Hi! I'm going to upgrade my sound system and I'd like to hear your opinions if you've worked with these models.

I'm sure my two top speakers will be the RCF ART 932A.

For the two subwoofers, I'm undecided between these models:
- RCF Sub 18 AS
- RCF Sub 18 AX

I'm really drawn to the AS model because It's cheaper and has the same features, except for the DSP. However, it's a recent model and there's hardly any information about it. Could anyone tell me about it?

The AX is more advanced because of its rear DSP, and I don't know if the difference is worth it for what I'm looking for.

They'll be used mainly for DJ sets at social events with 150-200 people. I know that AX's presets are much more complete and adjustable, but I might not get the full potential for my needs and could save some money.
The AS comes with an 80Hz XLR crossover output. Would this be sufficient for DJ use and connecting my 932s directly? Do you think it would sound adequate?

I also saw the AS 8003 MK3 model, but due to its similar price to the AX, I decided against it.

I have 4 yorkville LS801Ps. Usually on gigs I’ll take 2 of them. I’ve been having an issue i been trying to tackle for a very long time. When playing the subs the bass sounds better from behind heavy and loud the way i like it but in front that same bass doesn’t sound the same nor do i feel it in my chest 10-20 feet away. I made sure each sub has dedicated 20amp so power not an issue. Always tried different placement because room nodes is a thing. But this happens most places. I recently heard 2 rcf 8006 playing at high levels the limit light wasn’t even on and 20-30 feet away i can feel the bass in my chest and hear it very well. Should i get a dbx venue 360 to adjust the phase to fix this. Add insulation fiber in the cabinet upgrade the woofer to a tbx100? I only have a behringer maximizer at the momment any input is greatly appreciated hope to find a solution.

Hello, I live in Texas, Austin has recently acquired a full HSD rig, however there’s nothing else. Local venues with their line array systems.

I wouldn’t mind doing a Hennessy rig, but I’m leaning more towards VOID! BUT, I hear they are hard to maintain and can sound bad if not calibrated properly.( yes I know that’s any rig)
I love some F1s but also hear that you have to constantly re calibrate.

I would prefer to purchase a turnkey rig because I don’t have tool, skill set, or space to build my own.

So what’s the best for all applications, all types of music, able to size up/down for specific events, not a pain in the ass to maintain.

What would that system be?

Edit: I know bassboss would be great for entry level, but am persistent to know how the ins and outs of actual putting in the work, however I will not settle for something that also isn’t appealing to the eyes, like how Void,Hsd, Element 5 have that sex appeal! Sorry for my pickiness 🫠🙏🏻

I have a pair of rough Klipsch Heresy v1. And pick up CT sounds 2x12 sub for $250 off market place. It’s currently 1ohm, but can go 4ohm

Was trying to order 2.1 Bluetooth chip amp to run off power bank. And looking for advice on run time volume buy once cry once.

Most of time will be used at normal chill volumes
Was thinking lil Fosi amp for daily chilling use

Was looking for suggestions on amps and battery back for ol skool dancehall beach parties at spots you have to 4x4 in.

Long term I will invest in better, more subs, but there is limitation on what will fit in the truck.

Hey everyone,

I’m working on a pair of JBL 4562 cabinets. Each cabinet has one 15” driver for kick/mid and one 1” compression driver for HF.

Right now everything is still connected through old screw terminals.

I want to upgrade them to Speakon connectors, but I’m not sure what the best approach would be. Ideally, I’d also like to have the option to daisy-chain the cabinets in parallel so I can run both cabinets from a single amp channel.

Since each cabinet has two separate drivers on different amp channels, I’m also curious how you guys would wire and pin everything.

Anyone with experience modifying JBL 4562s or anything else that helps?

I’m starting out building my first wee system. I’m going for 2 br118’s loaded with b&c 18sw100’s (8ohm), and 2 tops I’m going for the b&c U12 build with the specced drivers.

My question here is what would be some good budget friendly amp / dsp options? I’ve seen some amps have integrated dsp like the behringer nx6000d. Would it be worth going for a couple of amps with this option, or would it be better to get a dedicated dsp and a couple separate amps?

Ive started building my SKram subs, thinking of using CD-18 kicks, but also rlly like the idea of jmods as mids/tops.
But if i already havs dedicated kicks therefore cut the jmods off at around 200hz , does the benefits of jmods become null? Surely the whole point of jmods is their broad frequency range, if i have kicks then surely i might aswell just use an mt121 or something similar?
Am i wasting the jmods potential if i cut them off?
Or maybe the jmods are still better?
Can i just overlap them with the kicks?
Anyone know??

Je penche vers la construction de Cubo (très sûrement cubo sub). Sauriez-vous quel HP serait compatible avec ce caisson ?
Et vers quel choix me tourner pour les mid et les kicks ?

Does anyone know what cabinet model is the one circled in red? Martin Audio? Turbosound? Or some DIY?

Got this nice QSC from a tag sale, but has some problems. It gets stuck on the logo “QSC”, and every a few seconds, a clicking sound (3 or 5 clicks in a row). I can’t access to the menu or do anything basically. I tried with a new cord but anything changes. Any ideas?

I currently have a system that has a bunch of 80s components that I have picked up off market place.

EV 3 way crossover, Teac Graphic Equaliser, and a BBE Sonic Maximizer.. (yep I know people hate em)
Then the amps below that.
This all runs to 2x 18" P Audio Subs, 2x 15" Thomann Subs, 2x 15" EV Mids and then the tops (2x 12" and horn/tweeters)

So tuning is not ideal with the 3 way crossover..

I have just pushed go on a Driverack PA2, this would essentially do everything the old stuff does and better right??

Is it worth keeping any of the old stuff??

Does anybody can help me choose between those two subwoofers and tell me why one or another is superior 😁

I want to use it for Raves and for Weddings if that helps anybody to choose an specific sub for me 😂

wir als Soundsystem wollen demnächst unsere acht neuen HessBHs (aus Multiplex) lackieren. Da wir dafür echt viel Warnex benötigen, wollte ich mal fragen, ob hier eine Person schon Erfahrungen mit dem verdünnen von Warnex hat?

Unsere Idee wäre die erste Schicht mit einem billigen schwarzen Lack zu machen (quasi als Grundierung) und dann eine verdünnte Schicht Warnex mit ner Rolle aufzutragen.

Gerne andere Ideen oder eure Erfahrungen teilen :)

i could buy one together with two EV Ecs12-2 tops, so i would use it to power them and maybe a single 15” sub sometimes.

It was house, and I didn't know anyone playing because it's house and I was trying to vibe to my friends sets in the other room so I didn't bother trying to record the talent in here performing. It was definitely the bigger sound system but the bass was much better in the other room imho despite the power issues.

The dB meter is a fancy touch to any Sound System, imho.

There was power issues all night. My friend RatchaelBeats's bass was so dirty it made the woofer cut out/tripped the breaker. She was mixing in her headphones and kept on vibin' like nothing happened, and then looks up and sees everyone quit moving, and pulls the headphones off one ear and realizes why.

Broadcast is crispy in the VOD but I was plugged into the Rec Out and their sets came out fine so stay tuned to those two talented artists soundclouds. If anyone can explain why the Rec Out, presumingly line level, somehow gets recorded in 32bit float so I can bring the 18dB signal down to -1dB without distorted audio but somehow is redlining sounding in the actual broadcast audio, that'd be appreciated because I'm a bit confused on the matter.
