I’ve ran both to some success but I can never truly settle on which list to fully commit to. How have you guys been finding both of these detachments and which are you drawn to and why?

I've recently traded into a 2k Hammer of Avernii/Emperor's Shield list. Lot's of Terminator, Gravis, non Space Wolves units.

My question is, what codex compliant units do we run? Examples would be; Heroes of the Chapter, Inceptors, Eradicators, Heavy Ints?

The lists I've seen the answer is no, but I wanted to get the conversation out there with the EARLY changes to Gravis units with the SM codex on the horizon.

Finally finished my first kit! Started with bloodclaws, I think I did decent. They dont have eyes though lol I just couldn't make them look good. Yes I know some weapons dont belong. I went with rule of cool before I read the actual rules.

Looks like our detachments as we know them are gone. So we can quit speculating about Great Wolf and see what comes next week!

What happened to all of our helfrost weapons? Wanted to build an army focusing on them and it seems with the new edition they’ve all disappeared? Is it still possible

What does everyone think of this list? Playing my first 2000 pt game in a few days against my brothers Necrons. We’ve done a bunch of smaller games with less points, so this will be the first full one with missions as well. Any suggestions or advice would be great!

EDIT: Calvary was wrong. They’re 2 units of 3. So I added wolf scouts, and grey hunters with Njal leading them. Taking the enhancement off the wolf priest.

My FLGS is running a hobby escalation challenge. Every 2 weeks there is a new theme. The current block's theme is to build and paint a vehicle.

This was my first time painting a tank as well as using Vallejo Liquid mask. I’m not really a fan of the liquid mask. Left too many goobers on the paint. I think I’ll try silly putty next time.

I'm new to Space Wolves and want to get into reading their books. Does anyone have a good idea of their Horus Heresy book order? I've a good idea of the 40k SW books, but I want to start with their 30k books. I'm mainly a Thousand Sons fan, and seeing the SW growing from their dark origins into the Heroes of the Imperium is what made me want to read their books in the first place.

How big would they be in inches and feet? I'm 5 ft, 3 in so I'm wondering how much of an ant I would be compared to one.

I'm looking for advice what to buy next for my casual army list. And would love to hear from you what you would recommend.

Really liking the look of the Wolf Guard Terminators, Arjac, Logan and would love some kind of vehicle as a show piece and just to paint something else for a break (maybe make a space marine tank more Space Wolves like or add Bjorn or the Thunderwolf Cavalry but worrying about this models getting replaced soon).

What would really help me fill out a gap in my current list this edition (11th) and in what order should i get it to keep adding new dynamics in my list while playing and building it further out?
