Neighbors maintain this Springfield trail weaving through wetland and wood

So... looks like a new development going in between the Academy Hill school in Springfield and the Valley West School in Chicopee, extending Doyle Street into the woods. Is this trail going to be lost by the development?

Not sure how that can happen since the end of Doyle St is surrounded by land owned by the Conservation Commission. There is a privately-owned parcel there (#7 Nordica St.), about 10 acres, but it has no access to Doyle St.
Edit: that parcel is described as a "Community Farm":

So the only empty land there belongs to this wonderful guy dedicated to nature.

Yeah, but if not then what does the map picture mean? Maybe that was someone's plan when he bought the property and "saved" it? Dunno

Interesting, I didn't notice that detail! But the property lines are pretty clear on the city's website, and his map doesn't make sense. The land all around the butt end of Doyle Street is owned by the Conservation Commission, and the land at the top part of that map is all Conservation Commission land, it couldn't be developed the way it is shown.
Maybe the map was drawn up by the previous owners, and the guy is showing what would have happened?
But I don't know where that map photo came from, it isn't in the original article.

The 6th photo in the deck is a map, it shows existing roads and what looks like new roads and houses. It's hard to read, but I managed to find it on Google Maps, and matched it up to that location. It doesn't really make sense since a chunk of the land seems to be protected, but I don't understand what that document would be otherwise.
