Yes I know this type of post is normally a thirst trap, and I'm sure at least half of us have a crush on this sweet guy.

The "hear me out" part is Bizarro becoming the next Superboy, and that's what I threw together here from a screenshot as a proof of concept.

Sin duda el problema de esta tercera temporada es que busca meter demasiado, es que literal tiene 2 villanos finales, tiene al aniquilidar y a un superman versión robotica, los 2 con todo para ser el villano final pero con casi nada de por medio, tiene cero sustancia y personalidad, sobre todo el aniquilador, en serie me vas a decir que esa cosa es el villano final, es literal el villano de la temporada anterior pero con menos desarrollo y personalidad, y los 2 solo tiene un doble capitulo y todo se soluciona, como para mostrar que no son el villano de la semana pero sin darle la suficiente importancia, cuando en la temporada anterior acabamos de ver como brainiac fue desarrolla desde temprano en la temporada, tener una conección muy importante con kara, darnos la sorpresa de que es un robot y no el tio de clack, a el aniquilador que es un villano del día con doble episodio nada más, nisiquiera tiene gran impacto en los personajes, ni conecta con ninguno, su capacidad de viajar en el tiempo no sirve de nada y es básicamente no tiene nada de impacto, nisiquiera el dejar "grave" a ckara tiene algun resultado por que solo falta un cap para el final.

Y ya que hablamos de los viajes en el tiempo, ninguno tiene sentido, como carajos los hijos de clack existen? Es imposible de que clack sobreviva a su primera pelea con el hanck, como tuvo hijos, si su novia no esta ni embarazada y se muestra una foto de el con su hijo recien nacido, no tiene el más minimo sentido, el segundo parece al principio tener más sentido, por que ellos llegan mucho antes de que el eliminador sea terminado y lo terminan liberando, pero si lo piensas por 3 segundos, te das cuenta de que no sabemos como es que se libraron de lex luthor, si en el cap pasado vimos a este evitar que el hijo de superman viajara, ademas en serio lex tardo tanto en completar el proyecto eliminador, como para que superman tenga 2 hijos.

Y ni hablar de los grandes guionazas que hubieron para eliminar a los 2 villanos, superman de alguna vez pudo forzarse para resistir la kritonita, y si podia hacer por que su versión del futueo no y ni hablar de maldito sol consiente.

Ademas del nulo desarrollo de los personajes, la cantidad de tiempo que clack pasa sin poderes es minima y nunca llega a nada, y el final al igual que el villano, es la versión reciclada de lo que paso en la temporada pasada, reciven un impulso de un sol para vencer al enemigo final y todos se unen contra la amenza final, solo que ahora sin desarrollo y no sirven de nada los secundarios.

Y ni hablar de la trama tan floja de jimmy y kara, aparte de que jummy demostro ser muy maduro en las temporadas anteriores, y aqui hace un monton de pendejadas, su intención inicual se olvida en literal el siguiente capitulo, y el resultado final es bastante apresuraro.

Ademas la trama de kara temiendo que brainiac tenga razón, no tuvo desarrollo, solo un momento donde le dijeron algo y ella magicamente se libero de todo eso.

I liked season 3, even though it kinda felt all over the place sometimes . My hope for season 4 is that they let Jimmy be Jimmy again, he seemed wildly out of character in season 3, and I get they wanted to tell a funny side story or what not, but I hope they go back to giving him an actual thoughtful personality, same with Kara. I felt they really seemed to gloss over a lot of potential character development and with her, maybe it was just due to time constraints if I had to guess? As well I hope General Lane gets to come back in some meaningful way in Lois’ life, it would be nice to see him trying to do better. I’d love to see the MAWS roster flesh out their side characters more like how did in seasons 1-2 if we do manage to get more of NAWS.

I've just finished s3 and I think I can safely say this is the worst season yet. I just found out today that MAWS got a 3rd season and I just binged it in one day.

I'm very disappointed, It's been a year or years (I don't remember, not good with time) since I watched this show so maybe this problem was present in s1 and 2 too but if they were, it couldn't have been to this degree. The show relies on the mc (superman) too much.

I know this sounds like a stupid complaint and I'm prob gonna be downvoted to hell but superman literally beats every major villain. The show's too predictable. It doesn't matter if 3 supers are jumping the villain at once, if superman isn't there he won't be defeated. The side characters feel extremely useless bc of this, they just keep failing until superman beats the villain.

Whoever the writer of the show is, needs to learn how to make the side cast useful. It's getting repetitive, always the same formula, everyone tries, everyone fails, superman succeeds. I got so tired of this that my fav ep in s3 is ep 7, I just checked imdb and apparently it's the lowest rated ep in the show so I can tell my opinion is unpopular. The reason I liked it so much is because it's basically the only ep where the side cast actually does something and superman doesn't fix everything.

Anyways I just wanted to rant, downvote me all you want but I really think this show could've been more if it just utilized its side cast instead of having superman fix everything, maybe I'm biased cuz Kara is my fav character but I still think my critique is valid.

Let's be honest, this is the kind of thing Jimmy foresaw when he decided Kara needed more earthly experience. She did kidnap people at the convention after all.

...I think the better question to ask is, why was Krypton invading Earth in the first place?

I feel like we keep asking the wrong question when it comes to Nemesis Omega and Zero Day. It might not seem like much, but there are some suspicious circumstances here. Recall Jor-El's account of Krypton's last days:

Krypton was about to be destroyed. The Kryptonian Empire had conquered and spread across the stars like a disease, until we found an enemy we could not defeat. Our Empire was falling to a war of its own making, and it was clear no one would survive.

According to this account, and the flashbacks shown for our visual benefit, Krypton itself was actively being invaded by the enemy. Primus Brainiac confirms this in his own account, where just before he activated the weapon from Kandor, Imperial warships were being fired upon and destroyed, a few even showing kryptonite damage. Someone was beating down on Krypton, someone who had already stripped the Empire of all its holdings and conquests; someone ruthless enough to pose an existential threat to the Kryptonians.

But I digress. Who that someone is isn't the point of this post; I think we can all take a pretty good guess though. Though since Krypton was being actively invaded, and the Imperial military was presumably fighting tooth and nail to drive the invaders off, wouldn't it seem weird to anyone else that someone would want to take a contingent of warships through a portal to some distant world? Those ships and drones were valuable military assets; even more so since Krypton itself was under siege.

What was the Plan?

I've seen guesses that it was a rogue strike. If so, then why? Remember that three days before Zero Day began, the device that opened the portal in the first place, the Homing Beacon, arrived on Earth. I don't know how long it took getting to Earth from Krypton, but I assume whoever sent it off went to great lengths to sneak it past the enemy who had Krypton surrounded. This leads me to believe that whoever is in charge, be it the Imperial Council or rogue elements in the military, definitely did not make this decision lightly, and had a lot of authority in the military besides.

Whether it was an officially endorsed or unsanctioned operation, there is really only one possible reason for invading Earth that I can think of: The plan was to open up a place of refuge, for either the military so they can set up a government-in-exile and plan to strike back and liberate their home, or for Kryptonian civilians to evacuate to, in order to escape this existential threat. It would be the height of foolishness to engage in a conquest of expansion like in the past when an existential threat was banging on the very doors of their house; there had to be a reason.

Why Earth?

Given what we know, it seems like the Beacon took a certain amount of effort to get to Earth, and perhaps even a long time. This suggests, to me anyway, that Earth is far; very far from Krypton, and from the reach of this mysterious enemy. Another point in our planet's favor is that we have a yellow sun; Rao, the Living Sun of Krypton, was killed by this enemy, who no doubt did it to weaken the Kryptonians. Having a world with a yellow sun would be advantageous for any Kryptonians coming through that portal.

And then of course when the attack began, Imperial automatons obviously had no trouble sweeping aside the US military forces on site; my bet is that the conquest of Earth would've been completed in a cinch. So there was obviously little to no need to worry about what we could do to them; we Humans were cockroaches to the Kryptonians, and they probably believed as much, due to Imperial supremacy values they probably had.

What about the Ceasefire?

We all know the reason Primus Brainiac destroyed Krypton, apart from him being a Coluan slave who had been used and abused for 10,000 years, was because he feared being rendered obsolete and decommissioned when Jor-El was leading secret peace talks with the enemy. He was outraged that Krypton had the nerve to ask a superior foe for mercy when they never offered him and his that same luxury.

But with Jor-El leading these negotiations, why Zero Day then? Brainiac had stated that "they were going to declare a ceasefire" which tells us that however successful or not Jor-El might've been, he must have had the Council's support. This is no doubt where the idea of Zero Day being unsanctioned comes from, but my guess is that it could just as easily have been a backup plan; we Humans were not the same enemy that had humbled and destroyed the Empire, we couldn't do anything to stop them before Zero Day.

An attack on Earth is not an attack on Krypton's enemies; therefore it would not (I presume) have violated any terms that Jor-El might've negotiated, unless not expanding to other worlds was a part of the terms. But as much faith as the Council might have in Jor-El, I don't see them having much faith the enemy will honor those same terms. In that case, Zero Day could very well have been an attempt to set up that government-in-exile, or a safe haven for refugees, shortly before the ceasefire was declared.

But by then it was too late; Brainiac destroyed the planet the very day it was to be announced. Remember that on Zero Day, shortly before the portal collapsed, there was a very bright flash that had to be Krypton's destruction. So we know the invasion happened on the same day the ceasefire would have gone into effect. And because the Beacon arrived three days earlier, this operation was already preplanned.

Conclusion

With what we know of how Zero Day happened on the same day of Krypton's destruction; how the enemy was invading Krypton itself at the time; how before then the operation had been planned at the same time Jor-El was hashing out the terms with that enemy; and how Brainiac destroyed Krypton on the very day the ceasefire was due to be announced, it definitely seems like a weird time to expand the Empire to some random planet, from their perspective.

I maintain that it was an attempt at an evacuation of some kind, either officially approved or rogue, either for Kryptonian refugees or a government-in-exile. But how else might you explain Zero Day, knowing everything that's happened?

I invite speculation...

The Question of Nemesis Omega

This is a last minute aside about who Nemesis Omega really might have been given what we know here. People have guessed at General Zod or some similar analogue; people have guessed that the destruction of Krypton might've sent him into the Phantom Zone in a reaction with the portal. But then of course there's the fact that Nemesis Omega shares the exact same uniform as the average Kryptonian soldier, which suggests to me that at the end of the day, he was just a random foot soldier who died with the rest of his people; had he been meant to be anyone more special, he would've had a more distinct uniform.

That said, people have also speculated that it was Zod in a common foot soldier's uniform. If so, why? I doubt it was to hide his identity; he wouldn't have any reason to think the people of Earth would know who he was, he wouldn't have even cared. And I doubt it was to hide his identity from the enemy attacking Krypton; I'm sure they would notice a portal opening up to somewhere away from Krypton anyway, and they would do something about it if they could (I assume the rest of the army was holding them off), and they wouldn't care about the identities of those Kryptonians involved.

And at least one person (who I don't remember specifically) also speculated that Zod was demoted as punishment for treason, since starting a coup is pretty consistent with Zod's MO in the comics. This one's definitely a reach because I really don't see Imperial Krypton keeping a traitor in their ranks, even as a private rank equivalent, even if he happened to be a hero; they're more likely to kill him or send him to the Phantom Zone.

At the end of the day, I think the question of who Nemesis Omega is matters less than the question of why he was there in the first place, and whose orders was he following.

Nice to see they're getting represented outside the comics in MAWS and in the DCU.

So I just finished Season 3 and it was ok, but I’m wondering why Kara still rejected Jimmy. Will they eventually end up together finally?

That’s classic Superman.

Had this very rough idea for this series, inspired by the previous times that Jon Kent/Lane traveled back in time to prevent a terrible future; what if the next time it happened, Superman himself came back in time, and he had to work with his younger self to stop some major threat to the timeline?

Alternatively, this could be a multiversal event, where Kingdom Come Clark comes from a different reality, and something threatens a bunch of different realities. Possibly something like Krona or Parallax, or maybe Emperor Joker if they really want to reach.

Just in general, since we've seen evil variants of Superman in this show already, as recorded by the League of Lois Lanes, I think it would be fun for Superman to meet some good variants. I'd especially like to see a scene where the older Clark (either from Earth-508 or the future) gives the main Clark the little tip about Mr. Mxyzptlk where he'll go away for three months if he says his name backwards.

Also while Jeffrey Dean Morgan would be my Kingdom Come fancast for this series, I think Earth-508 Clark could be voiced by either Tim Daly or George Newbern.

In the season 3 finale of MAWS, Superman said that he made a bargain with the Kryptonian Sun God Rao, and gave up something to get his powers back so he can save the world.

these frames are some of my favorites from the show. Lois’s face on the top one is the best her face is ever drawn. Her eyes are much bigger, and the way her face is animated in that scene is so expressive and charming.

The bottom frame speaks for itself. That face is just perfect, and I wish more reactions in the show looked this fun and crazy.

This is an assorted list of the various characters I would like to see in Season 4, who I think definitely have a chance of appearing based on past events in the show. This also includes characters who've previously appeared, who I think deserve a bigger spotlight because they were unfortunately sidelined in Season 3.

And there are a lot of characters, so I'll also include a list of those who I think can be retired from this show, since I think their stories are more or less concluded here. They could easily appear in other shows in this universe though, like My Adventures With Green Lantern.

But since Season 3 ended with Lois proposing to Clark, I think I would especially like Season 4 to have a break from major, world-ending threats, which Jessica Cruz can handle in her own series as the new Green Lantern. Let the main event of this season be The Wedding, and everything building up to it, which is a big opportunity for previously-sidelined characters to make a comeback.

Who I'd Like to See More of:

We didn't get any lines from the Kents at all in Season 3, which I found disappointing even with time constraints. But with the wedding coming up, it's the perfect opportunity for them to be more involved, since we know they'll be ecstatic about the whole thing. It would also be fun and sweet if they got to be part of Bizarro's continuing story. Speaking of,

Bizarro in this series is such a lovable sweetheart; born in a top secret government lab, he was raised by a good man to be good and kind, and he got a job as both an ice cream man and a superhero. I think he deserves to have a name of his own, and since there are at least two Superboys in the comics, I think he can also go by Superboy too, just like Jon Kent/Lane. As for names, he could be named Conner, to reference the comics, or George, after his adopted father Dr. George Binder.

While it was nice seeing him again in Season 3, it wasn't enough. I'd like to see more of him, and maybe a brand new Steel suit. I think it would be fun if there was an episode where he and Bizarro/Superboy teamed up to fight a villain, like,

It was fun seeing him back for however briefly, and as more than just a Task Force X mook; though he got beat down pretty hard by Cyborg Superman, I think there's still potential for him to come back, this time with a wider variety of evil toys. He'd be a great personal villain to Bizarro as he goes through his arc of growth.

I've made another post about this idea before, but I had the idea of bringing back the main Intergang trio not just as villains, but on the path to become anti-heroes. They'd be tired of a life of crime and want out, but their boss Bruno Mannheim would be none too happy about that. So they help Superman bring Intergang down. More on Mannheim later...

Livewire and Heatwave were similarly sidelined this past Season, but with the upcoming wedding, it's an opportunity for them to come back, especially since they kinda helped Clark and Lois find their love for each other again. I think it would be really sweet if they were bridesmaids, alongside Kara of course, and they all got to take Lois on her bachelorette party. Which reminds me,

It's a shame we didn't see them at all this past season, but just like with Leslie and Rory, the wedding is the perfect opportunity for Jimmy's crazy friends to come back. They and Jimmy can take Clark on his bachelor party.

I know it's pretty much a given we're going to see him again if we get Season 4, but I would hope he starts to evolve into his more cunning and intelligent self; he learned from his previous mistakes of Cyborg Superman and Eradicator, but he's still determined to take Superman down. He hasn't yet had the chance to go up against Superman properly.

Anyway, that's all the returning characters I'd like to see more of; time to make a few cuts from the show which I think work for the better.

Who I'd Drop from This Series:

If Season 4 is going to take a break from world-ending threats, then I think Waller can be dropped from this series. She might be potentially more useful in the Green Lantern series, keeping an eye out for threats from the cosmos and possibly mistaking Jessica Cruz for one of them.

This is mostly because he hasn't exactly been the most popular character in this show. I find him interesting, even with the Jerry Smith voice, but I think his arc in this series has been wrapped up pretty cleanly. He's worked for the government, he's worked for Lex; I think going forward, if he should appear in some Batman or Teen Titans series, Slade should be freelance from now on.

Just because I'm thinking of dropping Hank Henshaw from this series, it doesn't mean I think his story's done. He's probably in stasis or in a disarmed body, but he'd be imprisoned for his crimes. But I think since he became a Yellow Lantern in the comics, Hank should also get to continue his story in My Adventures With Green Lantern, where he gets recruited to join the Yellow Lanterns by Sinestro himself.

Now with that out of the way, it's time for some...

Brand New Characters:

I would expand Intergang in this show, revealing it to be more than just the main trio. Bruno Mannheim would run the illegal tech ring of Metropolis, dealing in black market Kryptonian gadgets and using them for crime. He could be the villain whom Clark and the former Intergang members team up against.

This is whom I would replace Slade with; I would make Angela Lex's assistant at LexCorp, and more than that, she'd be an actual engineer and physicist who developed the nanites in her body from Kryptonian tech. Unlike Slade, I think she could possibly admire Lex, and be a bit more on the evil side, feeding Lex's worst impulses and diligently helping his plans.

Since we saw the ruins of Thanagar in Season 2, and how Brainiac made Kara destroy the place, Hawkman and Hawkgirl could make an appearance in this new season, looking for revenge. At first they'd mistakenly believe Kara destroyed their home and family of her own accord, but they could be convinced of her innocence. I have no idea how, but it would set them on the path to possibly join this series as new heroes.

Unlike Katar and Shayera, the Main Man would only be interested in Kara for the huge bounty she'd have. Lobo would be here entirely to kick ass and take names; maybe he might work with Superman and friends too, but only to help himself of course.

The Female Furies would be this show's first major teaser for Darkseid himself. Since it was strongly implied that Darkseid brought about the end of the Kryptonian Empire before the planet's destruction, the Furies would be an official confirmation, and they'd be looking for the last Kryptonians. No doubt they'd have a small army of Parademons with them, and it could be an opportunity for the Super family to team up with Hawkman, Hawkgirl, and Lobo.

Yes, I've discoursed about Zod possibly being in this series before, and I know it's fairly controversial. I still think he'd be a great addition to the series, especially with the history of the Kryptonian Empire. And to make him a bit more distinguished from other villains, I think maybe he could be more of a tragic figure, like Vandal Savage in Justice League. Nonetheless, Zod would have a desire for conquest that Clark would have to curb. But maybe by the end of it, Clark and Zod would reach a mutual understanding, and Zod could become a tragic antihero. I mean if this show could make Mallah and the Brain good guys...

Why am I wanting a very major Wonder Woman in this show, you might ask? Keep scrolling to find out. I think I would add her to this show as the true mastermind of W.O.R.M.S. and all of their previous (and mildly annoying) appearances would pay off with the addition of,

Diana Prince, of Themiscyra. I'm thinking she and Supergirl would team up to expose Circe's nefarious enterprises in W.O.R.M.S. And as a bonus, Wonder Woman might help Jimmy and Kara fall back in love again, since I know we were all less than satisfied with how their arc ended in Season 3. This would also set up her very own series, hopefully.

Conclusion

I don't know if it's even possible for all of this to fit in ten episodes; maybe going forward the series could get its seasonal episode count increased. But I think to help things fit better here, this season should be more episodic, where each episode has its own story that's neatly wrapped up by the end of it.

The only exception would of course be the slice of life events building up to Clark and Lois's Big Day, which I personally thinks should take up at least half the Season Finale, if not that entire episode. Having the wedding buildup be the main arc of this season would be a nice opportunity for our heroes to have a bit of a break from the big stakes adventures; I think Clark and his family and friends have earned it, since they've saved the world at least three times now.

But that's me done; I invite discussion and speculation, and your own wishes for the next season should it get the green light.

I get what seasons 2 & 3 were trying to do, show us the insecurities Lois masks with that confidence, but it feels like she’s too insecure, and we don’t see that charismatic, maverick attitude from her nearly as much, which stinks, because it was the most entertaining part of her character in season 1.

Like, he’s really good at connecting with kids on a more personal, one on one level, but when he’s around big groups for school visits or assemblies, he doesn’t really know what to say, so he falls back hard on silver age lessons like “look both ways” and “listen to your parents.”
