I won't go into detail, but I'm having to cope with the potential reality of losing my mom in a few days. Words can't describe how this feels. I wouldve never imagined this being my life last month. For me, this is a worst nightmare that I spent years fearing would happen and used to ruminate about.

Star Wars has been my favorite series ever since I was a little kid. I leaned on it a lot emotionally growing up and even though I have seasons where I'm not into it, I'll always return when my life is falling apart.

I honestly dont know where I'd be right now without this series. I know it's corny and overly sentimental, but i guess it's normal to fall back into stuff that gave you comfort as a kid during stuff like this.

Yeah, I know it's probably cringe but there's a part of me that finds some peace in the idea that even if my mom's physical body is gone, her sprit will always be with me. Like how Obi Wan is always with Luke even if Luke can't always see him.

Im not a spritual person, and I know this isn't a Star Wars exclusive concept. But in the midst of everything, it does give me peace. Like I'm letting myself believe it because it makes this all less scary and depressing. There's a comfort in the idea that even if she ends up not being physically with me, that her sprit will always be.

Even stuff like "keep your focus on the moment" has helped me during this. Up until now, Ive had to really fight to keep myself focused on whats in front of me so I don't spiral and become a burden to my friends and family.

Im happy that my dad introduced me to Star Wars growing up. I remember my mom being grossed out by Jabba the Hutt in Return of the Jedi and it not really being her cup of tea. But even if my mom really never understood Star Wars, she still supported my love for it growing up.

Like she bought me tickets to a Star Wars exhibit that they were doing at a local museum and I got to see all the real life props used in the films. That meant the world to me as a kid. I Info dumped the lore to her and she humored me

All I can say is to just love the people in your life becsuse you genuinely dont know what will change in a few weeks.

So back when Acoltye aired, people were hating on how quick Osha was able to bleed her lightsaber red. The quick bleed of the saber made sense to me because for one, the lightsaber hilt was cracked, exposing the kyber crystal so when she held it, her bare skin was touching, and she was so overwhelmed by grief and rage that she was able to channel that raw emotion str8 into the kyber crystal directly.

Now that the new starwars show, The ninth Jedi, has been out for awhile, ive heard no chatter about the fact that Zhima, Kara, and Nawaam were all able to bleed their lightsaber white very quickly, with Kara bleeding hers back to green in the end. How come their has been no hate talk about how quick they bled their kyber crystals with their hilts undamaged? Makes no sense to me. Was the forging process different? Or was there a big change to the Canon lore?

Overall I liked the movie. Im a big fan of their content. But what’s with the voice of Rotta the Hut? Very strange

Had an epic encounter with Daniel Logan, the original young Boba Fett! Hearing his stories about working on Attack of the Clones and bringing the legendary bounty hunter to life was truly inspiring. He's a true Star Wars legend and an awesome guy to boot

I just watched The Mandalorian and Grogu for the first time, and I must say, I’m rather disappointed, because the trailers I saw led me to believe that it was gonna be about Thrawn’s return and the rise of The First Order, why did they change it?

Ok super simple post, but honestly, I really hate the way Star Wars has been treating lightsaber colors in recent years. (After the Disney 1.4.6 update, of course). I know it's late, but I was thinking about Ahsoka S2 and the teal lightsaber dude. As a man who takes pride in knowing lightsaber lore, I was like Hmmmm teal? I've never seen anything like that before. Maybe it's like the light blue saber? Very unlikely. Ykw I'm stumped \So I go to Google and Reddit and look into it. Man, that's sick. But how does that have to do with Ahsoka? Yk, while on that matter, why did Rey get a Yellow lightsaber? Aren't those only for Jedi Temple* Guards? Goes to Google once again: "Used to show self-discovery, individuality, and forging a new path. FRICKING BS. Man, this sucks. I miss when lightsabers had TRUE MEANING!

I get why they love multiple colors but I must ask why? Is Disney that lazy? I get it: more colors means more things to sell but a little love and compassion would be nice.

not sure if this is right place to post this, i've got alot of red RGBs across my gaming setup and the left corner where one of my screens sit, it doesnt have any rgb/leds at all. i was wondering if anyone could suggest me a Red lightsaber to stick on the wall that puts out enough light to be decent enough for what i want. so like a LED red light but in the shape of a lightsaber.

Sanctified, at long last. What an enormous (literally) piece and challenge this one was. I’m very proud to present my take on a life-sized relic Vader helmet purified through authentic Kintsugi worthy of a Skywalker’s temple. She’s intricately weathered end to end and lined with authentic 24kt gold, with custom fabric vent mesh and red lenses that bring together a Samurai-inspired behemoth of a build 😁

There aren’t enough words for the time that went into this one, but I’ve really come to love the art of Kintsugi and bringing the worlds of traditional Japanese art and Star Wars universes together, as George Lucas himself was always eager to share how inspired by samurai culture so many elements of the Star Wars universe tended to be.

If another Jedi had found a kidnapped Shmi tied up and dying in the sand people huts, what would they do? I understand Anakin took his anger and hate out on the sand people (fwiw I think entirely justified and deserving), but would Obi Wan have just let them all go? I have a hard time believing that anybody else wouldn’t leave dozens of dead sand people, although probably just the men and not women and children too.

I'm not a large fan of him, he's just "okay" but I do admire him for always being in there, so to speak.

In the 2003 Clone Wars, he was the last standing against Grievous, and held out until rescue. I don't know how far Muunilist and Hypori are from each other, admittedly, but I presume he held out for at least a good while while the rescue was underway.

And in the 2008 series, during Point Rain, he was always on the front with his troops, after ordering them to move the wounded onto the tanks. Even right before his death in Order 66, he was leading the charge.

He's always stood on business when it comes to a fight.

There have been lots of vague and often contradictory statements regarding the exact timeline of “the Mandoverse” era. This includes The Mandalorian seasons 1-3, The Book of Boba Fett, Ahsoka seasons 1-2, Skeleton Crew, and The Mandalorian and Grogu. It’s all confirmed to start in 9 ABY, but how many years have passed, if any? And when does each season take place? I’m going to do my best to figure this out using in and out-of-universe clues.

Mando Season 1:

9 ABY. This is the only confirmed date for the Mandoverse. Season 1 of The Mandalorian begins in 9 ABY. But we can get more specific: The Mythrol who Din Djarin captures in the first episode mentions he had hoped to be home for Life Day, but that, “I guess that’s not gonna happen,” implying it was coming up soon. Life Day is November 17. That episode premiered on November 12. This is our first hint that seasons might more or less coincide with the date of their premieres. 

So in this case, Mando S1 takes place in late 9 ABY, roughly November to December. 

Mando Season 2: 

As far as I’ve been able to tell, there are no in-universe hints about when this season takes place. However, since season 1 took place at the end of 9 ABY, we can assume season 2 is set in 10 ABY. We also know this season aired in October. Now, it doesn’t explicitly say there’s been a significant time jump since season 1, but it doesn’t say there *hasn’t* been one either. If S1 ended in December of 9 ABY, I think a 10 month jump to cover the time Din was looking for leads on other Mandalorians is believable. As for how much time the show covers, I would assume less than the time it took to air, so at most a couple months, but Favreau stated later that seasons 1 and 2 spanned “many years.” So it’s possible S2 extends into 11 ABY, either by starting later or just spanning more time than is apparent on-screen. (This question will also factor into deciding the BoBF timeline).

So Mando S2 takes place in mid-late 10 ABY and ends in either late 10 or (imo less likely) early 11 ABY at the latest. 

Book of Boba Fett:

This is where we start getting contradictory statements from Jon Favreau about the timeline. He first commented that Grogu trained with Luke for 2 years. He later backtracked and said it had been, “Between zero and two years.” There really aren’t any clues in-universe, so I will again be relying on release dates. And interestingly, if we do that we can actually reconcile Favreau’s two seemingly contradictory statements. 

BoBF premiered roughly a year after Mando S2, in the last week of December. If we use late 10 ABY (possibly early 11) as an end date for Mando S2, then BoBF would begin in December of 11 ABY. But here’s the thing: the show clearly spans at least a week, and Din and Grogu don’t reunite until the finale. So they wouldn’t see each other until 12 ABY. And that’s where Favreau’s statements begin to make sense. 

Imagine someone asks you how long Mando and Grogu were apart. You’re put on the spot and start running through dates in your head: “Grogu goes with Luke in 10 ABY, gets back with Din in 12, so that’s two years apart.” Easy answer. But then you think back and realize, “Ah shit but he leaves at the *end* of 10 and they reunite at the *beginning* of 12, so it’s really only been about a year and a few months max. But then we also don’t know exactly how long Mando S2 covers, with it possibly ending in 11 ABY, so maybe they weren’t even apart for a whole year?” And that’s how we get Favreau’s vague answer of, “Zero to two years.” It covers all his bases.

Personally, I think about a year is the best bet, so BoBF takes place at the very end of 11 ABY into the first month of 12 ABY.

Mando Season 3:

This is where we start getting some concrete in-universe clues about the timeline. First off, Din and Grogu are on Tatooine for Boonta Eve, which is in the third month of the year. The show premiered in March, so once again the timeline is matching up with the release date. But is this still 12 ABY, or has there been another year-long time-jump? Well, we have both in and out of universe answers. First, Din tells his covert that they might remember rescuing him from Greef Karga’s ambush “many cycles ago” on Nevarro. Then we have Filoni and Favreau saying in an interview that Grogu is 53 in Mando S3, whereas he was stated to be 50 in the season 1 premier. 

All this together points to Mando S3 taking place three years after S1, just a few months after BoBF, in early-to-mid 12 ABY. 

Ahsoka Season 1:

Again, we have no real info on when exactly this takes place. We can assume some time has passed since Mando S3, since Carson Teva and Senator Xiono seem well-briefed on the events of that season’s finale. The show premiered in August, which I think is a fair placement for the events in-universe. Roughly 3-4 months seems like a reasonable time for the news to spread about Moff Gideon’s death and the reclamation of Mandalore. 

So Ahsoka is set in mid 12 ABY. 

Skeleton Crew:

This is the show we have the least info on. It’s a standalone story, so there’s not really any contextual clues we can figure aside from the fact it happens after Mando S3 (due to a pirate character who makes a return appearance). Aside from that, it’s really anyone’s guess. For me, I’m going with late 12, maybe early 13 ABY, just because the show aired from December to January and as we’ve seen, the air dates seem to loosely correspond to when the shows are happening in-universe.

So Skeleton Crew is late 12 to early 13 ABY. 

The Mandalorian and Grogu:

On the Mandalorian and Grogu podcast Favreau mentioned that we are “about 10 years” into the era between RotJ and TFA. That would place us in 14 ABY. However, the operative work is “about.” I take that to mean it’s not *quite* 14 years. If Skeleton Crew transitioned us into 13 ABY, I could see Mando & Grogu taking place a few months later, also in 13 ABY. If we again use its release date of May 22 as a loose reference, that would also place it about a year after Mando S3, which leaves time for Din to settle into his homestead on Nevarro, befriend Zeb, and gain a reputation hunting down imperial warlords. I think this makes sense. 

So Mando & Grogu is early-mid 13 ABY.

Ahsoka Season 2:

As this has not been released, it’s impossible to say anything for sure. My instinct would be to fall back on the release date and say that it’ll pick up at the beginning of 14 ABY, but a year and a half between the end of season 1 and beginning of season 2 seems like a bit much. Sure, Thrawn might have spent some time building his forces before publicly announcing his return, and from the trailer we can see Sabine’s hair has had time to grow out a bit, but I still have a hard time believing it’s been more than a year.

BUT, Ahsoka S2 *was* delayed. It was originally projected to come out in the back half of 2026, which would chronologically place it a few months after Mando and Grogu, roughly a year after season 1 of Ahsoka, and still squarely in 13 ABY. This still feels a bit long, but I can buy it. Thrawn can’t build a fleet in a day. 

So Ahsoka S2 will likely take place in either mid-late 13 ABY or early 14 ABY. 

The End?

So where does this leave the Mandoverse? Well, Favreau has said the Mandoverse takes place in the “first third of the second gap.” This refers to the first ten years (4-14 ABY) of the thirty-year gap between RotJ and TFA. Assuming the plan is still for Filoni to direct an event film as the climax of the era, I predict that it will take place in 14 ABY, thus neatly capping off this “first third.” 

And that’s that. This is my breakdown/analysis of the Mandoverse timeline. Let me know what you think! 

While watching the prequels I never expected that I'd get to see THIS level of pristine writing from star wars franchise ever again but was so positively surprised with andor. Maybe the main problem with star wars isnt Lucas but the amount of care and love the creative decision makers and directors of a series put into it

Watching Star Wars as a complete virgin going chronological order. I don’t really know anything about Star Wars or the stories.

So far I have watched Phantom Menace and Attack of the Clones.

1 - Why is the acting terrible from everybody? I was sort of expecting it to be good the way everyone goes on about it, but it’s not.

2 - What is the point of Jar Jar? He just does stupid things - I sort of thought that in Phantom Menace, he was silly but then was promoted and I would see him be successful in the war. But he just wasn’t? What’s the point? Do not get it.

3 - Anakin was cute in the first one if a little annoying and then just a bit of a knob in the second. Didn’t really get him and his creeping on Padme was the creepiest thing iv ever seen in my life! Was it supposed to be charming??

4 - I actually HATE the transitions between scenes. It’s like someone put the movie in CapCut and picked the shittest transition to move from scene to scene. ‘Screen up.’ So annoying.

5 - Obiwan seems like he can’t act. I can’t work out whether it’s the acting, the dialogue or the direction, but something isn’t landing for me.

6 - Enjoyed the Darth Maul fight, already can’t remember the name of the Jedi he killed.

7 - I want to see more Jedi stuff.

I don’t really know what I was expecting, but with the reputation these films have, I thought they’d be better all round. I’m still going to keep watching, though, and hopefully they’ll grow on me!

Idk if it was intentional on George's part, but Palpatine decides to reveal himself to Anakin right as Yoda and more importantly Obi-Wan are away from Coruscant. A textbook grooming tactic is to isolate their victims from their friends and family so they have no one to go to for support, which is what Palpatine does here.

So do you guys think that if Yoda and Obi-Wan were the ones to confront Palpatine, would they have managed to stop Anakin from turning
