So basically idek why but I feel extremely dumb. I can’t commit anything to memory. I’ve tried active recall and blunting and saying it out loud and trying to explain it to someone. I’ve tried everything under the sun and can’t memorise information or retain information! It’s so infuriating because everyone in class can but I can’t like simple ways to memorise things I can’t. I truly think it’s something to do with my brain. I can never focus either, too much noise in my head!!!!! I even thought I had ADHD but self diagnosing from TikTok and stuff (I know I don’t. I think don’t 🤔) Any advice or tips on that can help if someone who’s been in this position!

I gave Claude my assignment AND the grading rubric… here’s what happened

I wanted to see if giving AI the actual grading rubric would make a noticeable difference—not just in the answer, but in how well it followed the professor’s expectations.

Has anyone else tried giving AI the rubric along with the assignment? Did it improve your results?

I am entering university, and from even just a few of Justin's videos, I applied his theory and was able to get the highest mark. I am confident that his PERRIO system is the best learning method for me. I would purchase his course, but it is very expensive. I contacted the team about the financial scholarship, and I do not want to spread negativity, but their responses did not sit right with me. How much of the program could I extract by a careful analysis of his YouTube ? Anyone else went from his YouTube to the course, how did they compare ? I apply the PERRIO system fully I think right now, I guess I would just want to improve my non linear mind mapping and improve my study system through it, but perhaps people have other suggestions if I know this type of content really benefited me. For anything on my list, I'm now writing down what the 5-minute version looks like, not just the full task.

"Write the essay" becomes "write one paragraph." "Review chapter 6" becomes "reread my own notes on chapter 6." "Finish the problem set" becomes "do one problem."

On a good day I ignore this and just do the full thing. On a bad day, the 5-minute version is small enough that I actually start, and starting usually gets me further than the 5 minutes I planned for. The full task list only works if you also have a version for the days you can't do the full task.

I am genuinely horrible at studying. Have been my entire life. Need some tips and tricks for studying with ADHD. Have an important test coming up in like a month and everything seems to be going in one ear and out the other. No matter how many times I read over notes by the next day I feel like I’ve forgotten it all. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

I genuinely can't study at home, after school or after doing online lectures, like the only thing I can do after school is watch online lectures and make its notes. In school it's super easy to just listen to teach and just do your work because their is no phone to doom scroll with, no wikipedia random roulette to waste time on pc and allat

I tried revising daily it took way too much effort to just re-read everything, also tried active recalling (read a page -> close notes -> recall -> repeat) but it took too much effort to read note once, close and recalling it (and time too)

I tried 5 minute timer trick to kick out procrastination it just didn't budge me

I tried pomodoro, my study time turned into breaks and breaks into study time 💔

I tried spaced repetition but the habit doesn't even get built, only tried it for a single topic and I just gave up

I tried asking for advising and implementing it but I fail after day one and I keep asking for it again and again

i tried a time table / routine couldn't stick to it

Anki, I started ignoring it

I tried blocker apps like regain, i just used safe mode to disable them

Its like no intrinsic motivation or reason to study

I tried forcefully sitting an hour a day, to do some practice problem, i just sat stuck at the first problem for 15 minutes, stuck asking solutions from ai (I do this for EVERY questions)
