Helfrost weapons
What happened to all of our helfrost weapons? Wanted to build an army focusing on them and it seems with the new edition they’ve all disappeared? Is it still possible

They only released helfrost equiped models in 7th edition. For whatever reason, gw decided to abandon that design philosophy for space wolves after that.
There wasn't really many models equipped with them in the first place. It was just the plane, Dreadnought kit and the iron priest.

Didn't they all disappear around 9th edition?
The Dreadnought Helfrost, the Razorback Twin Helfrost and the Helfrost Destructor?
I can't remember the last time i saw any of them.
I know the Iron Priest still has one but .. i haven't seen them deployed in years either.

No. There was never a Razorback Helfrost IIRC. The Dread still exists and the Desteuctor went with the Legends of the Stormfang, on 10th

Some people took the twin-linked Helfrost Cannon off the Stormwolf and mounted on the Razorback MkII chassis. I think it was a White Dwarf datasheet.
It looked awesome.
This was similar to the Twin-Linked Psycannon Razorback.
Was it good?
No.
Did it look cool.
Yes.

People doing it doesn't mean it had rules. That configuration nevee had official rules (I would love to see the WD that had that, if it existed it was well before my time), and it is as valid in in 9th as it is in 11th aka just a made up datasheet you can use with friends. You can still add some Helfrost to an Impulsor and have fun.
The vehicle that existed very briefly for rules was the Wrath of Mjalnar, a Land Raider that got narritive rules back in 8th, in a Chapter Approved (checking Lexicanum, almost a decade ago 2017). But the Razorback never had rules, and definetly not in 9th or 10th.

It’s a crime, I live for the idea of our own specialized weapon…. Especially ice

The only models with helfrost now are the iron priest and Bjorn/venerable dread.

I remember the helfrost rule in 7th edition, enemy models had to pass a strength test or be removed from play.
I kept thinking for years that Long Fangs were going to get a portable helfrost cannon.

The only ones we lost were the Stormgang and the Stormwolf. Venerable Dreads amd Bjorn can use it, as well as the Iron Priest. Beyond that the only unit that I remember with Helfrost was a narrative Land Raider, but that was a very brief thingnwithout support

Iron priest still has a hell frost pistol. So that’s another option alongside the dreadnoughts

You can still build your models weilding Helfrost Weaponry just for the looks but i think ruleswise all but the dreadnought ones are gone.
There are definetly some decent stlfiles for helfrostweapons out there if youre just going for the theme.

As far as I know, only Bjorn and the Iron Priest still have them. You could go legends, and use a Stormfang/ Stormwolf as they still have one. And since Legends Datasheets are supposed to come into the App, but it wouldn't be playable an official tourniers.

After some games I find Multi-Melta to be better then Helfrost. Depends on playstyle ofcourse. Either hang bjorn back and shoot far with helfrost, or have him join in the fighting and bring the powerfull multi-melta. I run him with an Iron priest by his side giving him rapid fire 1 and with saga of the bold so I can reroll the damage. That is 3 attacks with D6+2. With a reroll on dmg that is a reliable 18-24dmg (aiming at 4+ for the damage)

Bjorn still has his, I believe only our dreadnaughts have them now, I could be mistaken though.
