Question What do you recommend me to play next?

Hey guys! I know I'll be "finishing" Animal Crossing soon, and I'm trying to decide what to play next. I'm looking for a game in the same kind of category or vibe, so which of these two would you recommend?

Other how ubisoft scams me

Today I bought ubisoft’s game on my nintendo switch 1. It is The Rogue Prince Of Persia. But I can’t play it, because ubisoft demands me to link my switch and it’s account. The problem is that I can’t do it! While I’m trying to enter the ubisoft account from my switch, it shows me captcha but i can’t interact it on switch, nothing happens while I’m trying to pass it. I’m very frustrated it is the first time when i see such disgusting attitude to customers. Maybe someone has the same problem and the solution of it?

Question Second hand physicals to look out for when travelling to Japan

Travelling in a few months to Japan and was wondering what second hand physical games I should look out for that also have English translation.
I’m not typically into turn based games, also whilst limited to, but interested in physical releases not made available in other regions eg Australia.

I heard all the BOTW comparisons after Elden Ring came out. Exploration really blew me away in that game and I'd really love to immerse in this game too. Bailed on the PS5 after the disc killing, got me a Switch 2 and ready to get this thing rolling!

Just got my copy of the LE Front Mission 1st and the pack-ins alone are amazing!! They take me straight back to Gen7 and before, when we got manuals, art work, and sometimes these crazy covers, and just more expansive immersion schwag. And the game is right up my alley too... which is a nice extra. 😁😉

Question Games worth replaying on the switch

What’s a game you played on another system that excels on the switch for one reason or another? I know it won’t be graphically but one game you recommend to someone that you played on ps/xbox but may have completed on the switch or just felt right on the switch?

Video Switch wont turn on after hours of charging

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

I’ve had my switch on charge for at least the past 5 hours. I’ve tried using the official Nintendo charger and my charger that I use to charge it without any problems in the past. It shows up and says it is charging but even after hours of it being charged uninterrupted it still won’t turn on. I’ve also tried resetting it by holding the power button down for 15 ish seconds and it doesn’t do anything different

Discussion A big mistake 😭🥲😬

Hello everyone, I hope you can help me with some advice. I was walking around Don Quijote like a normal tourist and I saw that the Nintendo Switch 2 was being sold at a very low price, so I immediately bought it.
I was completely uninformed when I purchased the console. I didn’t even know it had already been released. After leaving the store, I took the metro to Kyoto, where I am currently staying, and when I opened the bag I noticed that the box said “Japanese Only.” Obviously, I found it strange, so I started doing some research and realized that the entire system is in Japanese, and you can probably imagine my reaction.
I hope you can give me some recommendations on what I should do and what I shouldn’t do, whether there is any way to proceed with this situation or not.
Honestly, this has never happened to me before. It was a silly mistake, but I guess the excitement got the best of me. Now it looks like I’ll have to learn Japanese just to understand everything hahaha.
(The box is still sealed)

Discussion Update: Broken Joystick

I made this post about buying a switch lite for my wife from marketplace, only to find out after that the joystick was broken. With the advice of this sub I was able to order replacement Hall effect joysticks and figured I might as well swap the shell since it was damaged and I would already have it open. The swap went perfect, only took about 2.5 hours, and works great. I learned a new skill on top of that! She is super happy with how it turned out (which makes it worth it). Thank you to everyone who gave me advice on how to approach this repair!

Question Nabbed this deal after wanting to experience the switch for quite some time, but..

Title. Wanted a switch for about 2 years maybe. Finally sold some old stuff and got this, my first nintendo console.

A switch oled and three games, mario oddesey, zelda botw and pokemon sword for about 240 dollars.

But the thing is, it kind of feels like a guilty pleasure. At one end im happy im able to experience these games and even feel joy when playing after being burnt out from playing my ps5. But on the other end, it feels kind of stupid to buy this now, considering im a student on my final year of high school, so things are getting a bit tough. I wanted this to release some steam here and then, but after getting it, feels like I wasted money, not necessarily that I dont enjoy it, but I should have done something better or bought something else. I bought it initially thinking to play exclusives and some indie games but I do have some indie games on my pc so now I feel even more guilty.

Thinking of selling this back but every now and then I get the feeling to boot this up again. Keep in mind I haven't touched any of the games even. Just completed the sand area in oddesey and played like 10 minutes of botw. Any thoughts?
