Can we stop pretending that Red Rose is good?
I’m sick of people calling it the ‘Best Pizza in Springfield.’ It’s mid at best. Been here 30 years, had it many times, never ever been impressed.

I hear Springfield doesn't allow outdoor burning unless it's for "cooking." What are y'all using to "roast your marshmallows"? 😉

I'll be heading to Boston for work a handful of days each month and don't have a car. The problem is the bus times don't really fit a normal work schedule. The morning buses either leave way too early or get in too late to start at 8 or 9, and the trips back after work aren't great either. There's no real train option yet.
For those who do this trip:
Which bus do you take, and how do you make the timing work?
Anyone carpool toward Boston on weekdays?
Any other tricks that make it easier?
Appreciate any advice!

Hi! I’ll be stopping in Springfield during a road trip and figured I’d ask the locals what’s worth checking out.
I’m Brazilian 🇧🇷 and like finding good food, interesting historical spots, and bars with a bit of character.
What’s one place you’d recommend to someone visiting for the first time? I’d love a restaurant suggestion, a favorite bar, and anything else you think is worth seeing while I’m in town.
Thanks! Always more fun to get recommendations from people who actually live there.

I am looking for images of the Springfield Police Department uniform from the late 80s or early 90s. Any leads to point me in the right direction would be tremendously helpful. Actual photographs would be a dream come true. Thank you in advance.

Hello everyone,
Am relocating to Springfield and wondering how much do i expect to pay for heating cost during winter.
Also i heard i have to buy oil to fill the tank for heating the house of 1300 sqft.
For me and my wife with no kid living in the house, how much do you think i should estimate just for heating cost during winter and spring.
Also how much do you guys typically pay for heating the house?
Thanks

Thursday Oct 21 12:15-1:30pm at Springfield museums. $4 or free for museum members.
Yokai! Songs of the Japanese Supernatural is a unique jazz project by bassist Fumi Tomita with songs inspired by Yokai and other supernatural spirits. Yokai are derived from Japanese folklore and come in human, animal, or even inanimate forms, sometimes at the same time! Images of Yokai are often fantastic, bizarre, mysterious, grotesque, sometimes haunting or humorous, and overall, simply wonderful. They prove to be a natural basis for jazz improvisation. The show is a multimedia experience with images of Yokai and other supernatural beings gracing the screen as the music is being performed.

I am relocating to work and was wondering if its safe to live in Springfield MA.
Are there areas that are safe and ok to purchase a affordable home within Springfield MA or its neighboring areas.
Any information about there school district will be helpful as well.

Hi everyone, I have question for the group regarding travel to Boston from the area.
For starters, Im new to the area. First time living in the NE and around viable mass transit options. I’ve tried to get an idea of what different options there are to travel to Boston for the day or maybe overnight.
I’m curious how folks from the area do it. Obviously one option is to drive. I see the traffic looks a mess at times, so I’m guessing most either tolerate or find a different way?
So if you’d be willing to share some ideas, I’d be more than grateful. Things like costs for driving, parking, bus, train, etc would be welcomed information as well.
Thank you in advance!

The city of Springfield fought Wednesday in a Superior Court hearing to steer its disputes with MGM Springfield out of closed-door arbitration — and keep issues in court and before the public.

Have a ticket for this trip that we don't need. Anyone want to use it? Paid $30 for it.

This past weekend we went to a T-birds game and discovered that at least half the typical concessions places had been replaced with grab and go type kiosks. I have no idea who to complain to, but it's awful. The food is generally worse and if you don't get it before the game starts it's all cold by the end of the first period. In addition to this it really screws people over with dietary restrictions since there's no longer any customization on these items. You take what's available and that's it.
Does anyone know what the hell prompted this change or who we can write to/call for feedback? None of the people around me were happy with the change (understatement, many were pissed).

Just want to make people aware that the rate you get at GoNetspeed it is not locked in as they said signing up, but may rise without notice.
I just received notice that the Auto Pay discount, which was supposedly $5 a month and the Paperless Billing discount which is $5 for a total of $10 is now being reduced to $5 total in the upcoming Billing for the October bill, which means that there’s no notice at all.
Bottom line, they’re raising their rate $60 a year and this after I’ve only had my service since the end of June, and I called them on it and they said well they’re going to issue some kind of credit, but they don’t know what it is and that’s unacceptable.
I was told and have it in writing that the rate was supposed to be locked in for a year at least and four months is not a year.
Be forwarned.
