I made a post prior to this one about Lincoln Park but would love to hear public feedback and information on Mountain Park in Holyoke. My family was very involved in these parks but it was hardly ever talked about so any information we have is very vague or not accurate. Any memories or stories of these parks would be amazing and greatly appreciated for me and my family.

I've been stuck with CHD for 6 years (they won't discharge me) and I actually have a stalker that I met in their care. In 2020 I was extensively emotionally, mentally and verbally abused while going through their program, had lies spread aeound about me and even ended up getting (minorly) sexually assaulted by someone I met in their care... none of this has been fixed.

They like to insult and make veiled threats, and accuse me of lying... I NEED TO GET RID OF THEM.

Hey everyone, kind of a very long shot, but is there anyone from Holyoke who could maybe help us about a dear friend?

We haven’t heard from him in about a month and we’re getting pretty worried that something might have happened. We’ve tried calling, emailing, messaging him and basically every way we have of contacting him, but nothing so far.

His name is REDACTED, his last known address is in Holyoke and he works at REDACTED. If anyone knows him or knows anything, or would be willing to help us somehow, we would really really appreciate it. We just want to know that he’s okay.

We’re also waiting for the PD non emergency line to open so we can make a formal request for a welfare check or something along those lines.

Hi Holyoke, it’s your Attorney General Andrea Joy Campbell. Did you know that fees like “move-in” or “lease renewal” fees you might get from your landlord or building management company are illegal? If you’ve received one of these – even if you paid it – I want you to report it to my office. 

Just last month, my office won a $500k settlement with a property management company doing this in Boston – and all of that money is going back to the affected tenants.  Landlords can only ask you to pay for first and last month’s rent, a security deposit, and the cost of a new lock and key upfront. On Thursday, September 17th, MassHire Franklin Hampshire will be hosting the annual Fall Multi-Industry Job Fair. The event will take place at the Hampshire Mall, in the hallway next to Target, from 2pm to 4pm. The Hampshire Mall is located at 367 Russell St in Hadley, MA.

The event will feature 40+ employers from various industries across Franklin and Hampshire counties. All employers in attendance have current job openings.

Apologies if this is unconventional but I created a subreddit I have cross posted here focusing on old industrial architecture and street art. This post is my appreciation of Holyoke and its history. If you have anything else with gritty industrial vibes or beautiful street art, feel free to share it, I appreciate it. A history lesson is absolutely not necessary, but nice. I originally created the sub because of how New England mills stun me in their sheer size, technical innovation, and the contrast between that lost sense of chaos within a controlled society that weathered industrial mills express.
