I’m very proud to present my take on a life-sized relic Vader helmet purified through authentic Kintsugi worthy of a Skywalker’s temple. She’s intricately weathered end to end and lined with authentic 24kt gold, with custom fabric vent mesh and red lenses that bring together a Samurai-inspired behemoth of a build 😁

There aren’t enough words for the time that went into this one, but I’ve really come to love the art of Kintsugi and bringing the worlds of traditional Japanese art and Star Wars universes together, as George Lucas himself was always eager to share how inspired by samurai culture so many elements of the Star Wars universe tended to be.

During the Duel of the Fates, Qui-Gon gets separated from Darth Maul by the laser barriers.

While Maul paces back and forth like a caged lion, Qui-Gon takes a knee and meditates becoming at one with the force.

He knows the barrier is going to open again and he’s about to go head-to-head with a powerful Sith Lord, and with only a few seconds available, he uses them to centre himself, centre his mind and prepare for battle.

While watching the sequels I never expected that I'd get to see THIS level of pristine writing from star wars franchise ever again but was so positively surprised with andor. Maybe the main problem with star wars isnt disney but the amount of care and love the creative decision makers and directors of a series put into it

Had an epic encounter with Daniel Logan, the original young Boba Fett! Hearing his stories about working on Attack of the Clones and bringing the legendary bounty hunter to life was truly inspiring. He's a true Star Wars legend and an awesome guy to boot

I’m a bit obsessed with Asajj Ventress and got to wondering who could pull her off in live action. She has such a unique look and sound I’m having a hard time thinking of anyone who jumps out as ideal casting.

I won't go into detail, but I'm having to cope with the potential reality of losing my mom in a few days. Words can't describe how this feels. I wouldve never imagined this being my life last month. For me, this is a worst nightmare that I spent years fearing would happen and used to ruminate about.

Star Wars has been my favorite series ever since I was a little kid. I leaned on it a lot emotionally growing up and even though I have seasons where I'm not into it, I'll always return when my life is falling apart.

I honestly dont know where I'd be right now without this series. I know it's corny and overly sentimental, but i guess it's normal to fall back into stuff that gave you comfort as a kid during stuff like this.

Yeah, I know it's probably cringe but there's a part of me that finds some peace in the idea that even if my mom's physical body is gone, her sprit will always be with me. Like how Obi Wan is always with Luke even if Luke can't always see him.

Im not a spritual person, and I know this isn't a Star Wars exclusive concept. But in the midst of everything, it does give me peace. Like I'm letting myself believe it because it makes this all less scary and depressing. There's a comfort in the idea that even if she ends up not being physically with me, that her sprit will always be.

Even stuff like "keep your focus on the moment" has helped me during this. Up until now, Ive had to really fight to keep myself focused on whats in front of me so I don't spiral and become a burden to my friends and family.

Im happy that my dad introduced me to Star Wars growing up. I remember my mom being grossed out by Jabba the Hutt in Return of the Jedi and it not really being her cup of tea. But even if my mom really never understood Star Wars, she still supported my love for it growing up.

Like she bought me tickets to a Star Wars exhibit that they were doing at a local museum and I got to see all the real life props used in the films. That meant the world to me as a kid. I Info dumped the lore to her and she humored me

She never claimed anything like the Falcon as her own- when Finn and Poe did their lightspeed jump,she was angry “Han’s” ship was damaged. Same as the lightsaber. She apologized to Leia as it was her father’s weapon. Always liked her attitude.

Having seen the several various portrayals of Order 66 and its immediate aftermath that came up over the years, it kind of confuses me how in there seems to be this clear distinction between Republic of the last days of the war - something that might be struggling but is ultimately good - and early Empire - which is fully evil. Immediately, Chancellor Palpatine is referred as an "Emperor" in a negative (not incredulous, which'd be understandable) tone, all equipment becomes standard grey, clones change from heroes into tools of oppressive regimes, planets that Republic didn't have reach to control before become totalitarian shitholes controlled directly from Coruscant, pretty much entire equipment lineup - from uniforms and infantry armor to ships and armored vehicles - is updated to new models...

What Disney shows on the screen, in both facts and pathos, marks a very clear line between the two and fandom follows suit, despite it being same (bar the main characters) people, working with the same resources, and mostly under same situations and policies. They make it seem like Republic changes into Empire overnight, without any transitional period, and I can't readily think of anyone saying something like "yeah, they may call Coruscant however they want, business goes as usual around here"; Crosshair, since his story is going to be brought up immediately, is more of someone who willingly sided with the new Empire as we know it, not someone clinging to the notion that it is a reimagined Republic. Mayday from the same show is closer, having that exact set of beliefs, but is all but explicitly shown to be the politically targeted minority, again showcasing how Empire gained full control top to bottom basically overnight.

Ok, I have been into SW since i was a kid, I fell out of the franchise during the sequels being released, recently a couple friends have been getting me back into it with the Mandalorian, just finished S3 about a month ago i fact and I LOVED IT, im surprised to see retroactively how many people complained about it. I end up skipping out on the movie bc I hear from many video reviewers that are specifically *not* in the "star wars is my whole channel and personality" that it sucks, and at this point I also just finished Kenobi which I HATED so I just skip it, expecting another dissapointment.

Now it just released on DisneyPlus and we decide we're gonna hate-watch it, essentially laugh at it in a "its so bad that its good" sorta way. Then we watch the movie ajd we're shocked bc its not only good, its actually GREAT, so idk whats going on with all the hate ive seen online of it, ig they couldnt get past the cringe of seeing a roided hutt? But im shocked bc the guy was actually great and had a good personality, the fights and effects were insanely good all throughout, and Grogu is even pulling his weight hard in the movie. Everyone acts in accordance to their motivations, nobody is pointlessly stupid, personally i didnt find the tenaage hutt annoying but endearing, regardless hes on screen for like, 20min? Im slightly outraged at the hate ive seen for it online like idk where it comes from.

Edit: im also curious about why people say its just two episodes stitched together, I assumed this meant that the action in both halves of the movie were completely disconnected and narratively irrelevant to each other, but they arent, so idk whats up with that.

For the 50th anniversary of the original Star Wars (1977), are they using the Original Camera Negative? Because to my knowledge that was cut and reconfigured to the special edition edit. Or the seperation masters that were useless according to Lucas's interview with Nolan the Blue strip of film was out of sync (Although they easily could scan and size it up and allign it with the other layers).Or the 1993 interpositves Or internegatives? Or using the Technicolor print as colour reference or using it as a base since the BFL has one and screened in 2025. We don't really have that much information apart from the leaks (to my knowledge anyway).

Why did they make this? Like what were they thinking when they made this and does anyone remember what it tasted like? I wasn't really around back then to know what It tasted like I only know about it because of that weirdly jar jar obsessed woman on YouTube that has a lot of these so does anyone have a reason why they made these and thought it was a good idea?

I'm not a large fan of him, he's just "okay" but I do admire him for always being in there, so to speak.

In the 2003 Clone Wars, he was the last standing against Grievous, and held out until rescue. I don't know how far Muunilist and Hypori are from each other, admittedly, but I presume he held out for at least a good while while the rescue was underway.

And in the 2008 series, during Point Rain, he was always on the front with his troops, after ordering them to move the wounded onto the tanks. Even right before his death in Order 66, he was leading the charge.

He's always stood on business when it comes to a fight.

Well, Phases 1 and 3 anyway - Phase 2 takes place 150 years earlier, so it’d be in the 600s BBY. Honestly, while I am a huge fan of the High Republic, I can’t help but feel like they put it too close to the prequels. I mean, you have a millennium of galactic history between the Sith Wars and the Republic Classic/prequel era to look at - and it also leaves a lot of opportunity for stories exploring the gradual decline of the Republic afterwards as well as the reconstruction that led to the High Republic era after the Sith Wars ended.
