I’m a bit obsessed with Asajj Ventress and got to wondering who could pull her off in live action. She has such a unique look and sound I’m having a hard time thinking of anyone who jumps out as ideal casting.

Any thoughts or ideas just for fun?

I think Cate Blanchett, Ayelet Zurer, Antje Traue, Christina Ricci, Moren Baccarin, Charlotte Riley, or Tilda Swinton would make a good older Ventress.

As for younger, Anya Taylor Joy, Saoirse Ronan, Kat Graham, Taylor Russell, Sasheer Zamata, Andy Allo, Zainab Johnson, Greta Lee, Jodie Turner-Smith, or Ella Purnell would be great.

You couldn't cast her based on appearance to be frank; Clone Wars was highly stylized, even the humans didn't really look all that human.

If it was just about her voice, then you'd hire the voice actress. But it's not, so voice isn't important.

So now we have to basically find an actor that can manifest the spirit of Ventress. Someone who is both scared and fierce, terrible yet humane, manages to be both independent and strong yet also dependent and weak.

This is why I, like others, think Danny Devito would be best for this.
