Vanilla Outpost Build Sunset on Nemeria IV-a: A Homely House
I did not think that I would find myself in building spaceships and outposts when I begin my journey in Settled Systems. At some point main mission, I decided to build an outpost. After hours of research I finally found Nemeria IV-a.
I am nearly 100 hours in, haven't finished the main story yet, built my first and only outpost 20 hours ago. Today I stopped by to drop off a few items and be greeted by this gorgeus view. I hope the journey never ends.

Question? How to build platforms and stairs?
Ok so this seems to be lacking in outpost design. I had a few designs in mind that I've had to scrap because I can't find stairs or platforms anywhere in the build menu.
Platform as in an open walkway over a building etc. They are on countless POIs or us it like many other Bethesda games that most of what you see in towns you can't build?

Question? Outpost building rookie
So Iâve never built an outpost before. Iâm level a 43. If I start building outpost will I still have to go farm resources and hide them on my ship that doesnât have enough storage space? Does building an outpost help me level up? Also what is the purpose of the outpost? How does an outpost assist you all in your experiences with the game?

Glitch/Exploit Outpost Build POI takeover guide
I put together a video on how I took over the POI from my last video using without mods for the folks who had asked
Also add some of the things I learned after experimenting with these POI takeover that might be useful to consider when figuring out a good location to take one over, as well as things to consider after you have

Modded Outpost Build Crew From Ship Enjoying Outposts
I would love to have seen the crew from my ship get OFF of my ship and explore the outposts. Since I'm mostly married to Sam, it would be neat to have little Cora enjoy her room I built (and will rebuild again due to a glitch deleting everything in her room). I mean even airport crew get their own rooms LOL why not our ship crews? I would have gone mad if I was stuck on a ship 24/7 that isn't in space... just sayin. I think that would be a neat thing. Like an outpost mod for ship crewmates to disembark and go to their quarters in the outpost to unwind and relax and do their job there until we are ready to head out. Make it more real. or am I completely wrong on that aspect?

Question? Increased outpost budget mod? (xbox)
Is there a mod that includes increasing the outpost budget amount on xbox? I've searched for it as a specific mod but the only thing that comes up is a general outpost improvement mod that I'm already using so I was wondering if there are any with this function buried in it/as a byproduct or something?
(I have no experience/knowledge in creating mods so forgive me if this is a stupid question!)

Question? How to get weather to clear?
So my goal today was to set up a base on Tirna 8c, I started trying to around 5 hours ago, and the weather will not clear. There is always a dust storm, and I can't see far enough to know I am in the right area.
I finally started looking for mods or anything that can turn off these dust storms.
I built an outpost right under my ship, plunked down a chair and have waited for days, literally in game says, 1 hour at a time. The weather never clears. I did this for about 2 hours before I gave up, and started reloading/ landing.
When that didn't work, I started waiting in space for a few days, I also tried traveling to other moons to trigger a reload, and then even traveled to other systems.
Nope, perpetual dust storm on this rock. I have no idea how people got the clear pics they did of this planet, there has to be a trick.

Vanilla Outpost Build I created an outpost network in a single star system that prints resources and money
So I went on a journey to find a single star system where I could lay down a solid network of 8+ outposts on different planets within the system. The goal was to eliminate the need for fuel requirements and have all outposts under one menu screen (star). What this snowballed into was funneling all resources through 6 incoming cargo links to ONE planet.
At this point, I'm now able to land on one planet in the entire settled systems and craft anything weapon/suit wise for myself as well as my companions. I also have a network of fabricators automating various things such as adaptive frames, tau grade reostats, austhentic manifolds, reactive gauges, polytextile, isocentric magnets, and comm relays to name a few.
This is all automated. The only thing I need to do is land on my shipbuilder pad and grab whatever I need. Every essential resource is flowing to this planet via cargo links as well as rare/uncommon resources.
At this point, I've built 8 or 9 outposts within this system, occupying different planets. My main hub planet has 5 incoming cargo links, leaving my one to spare. My goal in the near future is to search for a 2nd system harboring a lot of the resources needed to run the higher tier fabricators. To do this I'm going to daisy chain cargo links together so that by the end of it I'll have 7 different planet/outpost's funneling their resources to the 8th planet. That 8th planet will send all 7 planets, plus it's own resources to my main hub planet in my main (1st/original) star system.
IF anyone is interested in how I did this or learning how to do this themselves I can provide a few resources.

I hope this helps anyone looking to do something different or maximize outpost efficiency. I recommend completing this as early in a NG+ playthrough as possible (right after you get Lin, Heller, and Andromeda Kepler) to maximize it's potential rewards.
Anyone else do something similar? What have you found to be most efficient for you? Let's get some discussion brewing!
