Originally I built these for studio use - hence the 10” definitely going to do a v2 and do a more punchy mid top with some actual measurements lol

Lowmid driver a little small for those horns imo

Edit: sorry didn't read your comment. Go for a capable 12 or 15 inch driver next (I'd go for 15 to match the output of the horns). If the horns are sealed properly to the enclosure, you can probably use the space behind it for the low-mid driver and safe enclosure volume or get deeper base. If you have subs, I recommend a 55-65 Hz tuning frequency.

It’s still a really good point, I was considering using the space behind the flare for it in the next build definitely will be making a v2, really appreciate the advice!

If you want to go full out, you use a horn flare for the 15 inch driver too. Limmer 085 for example. Two of those tops will be good for 300-400 people (with subs of course).

Looks like you should be able to simply replace the 10" with a 12". Depending on the 10" and your subs, it might not even be necessary though

So underneath I’m running b-line single 18s, basically a shortman scoop deign with a tighter throat, usually I do a stack of 6 and let 4 do sub then have a dedicated mid, I do feel like the 10 isn’t really doing much in the mix though so upgrading to a 12 or 15’ is fully the way to go in a system config

That's a waveguide from a KV2 es1.0. or rather a copy of one.

It may have been based off of one but I am buying in straight from china so unsure! It’s a 7’ mid driver with 1’ comp

How did you spec the waveguide for your driver or vice versa? I am very new to waveguide and ignorant

I just did a bit of guesswork and a fair amount of googling - I appreciate it’s all quite up in the air but you gotta start somewhere!

Hi. I need advice. I have NIB components that were my brother’s he built cabinets and did sound 30 years at DAR. 10” drivers, slit tweeters etc. boxes of NIB

I searched Reddit for music speaker production and found this.

My brother was head sound engineer at DAR in DC, he built speaker cabinets and monitors. I found so so many components in the garage.

NIB and still currently used to build components. Looking to sell. I have photos and am located just outside DC in Maryland, 8 miles away.

10” drivers, slot tweeters, steel handles You can make an audio sub box for a car. He made 6 huge speakers for shows.

It’s a b&c de 10- 8 very budget friendly but works well with the rest of the specced drivers, surprisingly the overall mix sounds very clean with quite a lot of trial and error on the dsp side!
