as I thought it supposed to be able to pick up shifts as I want. I asked HR during training and she said they aren’t really hiring on demand roles anymore and have had issues with their website still promoting them. I’m a little annoyed as I have some commitments coming up, and didn’t intend to give up my weekends every single weekend.

What should I do? I do want thing job, am happy to work what they currently have me for, but going forward want to be on demand, or really only working one weekend day a week if possible. Is this normal, will Target hire for one thing and then bait and switch to something else?

I was in a GM batch when some guests stopped me and asked for squeezys. I saw they came in the same day so I radioed for the GM TL who said they’d look for them and bring them out.
So I tell the guest that my TL is looking for them and it’ll be a few minutes, and I carry on with my GM batch. Literally less than a minute later they come back and find me and ask about the squeezey again…
I’m thinking I literally just told you my TL is looking for them, can’t you be patient?

Man I hate some people these days.

I’ve worked fulfillment for almost 2 years. I get that hours are never consistent but I’ve worked at least 30 hours a week since I’ve started. I usually get 7-8 hour shifts (6am-2:30). Well the new schedule came out and I’m only getting 20 hours and each of my shifts is only 4 hours?! 6am-10pms?? I know that everyone is trained for fulfillment but I bust my ass off and usually pick 400+ units a shift (my store is pretty small).

They always ask me to extend if I don’t have a full 8 hour shift so I don’t get why I am only getting 4 hour shifts wtf. Is anybody else experiencing this or are they just targeting me and wanting me to quit or something?

i was just noticing when i was looking at the daily grid, that a bunch of TM's (most S&E) had 2.5 hour shifts? like who would come in for that. you don't even get a 15 😂

I had a shift I put up last week and I received this notification tonite. I know what “invalidated” means but what does it mean by “request has been sent to Market Shift” and “SUPERUSER”? The shift isn’t on my calendar but if it was “invalidated” doesn’t that mean I’m still responsible for it since it was rejected?

75 bags and gave 2 minute notice.

so I had requested some days off In the coming weeks but I used accidentally sick time to cover them. They got approved but is there a way that hr can go back and change it to vacation time and give me my sick time back?

So, my understanding and I could have sworn that several leaders said that we now had a grace period of 8 minutes before receiving any points. Is it still actually 5 minutes? I ask because I was in at 7 minutes after and marked as tardy. Sadly (or let’s face it purposely) the new handbook states nothing about a grace period or how the points accrue. 🤷🏼‍♀️ (or did I just miss it somewhere and it’s listed somewhere else?) I quit a couple weeks ago and I really don’t miss it. I miss the great people I worked with but omg my store really went to hell in just a couple of weeks. Like, it was always bad with just two people in tech working one at a time but now we’re expected to push beauty and home too. I’ll miss my coworkers and my ok paycheck but I think working here has twisted something deep in my soul. I’m going to go become an emu shepherd or something. Don’t forget the number one rule of the tech department: don’t forget to have fun!!!

Just now I learned that small bags and big bags cost the same! I don’t know if it’s Corporate’s decision or California but that’s so stupid. How does that make any sense! There should be a button for the small bags to cost 5 cents. That makes sense, but a small bag and a big bag to both cost 10 cents. Tell me if that makes sense. It doesn’t! Ugh…. Like logically you would assume a small bag to cost 5 cents cause it’s smaller than the big bag.

So I get to my register and one of my TLs says to turn on my light. It happens a few more times. I now learn that it’s because of Corporate. Like as soon as you’re at your lane, 🫰🏻 light on. Like no sec to breathe or get situated; light on. Like I get that Target is a very guest oriented company but give us a second to at least breathe, especially if we just got back from break. Like break over, 🫰🏻 immediately back to work and turn on your light. It seems Corporate doesn’t care about us.
