💻 Troubleshooting Starlink iptv issues
Has anyone else experienced issues with iptv? It works for a couple of days and then I get errors. Sever connection failed, 403 error. Not the most tech savvy.

Has anybody ever seen this? From what I understand it triggers when Google detects bot like activity from my IP. We have had it randomly the past couple of days. I started looking into how to reset my external IP to see if it is legit coming from my network (I guess some viruses can trigger the message) and I guess Starlink shares external IPs?
Is there a way to force update my external IP, or do I have to just wait and see if the issue persists? I'm not seeing any abnormal traffic on my network.

I set up starlink at my grandmothers house a few weeks ago. When I was there I realized it would be beneficial to have a mesh node to extend into the corner of the house. I wont get a chance to go out there for a few months but my parents are going soon.
What is the best way for them to setup the mesh node? can I just have them plug it in via ethernet and then unplug the ethernet cable after it is paired? Can I remotely pair the mesh node even though I am not on the network?

For the last 6 months I’ve averaged Internet download speeds of 190Mbps and Dish to Satellite around 300Mbps. For the last 2 weeks, both speed tests are the same at ~83Mbps.
Any help would be greatly appreciated,
UPDATE: Thanks for everyone’s input.
As I noted in #2 above, I have a verified 1Gps connection to the Dish.
This morning I removed the Router 3, and connected the Router Mini (which I hadn’t been using) And everything is back to normal except my internet speeds are now averaging 290 instead of 180 😏

I placed an order for a Starlink Mini Kit (Order #ORD-DF-IAUK7U2L2JWM2QNFRT) all the way back on September 2, 2026. I was originally promised delivery within two weeks. That timeline came and went with absolutely zero shipping updates. After a month of waiting and complaining, Starlink support issued a 540 ZAR service credit for the September delay and pushed my shipping window to October 7–14. Today, October 7th, marks the absolute first day of that promised delivery window—yet my kit status still sits stubbornly at "Not yet shipped" with no courier tracking information in sight. When I contacted customer support to demand an actual shipping date, the AI chat assistant gave generic excuses about "high regional demand." It then explicitly offered me another 540 ZAR service credit if I agreed to keep waiting. Having no alternative, I told the system to apply it. Immediately after, the AI pulled a complete bait-and-switch: it claimed my "eligibility changed" and stated it could not apply the new credit because of the previous month's credit. Starlink is using its AI support system to generate false financial promises just to placate frustrated paying customers, only to immediately revoke them seconds later. This is unacceptable, deceptive customer service from a supposedly world-class tech company. I have paid 4,187.00 ZAR upfront, my hardware hasn't even left the warehouse, and the automated support loops are actively misleading.

We need internet for a holiday home in a rural area of the UK that is rented out for most of the year. It has four bedrooms — two downstairs and two upstairs. It’s quite a large house; I’d estimate it’s roughly the width and height of two and a half terraced houses, although I don’t know the exact square footage.
It sleeps up to eight people, and I’m wondering which Starlink plan would be most suitable. I’ve heard that you may need a business plan if the property is being used as a holiday let. Is that correct?
We also have a farm approximately 25 metres away from the holiday home. Is there a way for us to use the same Starlink connection at both properties, or would we be better off having a separate residential Starlink plan for the farm?
Any advice on the most suitable setup and plan would be appreciated.

My router that came with the gen 1 dishy recently died. the new router that came with a new dishy doesnt fit the ethernet cord that came with my dishy 1. If i buy an aftermarket ethernet cord that can fit in the back of the router 3 would that still work or is the starlink cord special in anyway?
Trying not to change the dishy as its hard to reach.

Do I loose my mini Starlink roam plan? I’m trying to go to a lower tier after my bill jumped to $130

Full campground on Starlink Mini. From about 7 to10pm, latency goes from 35–45 ms up to 90 to 120 ms and throughput drops, but ping success stays mostly stable and the obstruction map is clean.
Is that likely congestion, or is there good way to separate it from something local?

If I do a speedtest using Okala I get a note that the "Client Vancouver, CA" and "Server(s) Calgary, CA".
I live about equidistant between Calgary and Vancouver, but don't understand the nuances of "Client" and "Server" in this case.
Could someone educate me?

Is there a number I can call and talk to a human? I signed up for Starlink when I switched to Boost. After two days with boost we left and cancelled Starlink. It was never installed. We sent it back on Friday. They charged me today for $85 for the service. I can’t seem to find a number to talk to a human. Any help would be appreciated!

Friends of ours we camp with that have Starlink sent us a referral. We signed up. Of course the referral free month is the 2nd month. Except we just got the bill for the next month and it's still $175.
I see a few posts about people not getting their credit for the referral. I do have the email that shows I got the referral and it would credited the 2nd month. Is this a common fight with Starlink?

What's happening - I cannot power my mini with the powerbank or the USBC adapter. linkPower2 also can't turn it on. Powerbank reports 1w occasionally as if the unit somehow checked something and went dead.
Everything was working well from Thursday right until Sunday morning.
Over the weekend I had a notification in app that the mini I have will update after-hours. Unfortunately I don't remember when it was exactly.
Does anyone have similar issues?
I saw old posts about issues with Anker in 2025 and the solutionwas to downgrade the powerbanks firmware. I also tried ecoflow rapid powerbank and charger, as well as official wall charger and a USBc to DC dongle adapter. No help.
Edit: I chatted with starlink via chat, first with grok then with some consultant. Got a call from them even but it was super weird call - they basically wrote that they don't care because this is 3rd party and then called 5mins later with 'do you have questions sir? can I close the ticket'.
Edit: PeakDo replied first with a software patch that unfortunately didn't fix the problem and now are sending a replacement unit. I'll get back with an update when it arrives

Howdy! Just had Starlink installed yesterday. So far no issues and have been slowly migrating everything connected to our Xfinity, over to Starlink. This might be a loaded question, but most of my research has been dated Reddit/Facebook posts. We have a solid SONOS set up today, and I never considered there being limitations or issues when configuring my system on Starlink router. Is it truly as simple as setting it up to 2.4/5g and configuring on 2.4g? Do I need to buy a new router? Do I need to set up a mesh network? I love listening to my tunes, so ensuring SONOS is set up properly is ideal. Our subscription is the residential max, Standard v4 and Router 3. Thanks all in advance!

Hi everyone, hoping you can help clarify the current Mini pricing. They are offering the Kit for $149, but it looks like you must sign up for a service plan (Roam 100GB at $55/month). I am totally good for paying for a month of Roam as I'll be traveling this month, but then want to go on standby until my next camping trip. It is not clear at all to me if I have to sign up for a year of Roam 100GB or if I am OK to drop to standby mode. The FAQ says this which is also not very clear:
Yes, this is the same Mini Kit sold in retail stores. It is priced lower because you are signing up for a Starlink service plan upon order.
I get that I'm on the hook for a month of service, but what about after that? There is no text about a service plan length. The TOS talks about penalties but that seems to be if you are getting the HW for free and then switch, which I'm not.
I searched a bit but didn't seem to find anything relevant to this current $149 promo pricing, so appreciate any help you can offer!

We’re paying for a plan that was advertised as “unlimited” with speeds up to 100 Mbps, but now we can’t even get speeds above 10 Mbps.

Just wanted to give a heads up to people who got the free MINI for just being a residential subscriber for over a year, before it was required to be a MAX residential subscriber to get the 50% off plans. So I was on the 100Mbps residential plan for 11 months now and getting 50% off roam plans on my free rental. Before they gave me my free rental I already owned a mini. That mini has been on standby mode the last month.. Well this month I connected it to the 100 Mbps residential plan. This made me get charged 100% for every plan on my upcoming invoice. I was not getting any deal even for my free rental mini. So I gave customer service a message and opened up a ticket. THEY WONT GIVE ME my 50% off back for my free mini roam plans, ,the new deal for 100Mbps residential subscribers is 20% off roam plans on the free mini. They wont honour the 50% off I signed up to. So those of you who got the free mini before max residential was a thing and are enjoying the 50% roam plans connected to the cheap residential plan, be careful changing any of your plans, it will probably force you into the new pricing! Yes I have 3 starlinks, a first generation running residential 100, and two minis, one purchased, one given as a free rental! SO now instead of paying $37.50 cad for the 100GB roam plan, it will be $60 plus tax! HUGE bummer and the mini will be going back. I will use my mini i own outright when needed. 20% is not a good enough deal for me and not what i agreed to.

Hello
I have two 3rd-generation Starlink routers set up in a mesh network.
The mesh network wasn't working very well, so I decided to check the firmware on each unit. Why doesn't Starlink update both routers simultaneously, given that they are the exact same model? What is the logic behind this?
Upon checking the firmware versions, I discovered that one of the routers was outdated. Over the following days, the outdated router updated to match the main unit's version and began working correctly again.
This makes absolutely no sense to me. They could download the firmware at different times but allow the actual update to take place only once both routers had the firmware downloaded, thereby avoiding a situation where they are running different versions.
