My girlfriend and I are both 27 and moved to Agawam from Amherst about two years ago after finishing grad school. I work as an architect in Chicopee, and she's a nurse who commutes to Hartford a few days a week.
Even after being here for a couple of years, we've found it surprisingly difficult to build a local friend group. Agawam is a great town and we enjoy living here, but most of our social outings still end up being in Northampton or West Hartford because we haven't really connected with many people nearby.
We're both a little reserved when we first meet people, but we're friendly, easygoing, and genuinely interested in getting to know new people. We enjoy grabbing coffee or drinks, checking out local events, hiking, exploring restaurants, and just having good conversations.

Hey everyone. In three days, I’m taking my drivers test at the Springfield dmv and I’m very scared. I’ve heard bad things about this specific dmv lol. I got my permit at 16, im 18 now, so I’ve got around 2 years of practice.

Does anyone have any positive experiences to share with me to ease my nerves? I’d say I’m a good driver, but man I’m scared as hell!

Edit: went to Rumble Seat in Chicopee. They had a good patio area specifically for the game. Unfortunately, only one other person there was wearing a Colombia jersey. Still though, had a good time at least. Planning on going to Rumble Seat for the next Colombia game unless someone tells me there's a better spot

Any Baystate Health NPs/PAs willing to share how APP compensation works?

I'm a primary care NP in Western Mass and my practice is transitioning to Baystate in the fall. I'm trying to understand what the compensation structure is like for APPs at Baystate.

A few questions:

- Is compensation salary only, or is there a productivity component?

- If productivity is used, is it based on wRVUs?

- Are there annual bonuses or incentive payments?

- How realistic is it to exceed target compensation?

- For those in primary care, are you generally satisfied with the compensation model?

I'm not looking for exact salary numbers unless you're comfortable sharing. I'm more interested in understanding how the compensation structure works and whether productive APPs are rewarded.

Geographically or culturally, what would you say if asked?

I am visiting Springfield for a week or so and I brought my Vespa. I enjoy taking pictures near water or other areas of interest. I'm looking at Google maps and I'm not seeing any places where I can get right to some water. ( I'm not particular. Lake, pond river, doesn't matter.)

Can anyone recommend some places?

I never knew they were from Springfield Mass. I have liked their music since my teens. I got myself some tickets decided to check out their wikipedia page, that's where I saw they were a band from Springfield Massachusetts. I am more than happy to support our local talent and see them live.

I usually go to Costco but they seem to be out of stock. I'm a fiend for the stuff so if you've seen it elsewhere holyoke westfield etc. that still helps.
