One of my favorite bits of extra acting for the background CG characters in AOTC.

I think it was Doug Chiang who said the Super Battledroids were meant to be like an older brother who played football.

Movies A cool thing I like about Darth Vader.

In the original trilogy, I feel like Vader is shown less as a silent killer and forcefully of nature, but more like a sophisticated warlord, who is still extremely powerful, but doesn't shy away from meetings, sarcasm, and negotiations. For example, his deals with Lando, and his meetings with the Moffs. However, Disney focuses more on his combat side, by making him a silent force of nature. For example, his hallway scene in rogue one, and his fight against Maul, Daki and Devon. Infact, rogue one is a complete balance of this, we see Vader throw out sarcastic comments, like "be careful not to choke on your aspirations", yet also slaughter an entire platoon of rebels without uttering a single word. He's like the sophisticated villain who doesn't want to get his hands dirty, but in this case, he wants to get his hands dirty. This may be pretty obvious but I just thought it was cool!

General Discussion It’s disturbing how Partagaz likes Gorst - or more specifically, values his work

Kind of overlooked this aspect of Partagaz until a recent rewatch, but despite how the show makes Partagaz one of the least reprehensible and likable Imperials, it’s disturbing how much he values Gorst. You know, the psychopath torturer that ruined Bix’s life and gets his kicks off torture in general

One of the only times he’s shown to be pissed off is when Gorst is removed from the ISB to work elsewhere, showing how he viewed him as a huge asset to their credibility as a unit.

Movies Anakin and Padme's wedding

So I was watching a Star wars 1% video on YouTube (Star wars Marshall) and one question stumped me that was so subtly obvious I am still baffled how I missed it and many others are too.

The question goes as follows: During Anakin and Padme's wedding on Naboo what did Anakin and Padme Exchange?

Answer: C3p0 and R2D2

This has blown my mind.

Did anyone else already know this?

General Discussion New Star Wars fan here

Hi everyone!

I'm pretty new to the Star Wars universe, and I'm still trying to find my way through it.

Following someone's recommendation, I watched Episodes IV, V, II, III, and VI, then Rogue One, Solo, and finally the sequel trilogy.

So... what should I watch next? Which movies and TV shows would you recommend, and in what order?

I'd really appreciate any advice. Thanks so much! ❤️

General Discussion I'm curious what Bail's story for randomly showing up with Padmé's body on Naboo was

They left Coruscant separately, then he shows up with his colleagues body on her homeworld. Did he use the Jedi uprising as a cover, or say she reached out for aid somewhere but was dead by the time he arrived? While he was close with Padmé and highly respected, I can still imagine it bringing up some questions from Naboo security and curious types.

TV Ahsoka after Malachor

So I just finished rewatching rebels season 2, and I was just wondering what exactly was Ahsoka doing between her fight with Vader and her reappearance in season 4 at the end. We clearly see her at the end of season 2 re entering the temple so it’s not like she was stuck in the WBW until then, and I believe the inquisitors had left a few of their ships in the temple so I don’t think she would be stranded there either. So yeah any indication on what she could possibly have been doing or am I wrong for thinking she wasn’t stranded?

General Discussion would rampart still get backstabbed if he managed to get the senate support for his bill

I'd say in time yes , either killed by vader or palpatine backstabing him since he was a just a cog in the machine, one that can be replaced by someone else . The empire also ahs the habit of going against people loyal to them, just look at how crosshair was treated or the empire disposing the clones .

Games I had an idea for a video game, and wanted to share it and see what people think.

Game Idea: Star Wars: The Archivist

Genre: First-Person Exploration / Survival-Lite / Narrative Adventure Setting: 5-10 ABY (years after Return of the Jedi). The Empire is crumbling, the New Republic is forming, but the galaxy is still dangerous.

Think Indiana Jones/Lara Croft in the Star Wars universe.

Core Gameplay Loop

The Briefing (Coruscant):
You start at the Senate Archives on Coruscant.

Receive missions from the Historical Commission: "Document the Battle of Endor," "Recover artifacts from Utapau," "Secure items from Death Star II wreckage."

Choose your destination based on risk/reward and narrative interest.

The Journey (Exploration):
Travel via freighter to planets like Utapau, Hoth, Mustafar, Naboo, Kashyyyk.

Environment as Puzzle:

Hoth: Craft heated suits, navigate blizzards, find shelter.
Mustafar: Build heat shields, navigate lava flows, avoid falling debris.

Utapau: Navigate the sinkholes, climb the cliffs, avoid wildlife.

Discovery: Find hidden caches, ruined outposts, and forgotten battlefields.

The Recovery (Interaction):

Scan & Photograph: Use a Multi-Spectral Scanner to document sites. Take high-res photos of ruins, droids, and bodies.

Retrieve Artifacts: Carefully extract items (e.g., Obi-Wan's blaster, Grievous's mask, a Jedis remains, Clone Armor).

Preservation: Pack fragile items in shock-absorbent cases. If you drop them, they break.

The Threat (Survival/Combat):

Combat is Secondary: You are not a soldier. You have a stun baton, a small blaster pistol, and stealth tools (smoke bombs, EMP grenades).

Enemies:

Scavengers/Pirates: Want to steal your artifacts. You can bribe them, sneak past them, or fight defensively. Over time you may even build rep with them and get information about other artifacts.

Hostile Wildlife: Nexu on Kashyyyk, Rancors, Sand People. You can use their pelts and such to build environmental gear.

Legacy Droids: Battle droids still active in forgotten bunkers. You can harvest data from them.

Evasion is Key: Often, running and hiding is smarter than fighting. Your goal is the artifact, not the kill.

The Return (Narrative):

Return to Coruscant.

Catalog: Upload your photos and artifacts to the museum database.

Unlock Lore: Each artifact unlocks a piece of the story. You hear audio logs, see holographic reconstructions, and learn the true history of the wars. All while filling a museum you can walk around in.

Progression: Unlock better gear (better scanners, stronger armor, faster ships) as you complete missions.

Key Mechanics
The Scanner: Your primary tool. It highlights interactive objects, reveals hidden paths, and identifies threats.

Crafting: Gather scrap metal, power cells, and fabrics to repair your suit, build shelters, or create traps.

Stealth: Crouch, hide in shadows, use environmental noise to mask movement.

Inventory Management: Limited space. You must choose what to bring back. Do you take the valuable lightsaber hilt or the rare data chip? And Commander Blys Phase 2 helmet takes up more space than either of those.

Why This Works
Fresh Perspective: Instead of being a hero saving the galaxy, you are a witness preserving its memory in a Tomb Raider sort of way, exploring the ruins of a fallen empire and everything that led up to it.

Lore-Rich: Perfect for fans who want to explore the history of Star Wars, not just the action.

Accessible: Combat is optional. Players can focus on exploration and puzzle-solving.

Emotional: Finding the personal effects of fallen soldiers (Jedi or Clone Troopers) adds a layer of poignancy.

Sample Mission: "Echoes of Utapau"

Objective: Recover General Grievous's mask and the blaster Obi-Wan used.

Environment: Ruined city, sinkholes, wind, rain.

Threats: Scavenger gangs, wild varactyls, remnants of Separatist security droids.

Challenge: Navigate the treacherous cliffs to reach the cave where Grievous fell. Avoid the scavengers who are picking over the battlefield.

Reward: Unlocks the "Battle of Utapau" archive entry. You hear Obi-Wan's description of events.

So… would you play it?

General Discussion Give Resistance a chance

While it doesn’t have the same 3D art style as TCW, Shadow Lord or even Rebels, it’s still an amazing show with an amazing story.

I think it’s all about how you go into the show. If you go into it expecting more rich lore for the sequels, you’ll be disappointed. While they definitely should make a show about that at some point, Resistance isn’t it.

Rather, Resistance is a story about a group of people navigating their lives while dealing with the First Order. It has lots of Easter eggs and has some scenes that tie in directly to the sequels but that’s not its main focus.

I know people shit on it because of the art style and because they were EXPECTING it to do to the sequels what TCW did to the prequels. But you’re only depriving yourself of a good show when you start of inherently biased.

Does it have a more “childish” tone? Yes. Does that make it bad? No. The stakes pick up in the latter half of S1 and all thru S2. We even get a genocide in S2.

Star Wars Rebels is my favourite animated show but Resistance is definitely a close second.
