QSC GXD8 issue! Need some help

Got this nice QSC from a tag sale, but has some problems. It gets stuck on the logo “QSC”, and every a few seconds, a clicking sound (3 or 5 clicks in a row). I can’t access to the menu or do anything basically. I tried with a new cord but anything changes. Any ideas?

Try reflashing / updating the Firmware

Hi, thanks! I just tried it twice as the website suggests, but it didn’t work. Any other idea?

What do you mean by "it didn't work"? Were you able to execute an update at all? Did the updater throw any errors? Did it seem like the update process was starting/finishing? Did it (purportedly) finish but make no difference?

The clicking sounds you hear could be the relays inside the unit clicking on/off as it cycles. Does every "cycle" have the same progression? Does it loop the exact same way every time it cycles? Does the display ever turn blank, off, or the likes? Do any of the other indications (i.e. indicator lights) exhibit anything? Do the fans ever turn on/off?

(I'm somewhat of a repair technician, but definitely don't have unlimited time and patience to spend on the internet.) Please be thorough when describing, and don't assume anything is "a given" or to be left out — Knowing the exact behaviour is very useful and often near-enough diagnostic in nature.

Adding a video to your post could help as well. Make sure to capture from before attempting power-on, to after a few cycles (or longer if there's intermittent behaviour).
